I think the front pocket thing for me is a bit more complicated than you mentioned here. Some people want quick access to to their keys or wallet and the Goruck only gives the front pocket option so unfortunately for some of us that is something we kinda have to complain about. Good example for me would be like when approaching my office door I'd way prefer to just swing the bag around and grab my keys out of the front pocket. Not often do I need to grab a magazine or something large like that quickly, ha. Still, I don't find the front pocket to be as bad as most reviews make it out to be if the bag is moderately packed. Anyway, good overview! Lots of good info for people here.
I don't like that recycled firefighter tries to make it look like Jake is sitting there in his garage or whatever it is sewing backpacks all day. They are manufactured in bigger scale. Thanks for a great video.
Great review. Thanks. What about comparing the capacities of each of these bags? Would you say they are equal? I've heard lots of reviews of the GR1 21 that it feels much larger do to its design (wider at the bottom).
@@luisramosyoungbloke1232 i have both the recyclyed firefighter 24 and a usa goruck gr1 21l, and theres no way that the recycled firefighter 24 is only 18 litres, no matter what their site says. I can fit everything from my gr1 21l into my recycled firefighter 24 and still have decent room left over. In fact, I would say the size of the recycled firefighter 24 is closer to the goruck gr1 26l than to the gr1 21l version. No clue why the size is listed as only 18liters on recycled firefighters site now, as originally the recyclyed firefighter 24 size was listed as 22 liters and even that i felt was on the low size estimation wise.
Enjoyed the video. Only comment would be to keep price in mind, there is a $125 difference, so you can’t expect the same level of materials on both bags.
Hi! Curious, if you still have the RFF, did you notice the top of the straps lack any padding 2" from the top - is that normal or a mistake? Because it means just fabric is sitting on my shoulders without any protection...

I REALLY LIKE HOW YOU USED THE MOLLE ATTACHMENTS ON YOUR GORUCK.
@@luisramosyoungbloke1232 Good thinking!!
Do you find any issues with GR? Some said that the Vietnam version is not as good as the USA version in terms of the color and zipper. Thanks!

@@luisramosyoungbloke1232 Thanks so much for responding! If you still have the bag, would you recommend it?
Sort of bummed they are always out of frame sheet and don't even offer sternum strap or patches that fit front. Do you think 24 needs frame sheet?
