If you do this regular could you possibly do another video and please get someone to hold the camera for you and a torch or do it in a brightly lot place and also show every step, when i saw the title i was like "yes" I've finally found a video showing how to do the brushes but none of the video contained how to swap brushes, all we saw was them in the motor and on the bench, i need to see how they unclip, how you put them back in while the spring is fighting you and putting the plastic cap back on, thanks if you include those in a future video, oh well, back on the hunt for a video that shows the whole process
I cannot do another video as I am. only changing the brushes on my own scooter. to get them out you. use a straight bladed screwdriver on undo the blacks cap and it unscrews. And to put them back you put the brush. in and there is a small slot where the metal pieces on the side of the head. slot into just press. them in and then put the cap back on. You will not get that much pressure to stop you put in the cap on if you have the brush in the right slot. It only fits in 1 way. Hope this helps. Don't forget there is four brushes on that scooter.
@@videoallsortsthank you, for that extra info, there's actually 8 on mine as I have the pride ranger but the brushes look exactly the same, just a little larger, 7x11x20 which are hard to get unless you buy originals at nearly £13 each, ouch, lol
@@dooronron69 The process of changing brushes in mobility scooters is pretty much the same. All scooters are basically the same way. just sometimes they have to or 4 brushes. Just need to make sure. I have had it where I've put mine in for someone else to do it and they've only changed two brushes. because they need to remove the motor to change one so they just change the two. instead of 4. Some brush kits come with the replacement lid. I think I paid about £30 for a set of 4
Not sure of the model of the motor. It is just the motor that came in the scooter. I am not a mobility scooter engineer. Just. Joe public trying to save some money, doing a bit of DIY.
The model of the motor doesn't come into it. I've just put in the model of the scooter and ordered the brushes. Then I'm just showing how I fitted them into.

Wow I wasn't aware that I'd owned it that long. If you are looking for a all terrain type large 8 mile an hour scooter I would highly recommend this one it is still going strong still on the same set of batteries as when I bought it second hand from a mobility shop It was a ex-mobility scheme scooter. It's now coming up for nearly 7000 miles I have done Recently just changed tyres and wheels as they were cheaper to buy complete this still has lots of miles left in it I'm very happy with my purchase

I already own a Pride Apex Rapid 4mph scooter, which has so far been great, but I'm now wanting an all terrain one and thought that I'd stick with the Pride brand as I've no complaints about them.

@video all sorts thanks for the link. Yes, I've seen the Pride Ranger and also looked online about the TGA S4 & the TGA Supersport and even the Tramper & Horizon. I was toying with getting the Ranger, but it's larger than the Colt Executive. I could do with hiring out the Ranger for a week to try it out. I've watched videos showing the disability ramblers using the Tramper, S4 and the Supersport scooters.......all really great for real off road rough terrain. If I was able to transport the scooter to various parts of the country (I no longer drive due to health reasons) then I'd consider getting a Tramper as that does look to be a beast of a machine.
Basic. I think Adam called it a stubby🤭🤭🤭 Trying to use mechanical terms. But a stubby to a MAN is a stubby holder ..he ONLY a pup thou.. what he called a stubby was a fat flat headed screwdriver 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

It's a pride DELTA tilla probably a 900 watt motor

Hi can you tell me if the left drive shaft can be removed without opening the diff casing or do i need to open the diff to to get the drive shaft out?

Was it not working beforehand? What made you change the brushes?
Some of the time it was losing contact. So it was a bit juddery. I normally change them every couple of years.

Not sure what the wattage of the motor is, but it is an 8 miles an hour all terrain scooter.
