- Paul McCartney wrote and performs on a song on Ringo Starr's new EP "Rewind Forward." But Starr says his friend and fellow Beatle made one faux pas when he submitted the track.

the thought of them FaceTiming each is absolutely adorable ugh ♥️
I was thinking the exact same thing!❤
He's the very least but last and living legend
I hope one of them thought to record them but probably not!
Holy cow. Ringo is a 60s icon yet he actually knows about FaceTime. With Paul, no less. And I'm still figuring out how to use a cell phone.
@@richardweiler6931 Yeah ditto, I'm totally at sea with my new phone. It's like I'll have to take a course and/or be tutored (tortured is more like it).
I love how humble Ringo has remained through the decades. Like dude was happy just to be a part of the biggest group in Rock history. Never an ounce of jealousy or spite. I really feel like he was the peace keeper of the group when it called for it.
Pop history.
They performed pop music.
The first boy band.
The world is a better place because of music - it is a gift! … what it does for our heads , and hearts and soul!! And the Beatles were and still are one of the greatest givers of the gift of music!!!
@@Dale-r3c5y and also the first rock band. They performed rock music.
Only at first, then just occasionally. They've got 4 truly psychedelic rock albums, there's still a pop sensibility because it was their thing, but it's foolish to say they were only pop.@@Dale-r3c5y
"He'd actually done the drums, so we had to take them off". This is adorable, so professional
I bet Paul thought it was funny, I can kinda imagine Paul giggling as he anticipates Ringo hearing it for the first time
I bet Paul did the drums better@@dodolord
@@billmurphypenguins3774 In his dreams...
@billmurphypenguins3774 😅 even though I imagine Paul did a decent job, this is a bet I guarantee you would have lost. I doubt there are many actual drummers that could hope to make that claim.
We heard what he said
Ringo got along with every Beatle. Peace and ❤
Except for the multiple times he quit.
He didn't want to be the next Pete Best.
He even got along with John who often disrespected Ringo's abilities and contribution to the group. Ringo may have been shorter than John, but Ringo was the bigger man.
He was the Heart of the Beatles
@@virginiaconner3340
Literally the only man in the world that can tell Paul McCartney, "write me a song" and then Paul just says, "ok". Man you've gotta love that. So awesome.
Yes I get by with a little help from my friends.
I love that Paul did the drum tracks to troll Ringo 😅
Ringo tried it with John, but he’s still waiting for a response…
Yeah .....so Awesome..... 😏
Right on !!
It's so heart warming to know they still keep in touch regularly and genuinely care about each other. True mates!
Paul sending the mix with the drums on 😂
They had to sound how Paul heard them in his head 😅
And I’m sure it didn’t occur to Paul that was funny. He was just in the zone. PMac is a “Little Red Hen” type. ‘I’ll do it myself.’

@@drummerlovesbookworm9738no I can see Paul doing it as a joke to mess with Ringo
Paul being Paul. Some things never change haha
I love Ringo he is always so laid back & cool. ✌🏽❤️
I'm glad they not only interact, but seem to really enjoy each other after all this time.
How could they not, they’re the only ones who know what they lived through as The Beatles; the early days before fame and everything that followed. What a wild ride - no one else could possibly understand that band of brothers.
@@themermaidstale5008also Paul and Ringo were always closer than the other Beatles after the break up

Ringo was the one who was always closest to the other 3.
They've known each other for a very long time.

The album Ringo (1973) featured all four Beatles and two #1 hits. Classic and underrated.
Nel suo disco mia zia suona il basso ma lui non gli sta dietro
Sixty years and still making music with his buddy. Wonderful.
Yes a wonderful everlasting friendship
Ringo never was "conflictive".. I adore HIM!! ❤❤❤❤
These guys are a treasure we re still lucky to have around.
Saying casually to Paul "write me a song!" is just hilarious to me! Never change Ringo!
It's a must for any ex Beatles to write Ringo a song.
Exactly. All three have done this for Ringo! Glad to see the tradition continues.
Paul casually saying oh, ok! Love it!!!
Always looking for the talent to throw him some scraps😢
Kind of like Christie McVie asking Stevie Nicks to sing backup.
I love Ringo. Most genuine of all. Never arrogant or rude.
Didn't Ringo once say, "They're the three brothers I never had." The world is better because of this guy's crew.
I believe he did. I think Ringo was an only child, and he has always talked about the other Beatles as the brothers he never had growing up.
It's hard for young people of this generation to understand how truly popular The Beatles were in their time. They think it's something like Taylor Swift. But it's not, it was different. The Beatles literally defined their era. There is no documentary about the influence of the 60s without the Beatles in it. They are preserved in time capsules. The most influential band in history. The biggest Show Business Act of all time. Nothing like it will ever happen again😢
@davyanonymous9674 yes, you're right. Kids today just don't get it. A phenomenon that we will never see the likes of again. July 6th, 1957. The day 2 forces of nature collided.
@JR-zv6qm There's actually a tremendous amount that the 'kids of today' and in fact all millennials, cannot get their heads around!
@@davyanonymous9674 I agree with much of what you say, although The Beatles are not confined to a time capsule. Their music continues to be played on radio stations today as if they are a current band. It's actually hard to believe that they broke up in 1969!
I remember the Beatles entering the U.S., I was 14 at the time. They gave us their gifted music, I’ve always loved Ringo playing his drums. I miss the four Beatles from the 60’s, but their music lives on in many’s hearts. Paul, John, George & Ringo are in my heart! ♥️♥️♥️♥️🙏🙏
John, Paul, George & Ringo you mean.
(Speaking of the "60s" and 70s)
Kathy, at the end of one of their videos (VHS), I was surprised how powerful John Lennon's voice was.
They were clowning around doing that last song or something.
(I can't recall the song)
"All Together Now," that's it.
Powerful there.
Surprised me .
❤❤ 😃
You are blessed to have been able to see them when they were still together. ❤

@@christopherjones4789 Yes. He joined the Beatles in '62 but they knew each other well before that when Ringo was with Rory Storm.
I wonder if John would have ever reconciled with the Lads.

Amazing work ethic by Paul and Ringo and George & John back in the day. ❤️✌️🤟🏼
I absolutely adore Ringo. He seems like a very loving man. It's awesome that he and Paul are still buddies after all these years. That is a true friendship and love.
They are the only two who actually understand what happened to them.
Absolutely. As long as they're both alive this world can't be too bad, can it?
Ringo seemed like a cool guy back in the day. I understand he was a pretty cold womanizer but that's life, at least he wasn't putting women and kids in the ER like ole Johnny boy McGee there.
@@hansolo631and when did John do that? Evidence please
Octopus's garden was my favorite song of him being a Beatles. When we were fab from his solo career is my close favorite of many.☮️
To a Beatles fan, they’re the same today as they were in 1965. Everything Paul and Ringo do is still intriguing, still amazing.
Hey Ringo I remember shaking your hand right after the Bruce Springsteen concert in LA in 1980 it’s still one of the highlights of my life and I just turned 67

Cool story! 1991, I was working as a Limo Driver in Beverly Hills, California. While waiting for a client in the lobby of a high-rise condominium complex on Wilshire Blvd.....who walked in but Ringo and Barbara Bach. They didn't speak to me, but I was only a few feet from them. Yeah...I was STARSTRUCK!
That is cool and a fantastic way to meet a legend.
That’s cool!
What a thrill!
When watching Get Back, I remember thinking how much of a thrill it was for a young Billy Preston to be invited over, get on the keyboard and start jamming with these guys. The look on his face was that of a young child at Santa’s workshop or something.
I understand now why he was invited to play with them: that cat could really play !

Ringo never let the fame get to his head. Always just easy-going and kind.
The Beatles were definitely blessed to have such a meek and easy-going drummer as Ringo Starr. This is a very rare thing to have a drummer of such a character in a band.
Ringo certainly had an accommodating personality but, as a Beatle, his drumming was anything but meek! 🥁
@@Daberney It's quite the opposite: as a Beatle, he was the perfect drummer. Drumming in a more assertive way would have spoiled any of the Beatles' songs.
Not to mention the man is a human metronome. Sure he wasn't fancy, but he can keep a perfect shuffle beat for a heck of a long time. Most drummers can't do it for 30 seconds.
