My mom just put up a design wall and as she was showing it off I hollered “Greetings ALL and welcome to Dave’s craft room!” Having the vertical space to lay things out is honestly a game changer!!
Love that!!
I am so happy that the top hat- wearing polar bear has a comfortable daily life 😂
You are so amazing and creative. I really enjoy your videos.
Is there an earthquake?😂😂
Haha! That cracked me up too. 😂
"I don't feel the need to pin all that." "Where is this stuff going?" Truly someone without cats.
😂😂😂
Right🤣🤣
How you know it's been Davetised, when its done unlike anything or anyone else's quilt. 😊😊😊
Dave, you are tremendous! The box was a hit in your hands. Bravo!!!❤
Привіт з України!Дякую Dave,СУПЕР!😊😃🇺🇦
Weeee! Free fabric is always fun!
4 at a time flying geese are the bomb! I never pin except for bindings or tricky apparel.
Do your own thang Dave! That's why we're here!! To see ❤"Davitization"❤
The polar bear has it's own thinking cap! Lovely quilt
Awesome quilt❤️
Flying geese and appliqué together, yes!❤️

I'm having a happy life watching you Daveitize your quilt today! It's magnificent! You amaze me--I am always surprised that you make it work so beautifully!
"Flying geese the-house-down." I freaking love it!
Ikr-I always get a kick out if his videos, they’re real and like his everyday not made to be on camera like lots of other UA-camrs--keep it up Dave 🥰
@@evanorth3056 I'm so happy I discovered Dave. He really motivates me to keep sewing and quilting.
"It has to be perfect." Two minutes later: " I didn't count them". ❤ the quilt and so glad you're back
“Is there an earthquake?” as a reason not to pin… I’m gonna use that! 😂🤣😂
I'm so glad to see you. I've missed you.
You never disappoint. Always make time to watch your videos.
I love how creative you are ..watch all your shows! Keep up the great things you are doing
Ditto! Love watching someone making a quilt with brains, not just charm packs!
Ahhhhhh I love flying Geese. My favourite block.... so looking forward to this video.
Glad you're back! Another awesome quilt!
Your quilt tops remind me of Andy Warhol art. Your very talented. Keep up the wonderful creations. Love watching you!
Hey Dave, I think you just invented a new quilting term “chunks”. lol 😂
Neighbourhood chunks 😊
You always make the fabrics work. I love that. Awesome as always and Davitizing should be a thing lol ❤
Ok. Yes, you aren't a tutorial, HOWEVER, I think your videos are useful for beginners because it shows a quilt from beginning to end.
It shows just how much: Tadaa! I figured out how to do this one block! Now I have to make half a kajillion of them! ... there is in any one project.
And then the: Tadaa! I made half a kajillion of this one block! Now I have to sew them together!
Wonderful fun color and animals came out great
Always look forward to Dave’s craft room😊
Man I haven't watched a Dave video in so long. The fabric is awesome, and my brain is refreshed.
Who doesn’t love a polar bear in a red hat.
Who doesn’t love pretty fabric 😁
This has given me a good idea to finish a quilt top that is crazy bright with Kaffe Fassett fabrics. Thank you!! Loved this one today.
I get so happy to see you on u tube. I love listening to your chatting about stuff. Great work Dave, please don’t ever stop creating.
Lol. Where are they going? Pins ?
Yay it’s a Dave Tuesday! I love the FG every whichaway and what a great way to use a panel. How else would you use that? I have several cuz they’re so cute but no idea what do with them. Thanks for the inspiration!💚❤️💕
I only discovered you recently. I love your work. Always so beautiful! Rock on!!!!!
Fantastic! Love how you dive in! Love the flying geese and the animals! It definitely has the Dave “vibe.”
Amazing, like fireworks over the Esplanade.( in Boston) you are incredible.
I watch your videos for inspiration, and you never disappoint!!
Sos un GENIO!!! Admiro tu creatividad!!
Saludos desde Argentina!!!
This turned out so cute!
AMAZING! Truly marvelous! ❤👍from Somerset UK
Congrats on the sewers club! Wicked quilt!!!!!
So cool that the Sewer's Club reached out to you and I'm sure they're thrilled with the result that came out of their box. Sorry I missed you when you were home in PA - we're neighbors, ya' know! Thanks once again for an awesome video.
Stunning combo of traditional technique and “Davified” style. Congratulations on your partnership with Sewer’s Club! The box had some fabulous fabrics.
So glad you’re back, this is absolutely my favorite quilt that you have ever made. It is fabulous.
Stunning! So gorg.
Excellent project & beautifully put together as always 💫
I couldn’t imagine what you were going to do with that random yardage, but as usual, it is amazing! You are a creative genius! ❤
So cute, great job! Plus I love your chill jazz. "Successful life"!!
Like always, a fabulous Daveitized quilt.
Wow! What a great piece of art with just one block design! Your positioning of light and dark geese really make your whole quilt pop!! Thanks for sharing!!
I love, love, love the vision you have for your channel to be geared toward folks who know a little about quilting!! I love that all the things about it. You keep thinking on the outside of the box! It is inspiring. 💗✌🏻
I love this quilt! It turned out beautifully and I adore the Japanese fabric…those animals are adorable! ❤
Your quilt is beautiful and colorful. I don't like to sew Flying Geese blocks. You did a great job.
I'm going to spend the next 5 to 10 years trimming 😂😂😂 Exactly how I feel 🤦♀️ Same with pins and earthquakes 😂😂😂
Great quilt. I feel like every quilter can learn something from you. Forget what you think you know. Throw in some unorthodox methods with old school techniques. Be fearless. Who says? Think less. Do more.
Those animals are everything. I'm glad they vibe so well with the geese, you never know, geese aren't always so kind.
Hey, Dave! Fabulous quilt as always!
IMHO you underestimate how far-reaching your videos are. As you say, there are lots of tutorials for basic techniques and block construction that are accessible to new(er) sewers. You go beyond that and demonstrate more advanced-or less frequently seen methods of construction such as your chain-piecing of the flying geese blocks and the ‘chunking’ of units when assembling the quilt top. What makes your videos so original and appealing-besides your charming personality and sense of humour-is the creativity you demonstrate in the design and construction of each of your quilts.
I use the 4-at-a-time flying geese method as well, but someone once suggested rounding up any requiring a 7/8” measurement to the next inch. It’s easier to cut and allows for slight errors in seam allowances. I’ve recently found an FPP pattern by Center Street Quilts on Etsy that makes strips of flying geese of different sizes and shapes. It may be worth checking out.
Thanks, and stay well!

Your quilt makes me happy!
Ha ha, “earthquake”
I promise somehow I’m capable of passing my pieces through done unseeable force field of another universe on the way to the feed dogs- one where there’s clearly (evident by vast repeated experiences) an active earthquake!
Guau que precioso mil gracias por enseñar saludos Uruguay 🇺🇾❤️
I love your flying geese Dave! They are one of my favorite traditional blocks. Although, my original Overlapping Geese pattern is also very interesting! 😉 A fun modern traditionalist riff on flying geese.
Hi Dave I totally love watching your channel you’re very entertaining and so talented I’ve not seen one Quilt I have not liked, this quilt is so cute I love it I like how you appliqué the little animals hair and they’re so fitting and the flying geese are awesome thank you so much for sharing your talent with us ❣️🧵✂️🪡🥰💕💗💖
Love the addition of the animal appliques! Also, I'm in a panic because I'm caught up with all your episodes and now I don't know what to do with my life.
I get it about pinning, but for me I just like sticking pins in things muahaha. Anyway that's not why I started to comment, I wanted to say I love your adorable creation, thanks for sharing this and I am off to check out the sewers club now. Tada!
Beautiful result! Thanks so much for sharing. ❤👍from Somerset UK
As always, a great job. Love it,
Super cute! Love all your creations.
L❤VE, L💚VE, L💜VE YOUR creative and artistic work!! Always interesting to see how you'll Davitise the quilt.
I had to watch half the video this a.m. as I got ready for work; and looked forward to finishing it tonight!
Totally worth the wait. Cheers from Down Under.
Another great one Dave! I didn’t know about four at a time flying geese. I’m off to check it out.
Love your quilt and the "window" technique. Welcome home!
Just found you today, your quilts are so unique, I love them, you are very talented
Wholly smokes dude! That looks all kinds of neat. I wondered why they got the name flying geese but I can see it when it's on the design wall - yeah!
LOL i
Thank you for admitting to washing your fabric! I always wash mine, first, but I don't usually tell anyone anymore - so they don't freak out. 🙂 I have never seen so many flying geese at once - good job!
Oh gee. Had no idea it was a faux pax!
It seems like those who don’t wash first freak out about those who do but not the other way around. 🤷♀️
Love flying geese! Looks great!
Fabulous as always, you’re such an inspiration
PS, how the heck do you do that POP with your tongue so clearly! Hahaha I’ve tried but to no avail!
you place your tongue on the roof of your mouth, suck out as much air as you can and then *POP* release it 💁♂️😜👨🏻
@@davescraftroom I’m going to have to practice Dave!!! Thx!
Brilliant. I just love your creativity.
Thanks for the pattern and tutorial!
Another great quilt Dave.
I clicked so fast! I'm excited to see your South Korean fabric hauls!
Looks like a lot of work went into it and look awesome.
Cute!!
The name is everything I love it!
I love your work ❤ so inspiring 🎉
Love it. I’ve always heard that method of joining the layers called “BIRTHING” the quilt… I understand the thinking, but can say I love the imagery!
me either that's a bit alarming imagery 😂😂👨🏻
Hey Dave, good to see you again! Thankful you’re back safely from travels! Love how of the 16 blocks you had to make extra, you incorporated them throughout the quilt, not just on the top! Also, when you post your music, is it basically ‘in order’ to where its been added to the video? Thx, and as always, love your thinking outside the box! Love the little doggie sayings too! 🐾
ya it's in order 😜👨🏻 I think unless I made a mistake 😅
Thanks you for sharing
Hey Dave - I’ve had problems with the quilt top puckering up when I’ve tried the “sew backing with top and batting together and then turn it right sides out,” have you had this problem? Is it just me?
I guess I have and I just kind of smoosh it out 😂 when you lay the layers out and trim around it, it *has* to be *perfect*... definitely easier with smaller quilts.
Have a peaceful life!!
Dave that is awesome.
I am About to make a heart quilt and I need flying geese for that✌🏽
L8ve your content
So joyful 🎉
Good job Dave
I am so happy I found this channel. Dave brings the fun to quilting and it's so refreshing!! I always watch his videos while I work on my projects :)
Wow, Dave, this is terrific even for you! I love it! And I can’t wait to see what fabric you brought home. You’ve been around since we saw you last! So great!
I am sad but also a little glad we don’t have fabric subscriptions here in Germany (not that I know of). I would have even more fabric. But it would be so much fun !
