I love how some of the fabrics wander off by themselves and some stick together. Mesmerizing to watch it all come together. I'm sure Dave's Craft Mom is very happy with her quilt.
Dave's Craft Mom will be impressed that you got all the sides of the curves to match their neighbors at the intersections. She taught you well, young grasshopper.
Just today I discovered you Dave. Thank you!! Thanks for being you. I am still a newbie at quilting, I watch some other channels while gritting my teeth, hoping they'll go faster! Today I watched 5-6 of your videos, this Wanderer in the Wilderness really touched me. And by that I mean - I was laughing till I cried. 💜 I math like you, I read but don't really follow directions similar to you. Absolutely LOVE love those fabrics. You and your Mom are so lucky to have each other. I'll be watching your channel now. 😎
Just went to Walmart, bought washable markers and freezer paper. I’ve never done anything like this but I absolutely love this quilt and your free quilting style so here goes, wish me luck! ✌️
Never in my life would I have imagined anyone painting the grain like that! What a fabulous artist you are & a rare talent. Thank you for restoring a timeless piece.
Gorgeous quilt, gorgeous colors, gorgeous use of Kaffe fabrics. I do not think you need to slow down - people can just rewatch or slow the video speed themselves! And I am an eyeball quilter too. Loved the sped up math voice, you are hilarious - a spot of joy, enjoyment, and laughing in my day, much needed. ❤
OMG Dave!!! You have the luckiest mum alive! I bet she loved it, didn't she? I'm terrified of Kaffe Fassett fabric because I'm colour blind and I KNOW I can't see half the colours Kaffe plays with. But you have used it fabulously. Bravo!
I cannot tell a lie. I had to rewind and watch you grab the scissors with your foot again. Very interesting and unique skill set! Thanks for the laugh and the beautiful quilt!
I really enjoy your wild and wacky sense of humor and artistic style and look forward to what you're going to come up with next. I've never commented on a UA-cam video before, but wanted to give feedback that I appreciate the time lapse style. I can see where someone that's just learning might want the slow, show-every-stitch tutorial, but I am a seasoned sewer and just want to see the process from conception to finish as you do through the time lapse meathod. Love hearing your thought process! Thanks!
OMG you grabbing the scissors with. your toes made me laugh out loud. Hilarious!! I love your colorful quilt and your mama is one lucky lady to have such a gifted and talented son. Cheers from Tampa :-)
Cool, neva thought of using the Crayola washable markers for marking in sewing (quilting)-will def be adding a set of those to my sewing/quilting supplies!!!
I love this design it is magnificent with KAFFE FASSETT FABRIC you are a artist with all the detail you applied to the quilt. I am new to quilting and hope to do as well as you have done.
I'm so glad this came across my Google page! Now I'm one of your subscribers. I love your perfect imperfections . I don't know if I'm ready for curves yet, but I really love how this quilt turned out. You are also funny and entertaining! Love the scissors grab. Don't think I can do that😆
Dave!! How I love your videos seeewwwwww, let me count the ways. Straight up you say you have no idea what you’re doing sooo “WE ARE GOING TO DAVETIZE IT.” What else would we expect? This quilt is gorgeous and definitely deserved to be hand quilted. And….O M G! When I actually saw someone else pick things up with their toes other than my adult children and myself!!!!😂😂😂🤗🤗🤗🦶🏼✂️🖊️🖊️🦶🏼!!! YES!!!! My husband thinks I’m nuts but after numerous back surgeries, you do anything to not have to bend over. If I can’t pick it up it gets kicked out of the walkway and someone else can pick it up when they come h!! ANOTHER OUTSTANDING VIDEO and I guarantee Mom loves it!! Thank you for sharing your talent and creativity with us. You are truly a gifted fabric artist!! Much love from Laura in KY! Will be chomping at the bit for 2 weeks and a new one. If I need Dave fix I rewatch some of your earlier episodes. 💙💙🪡🧵✂️🤣
Thank you for your video; a reminder to trust yourself. There use to be fashion dolls to show the latest fashions from Paris and women looked at the dolls and made full size patterns on their own to make the latest greatest. Your can do approach reminds me I have a bean in my head and I can figure it out.
String and a pencil for a large compass! I needed a 30" circle for a DeathStar quilt, worked perfectly! I ALWAYS use washable markers 😂 The whole set costs less than one quilters marking pen! Wish they make a white one! 🙃 Lovely quilt and I'm not a "brights" kinda gal! ❤
A stunning quilt! What a gift for your Mom! Wow! I hope Kaffe Fassett sees this video. Also, I learn a lot from you. I am that person who has to have everything 'just so'. Your videos show me that there are different ways of doing things, with the same perfect outcome. 💖 Thank you for that.
Hola que tal encantada; ya solo los colores es una poesía salvaje y tú lo y terminas con esa combinación espectacular felicitaciones saludos Uruguay 🇺🇾❤️
Beautiful quilt Dave. I love how you do math, I am the same. My best pal can just listen to a plan and bing, bang, bong she has the whole thing planned out. I have never seen a quilting frame like this, much better than bending over a traditional one. Thanks for sharing your creativity with us.
I am glad to see someone else who picks up things with their foot. I just hate bending down to pick up something off the floor when I have perfectly good toes to do it (or maybe I am just lazy). I made one drunkard's path quilt and said never again, but I have a LOT of Kaffe fabric scraps waiting for an idea.
I love watching you do random - I have a very hard time with random, but yours turn out beautiful and fascinating. I actually learned to love curves after making a whole quilt of them. I will definitely try to remember the name change to Wanderer in the Wilderness - much better!
When you started to work with the fabric, I was mesmerized! Thank you. What a lucky Mom to be gifted this wonderful and beautiful quilt! ~Sharon from Florida
Dave, I watch and learn from you and your patient perseverance . This quilt is superior!! I’m so glad you gifted this to your mum as it will stay in the family. It’s absolutely beautiful. 🎉
As a primary school teacher in the uk I was wetting myself laughing at your mathematical calculations - your the best 😂🤣
Ooof… a teacher…..laughing at HIS maths skills… while using the wrong “you’re”…🫣😂
@cazkiwinz4300 When I become president I'm gonna get rid of your and you're and they're both gonna be written "ur"
@@davescraftroom haha, luckily she’s from the UK, I’m from New Zealand… Presidents don’t have any authority over us…. 😜

Dave's Craft Mom will be impressed that you got all the sides of the curves to match their neighbors at the intersections. She taught you well, young grasshopper.
Agreed. I’ve been quilting for 30 years and cannot get curves to match during construction. Does my head in. I’ll maybe try with Kaffe fabric.
I’m giggling as I’m also going around and around when I do my maths. Love seeing you laughing at yourself.
I like The Wanderer in the Wilderness name change; and the quilt is lovely!

I can relate so hard to “I never know, I never measure anything” 😂
This quilt is absolutely stunning, I adore the fabrics. Your videos are such a joy to watch. Thank you!
Stunning!
You surely did do that mouth pop! You make me smile. Great quilt! Davitized.
You would have made a glorious quilt from this design in any fabric, but the Kaffe Fasset fabrics do of course look amazing
Picking those scissors with your toes sent me over the edge!! 😅😅
Your mother is going to love this quilt. It is beautiful. Thank you.
That is just beautiful. Great job.
Never in my life would I have imagined anyone painting the grain like that! What a fabulous artist you are & a rare talent. Thank you for restoring a timeless piece.
What does painting the grain mean?
As always you threw the ball out of the park. Your mother will love it. I love it. Thanks for sharing and keep on quilting. ❤
Love-love-love the quilt - as well as the special Dave touch with the foot! Keep that crazy, quirky imagination of yours in high gear. ❤

I love your channel, Dave, and here I stumble across your video using fabrics from my favorite designer, Kaffe. It turned out beautiful!!
Great pattern for the fabrics. Good job on the math😀, that is my big challenge as I'm so dyslexic. ✌
Love your colorful blocks. Wow. A great sewing job done.
You make me feel like doing whatever tf I want when I'm making quilts and I love that for me. 💜 This is gorgeous as usual. 😍
