- In today's video, we are taking a look at the brand-new Onestock. This is an extremely versatile gunstock for playing Virtual Reality FPS games. Also known as first-person shooters. It supports almost every VR headset out there and can be adjusted on the fly with no tools whatsoever. Or at least, that's what we are told, in today's video we take a look at it and find out if it's any good. I also give you guys some Pavlov gameplay and show you why I think playing with a gunstock gives me more accuracy than playing without one. I hope you enjoy the video :D

its crazy how people dont undetstand the cost of RND and Development and employees and taxes and registration and god knows what. They think the product appears out of thin air and they just sell it... if you can make it for 20 dollars you would be rich... but you cant

I mean by all means make your own but you'll find it nowhere near as adjustable, plus you'll have tracking issues, and by the time you do come up with a stock design that works and is adjustable you would have spent dozens of hours. Idk bout you but my time is worth something. Would rather pay $150 and have a stock to use for years to come.

Just a thought, but couldn't they make the sliding be unlocked by twisting or tilting the controller rather than having to turn a screw? Might be a bit easier for switching weapons on the fly.
yes ive seen other vr stocks that work way better than this one where you can adjust it without any screws or anything it worked great with pump shotguns and also was way better for quick on the fly adjustments without needing to take off the headset

@@vicapple6663 i think it was called the protube it had like a recoil motor in the butt of the stock and it was easy enough to adjust it that you could do it without taking off your headset

one question was not answered for me in this review: are you able to tilt the controller holders a bit or do they have to be 90° to the barrel all the time? e.g. have the front controller holding at an angle so the upper part is more to the front? I did see a gunstock review some time ago, where they had such an adjustment. from looking at the picture, it seems there are two knobs at the controller holder, one probably for shifting it on the barrel, the second for tilting?
Both controllers can be freely tilted with adjustable tension.
Also they can be rotated along the axis of the handle of the controller, so you can also get your wrists to be in comfortable positions.
Unlike with any other gunstock, this also allows you to align your sights perfectly for all guns in all games if you care about that.
There is a bug in Arizona Sunshine 2 on the Quest Pro after the most recent update. All firearms are positioned in the wrong direction meaning that if you aim in front of you they point at the sky.
Two tips: First, set your quest to record your left eye so we can see what you're aiming at, and also you can take the straps off the controllers by removing the battery covers.

@@stuartmontgomery1223 I've browsed Etsy after the video just out of curiosity and literally the second thing that popped out was GunFace VR stock...sure, full kit is $60, but still more than a half price of the one advertised in the video + way more features. Trying to find something else, but this one so far I like the best + the video he put out looks super cool! very easy to use and adjust. I know what I spent my next check on, lol

honestly if you are constantly switching waeapons as long as you only have one primary one scondary and a melee because why not I think you will be fine. Also how would pump action shotguns or lever action rifles work.

You should try the sanlaki stock. Does the magnetic stoxk just like you talked about and tracking has less issues than you would expect. Also the creator is a really great person that responds to feedback very well

@@AsmanaAndLeo so there's a standard and lite version. Standard is 109 and lite is 70. There's also a elite version but I don't recommend that especially if you use quest 3. And both can be used by any supported headset given you have/buy the magnet you need if you switch devices

Can the Q3 controller have 3rd party accessories like the apexino knuckle strap?
Yes we have a version that supports these. The official Meta active straps are also supported.

what if someone created self tracking controllers that are similar to all around short sidearms, shotguns and rifles. This way someone could theoretically practice swapping between each weapon in real time within a game that can detect each individual "weaptroller"

Yup, unfortunately actually. I would normally use a wireless mic but Windows was giving me weird driver issues.
It honestly doesn't sound as bad as it did when quest 3 first came out

$200 😱 with that money I'd rather buy full body tracking. That price is just insane, but if it's a small start up I can understand they aren't exactly getting the benefit of mass production
Not just a small startup but a new startup with our first product. Within this niche within a niche the only way to get costs down is to 3D-print stuff yourself, and even products like that cost like a hundred bucks, mostly due to low volumes that will not magically explode by making things cheap.
£124 for some piping that holds something and bends is kinda crazy for a vr accessory 😮

Yeah, it's not as hard as people think. This model is literally just some tripod arms with some 3d printed controller holders. They're charging $200 for that...

You can legit just make your own Onestock pretty easily... It is just a tripod arm with some attachments. It isn't worth the freaking $200 asking price... That is an insane price tag for a tripod arm with some 3D printed stuff.
I feel like reloading would be insanely annoying with things like this.
It's not 3D printed, think maybe injection moulded, but definitely a little bit pricey. You pay for all the time and efforts and convenience I guess!

I can see this being cool for singleplayer but who's gonna be constantly changing the size in multiplayer?
Someone needs to make something like this with electronics and software built in to automatically adjust size based on the gun you're holding. Doesn't have to be "smart" per say, but something like having presets and you can just press buttons to select preset.

The angle of your wrists looks completely off for a shooting game. There is no gun that would require you to point your fingers up to the sky to shoot it straight forward.

If you're going for an "apple like" pricing, you better be able to deliver next day. Wouldn't pay this small fortune for something that "might" be delivered mid April. Not a chance... I've seen this before and the price keeps creeping up, where the few reviews I've seen they all had issues with "pre production" models, yeah right....

M4 and sg1. they are in a different heights, so the switch is neccesary. I did change my style, bc flashing ppl is too good :) and with my current style it is still not a standard thing to use a stock and do nades. I do them. I can. "if this was held down using magnets.." yeah this is sooo true. Not only it makes using the stock much more intuitive, but once you get it, no halfcupper can perform the speeds of a maghnetic stock. the problem is.. the can detach.... not uni tho :D "im supposed to have a straps on my hand but I basically never do" - OMG It is soo much better without them. Imagine not having the stock on the sling! no interruption, no slowing down ! (HOLSTER IT! :D ). "you dont need to buy a new one in order to use this" - it cannot be any different. A teraz prośba. Moglibyśmy zamienić kilka słów? Ten stock, jak dla mnie, to cash grab. Krzyczą że to najszybciej zmienialny stock, nie są nawet blisko do uniego.Nie zobaczysz klipu pokazującego faktyczną zmianę broni. nie da się szybko zmienić jeśli musisz użyc dwuch osobnych śrub, żeby to zmienić. Ja olałem śruby i udało mi się to zawrzeć w jednej dzwigni mimośrodowej. Ogólnie boli mnie ten stock i ich buńczuczność. Ja jak reklamowałem swój, używałem gameplayów i faktycznych klipów bez cięć. Zdaję sobię sprawę, że rynek uwielbia duże słowa, ale jest takie coś jak "false adveritsing". Zrobiłem lepszy stock niż oni a nigdy nie posunąłem się do kłamst pokroju "najlepszy "damn" gunstock na świecie". Jestem fanem od lat. Oglądam wszystko co wychodzi razem z kałami 3cimi ( btw czekam na Polskie przygody :D). Da się wyczuć w ludziach prawdziwość (w/g mnie). Oczywiście dodatkowy income może naciągać sprawę, ale nic co zostało tu powiedziane nie jest prawdą. Te fakty tyczą się większości w miarę dobrze zaprojektowanych stocków. onestock nie jest bardzo zły. Jeśli moglibyśmy zamienić kilka słów, bardzo chętnie wysłałbym Ci MK1 Pro (zwłaszcza że teraz to będzie kosztować 4 EUR nie 20 lub 40 :) ) i bardzo chętnie utworzę affiliate. Są lepsze stocki niż ten (już nawet nie mówie o swoim). Od kiedy wyszedł 1stock, i usłyszałem ich mantrę, niemogę spać po nocach :). Moja "firma" nie ma nakładu finansowego, który pozwoliłby na taki marketing jak oni mają. różnica jest taka, że teraz ide grać w Pavlova i wiem, że bede gdzieś na górze listy, a twórcy tego stocka nawet nie są mi znani w grze. Znam i grałem z ludzmi od Kobry (Falandorn jest dobry) RavenVR (dostaje łomot za każdym razem :) ) czy SkolVR ( to casual. a mimo wszystko biznes mu idzie. tomhawk wygląda dobrze...). WieldVR nie gra. wield jest tu dla hajsu. Może i to jest ok, ale nie jest ok kłamanie, że chłop ma najlepszy stock. Ok trochę sie zapędziłęm :) Wpadnij proszę na mój YT. Daj jaki kolwiek znak, że chciałbyś pogadać. Są 2 rodzaje polaków. ściemniacze i pracocholicy. tych drugich ceni się za granicą. Wiem bo tam żyję (m. in. w Irlandii. :) Ja, dumnie samoklasyfikuje się do tych drugich. Nie chodzi o 9 to 5, chodzi o perfekcję w wykonaniu pracy. Mogę z ręką na sercu i pełnym przekonaniem stwierdzić, ten stock nie równa sie unistockowi. Nie zależy mi na hajsie. moje ceny nie są tak kosmiczne jak ten stock, czy tomahawk. Nawet nie są wyższe od protuba, a ten potrafi się zgubić podczas grania. Jest tu coś do udowodnienia. Strasznie dużo kłamią ci producenci stocków. Jakoś się nie mogę z tym pogodzić. PS. moja strona nie jest tak zajebista jak ich. Robiłem ją sam, a wolę łupać w Pawka, więc daleko jej, ale szczerze zapraszam uf.company.com i na mój YT. Pozdro sąsiad :D
