The only thing bad about this game is the butchered fatalities and lame endings. Everything else about the game is VERY solid. Also its always weird to me when a critic cant help but use current day standards in gaming as a knock on a classic, you HAVE to seperate the two and review it based squarely upon what the standards where back then.
Keep in mind he said he was *told* it was the worst, but the vid creator himself said it was OK. But yea too many people judging the old games like they were under the standards of newer titles. Armageddon was pretty good imo lol

Armageddon definitely turned out more rough than it should have due to technical limitations, budget and time constraints, which caused many issues, such as no individual fatalities, reused assets and some movesets amongst a huge character roster, and many cut things in Konquest (there was a bow for Taven to use, and you would've been able to always pull out the sword in battle. I'm sure there was probably more they had planned for this mode). Also, many arenas and even one (probably?) location from Konquest were cut early in development. Even the minigames had suffered, reduced to only one, and to be fair, Motor Kombat is certainly not as good as Chess or Puzzle Kombat from the previous entry. It IS fun, but gets repetitive quickly, more stages and hazards (and maybe powerups) would've been welcome. BUT, despite all this, it's still an extremely fun game. Air combat is a cool feature, Kreate your Kharacter is undoubtedly a huge plus, especially when you can create completely broken and OP characters lol (beware of John and his infamous "John Style"), Kreate your Fatality still allows for some nice brutality even with all its flaws, new arenas absolutely kick ass, the soundtrack is god tier and on par with Deception (sometimes even better!), having playable former bosses like Moloch and Onaga without nerfing them to shit was a good and based decision from devs. Hell, they've managed to make this Konquest really fun actually. Despite the core gameplay being somewhat repetitive at first glance, they managed to make up for it with lots of different locations with their own environmental traps to use against enemies, numerous times you're given a new and different weapon to play around with for a short amount of time, they did everything to spice it up as much as possible, and I believe they succeeded. I will only call this game worst in terms of deleted content, damn it got gutted severely in this aspect. Oh, and about Sheeva in this version... Holy... Damn.
