We were all living the dream... It was all perfect... I can't possibly remember the countless nights I've spent playing WoW... but it was all worth it, and If I had the opportunity to go back in time, I wouldn't change anything! Thanks to this game I can now speak english fluently and communicate much, much easier! Thank you for these precious times, dear WoW, dear WoW community, dear Blizzard... God, I miss these times, my soul breaks into many pieces while listening to this... Wowmusicable, thank you.
The world itself seemed different then - less obviously messed up. I remember feeling like 'who knows what the future will be but it could be awesome'. These days I think... not that.
If you get the chance -- and please believe me, you should do anything you can to make this happen even if it's difficult -- travel to Norway. First, this song will haunt your days if you get out in the countryside and wander through the highland valleys and over mountain plateaus. But on a completely other note, when you're in modern Oslo and down by the water and the city hall, you will hear the city bell tower ring out with the same first three notes every hour. I can't describe it well enough, but for someone with this song deep in their heart, even those three notes will get you over and over. I had to excuse myself from conversation a few times there and just take a few moments alone. Even better when I was wandering around sculpture gardens and city parks, hearing those notes ring out, feeling like magic was not lost from the world after all.
for a bit it reminded me of Torchlight 2.. or rather, TL2 reminded me of this. Then, I 'll looked it up as to why it was so similar. Sure enough, Matt Uelmen did a number of tracks there as well.
This composer is genius. For me, something similar was still here - ua-cam.com/video/DHxJi3To3i8/v-deo.html Thinking long why such melodies make we all cry, I realized - they symbolize a world that is impossible to get into.
Throughout WoW, i had never paused playing, just so as to listen to the music. In Nagrand, it was the one and only time i did that. I was so amazed by the music, i just had to pause playing and sit still, listening to the music in awe...
I did that in Blade's Edge Mountains just now also in Nagrand I stopped because I got chills from the music, starting at 1:30 I will never forget it. 2:10 and the ending. almost brought a tear in my listening to it now
+VideoMadnezz I kind of hated Cata at the time, but Blizz did SO MUCH work when they redid the 1-60 zones. Welcome to the Machine and The Day that Deathwing Came are two of the most fun quest chains ever, and the Naga Battle Maiden chain in Vashj'ir is ridiculously good. every expac has its ups and downs. I love them all. all that being said,
I LOOOOOVED Nagrand. I remember the first time getting there and just loved the atmosphere, quests, colors, vivid scenery, and the stark contrast of normality mixed with abstract reality.
i remember sitting on the piece of flying ground above throne of the elements with my mage. This game was soo good when you leveled your 1st character, and knew nothing about the game... thank you blizzard for making my childhood awesome
I can remember hanging out here with my druid just for the vibes. The music takes me back. Blizzard created something truly unique and inspired here. WoW was a more than just a game; it was a work of art.
I feel this level was nice as it moved away from the shocking environments we had to go through before reaching the zone, a beautiful place amongst the chaos that is Outland
The music of Vanilla, TBC, and WotLK is so phantastic but they messed it up with Cataclysm. I got hooked to the game through its music, I stayed for its music, and I came back half a dozen times for its music. I have a USB stick with all my music on it for the MP3 player in my car, and I listen to the vast world of WoW music probably more than all the other music combined. I love nature, I love driving, and with WoW music even the real world becomes magical.
"It looks too ordinary" - and that's the beauty of it. It's what the Outlands looked like before they got shattered and torn off. The Hellfire Peninsula was giving me a headache the way it looked, so Nagrand was a paradise.
Standing there for the first time, looking up, looking around, thinking to myself ''Woww, this is beautiful.. And I can't believe something hasn't ripped my head of yet :')''
In the first minute, this borrows heavily from "O Zittre Nicht" by Mozart, from "The Magic Flute." It is a Queen of the Night aria, but the less famous one from the first act.
La tonada a partir del minuto 4:08 es para mí de las más hermosas y tristes y resume perfectamente Outland. Sé escucha triste, rota y descorazonada, como los habitantes originales de ese sueño roto en pedazo flotando en ese universo infinito.
***** I feel you on the playing. I wont go as hard, got college and a job to worry about. But if they can bring back the essence of what made wow great Ill definitely play a little.
Right there with you guys. Life's different now than when I used to play for countless hours. Did you see the WoD cinematic released today? Looks pretty damn impressive. I'll play.
Agreed. That was when I first started my Troll Shaman. After months and months of watching my dad play I suddenly get interested. And oh man that feeling when I first started playing... I will never forget it. I-D
AustralianLeprechaun I like the old Nagrand also more, not because the new Nagrand is not good, but it was not a good move to remake something that was a piece of art on itself. Not very original as well I guess, but I liked the music so much there that it was nice to level there with the same feel good music as lvl 97-100.
Magical memories. Being a kid during these memories made them even more magical. Its nice having things that remind me of when I seen the world with so many more opportunities and such optimism.
waking up early on the weekends at 6 am to farm those elementals reachable only by flying mount... and praying that all those gold farmers are still sleeping. Good time.
i don't care what you remember, but you will never forget the 3 hunting quests that you have to repeat 2 more additional times that welcome you after you exited zangarmarsh.
Zangarmarsh was my favorite zone in TBC but this zone is beautiful. So many memories here of leveling, getting enough Halaa tokens to get my Dark War Talbuk, and grinding ogres for Mag'har rep whilst turning in their warbeads to the Consortium for their rep. Even once TBC was over if I found myself in Outland I picked up my once a month gem bag.
Just watched the movie for the first time today and immediately thought of Nagrand when those 3 notes played. Glad I wasn't the only one to have noticed.
hey, a little message to thank you for your playlists !!! I'm finishing my BA degree and your playlists have helped me a lot !!! Especially this one, BC and Nagrand Music... oh god now i want to play, but exams come first :P
Nagrand is the original home to the Orcs, where Thrall's father lived peacefully. They shared a beautiful land with the Draenei, and that's why I love questing there, to go back to "Hey, once this land was inhabited by x and y, and around here, this happened". Lore aside, the music is fantastic. The lands itself are a typical lush green, but with such cool tree designs, the waterfalls on islands afloat in the air, and the breathtaking sunshine (after terrokar's dismal scenery) are beautiful!
Flying endless laps, farming with the mote extractor. Responding to local defense by rushing to enslave those elite demons and surprising gankers. This Music.
Favorite country in the game. Anytime I'd be waiting for a raid to come together or a party to ready up for a dungeon I'd just chill on one of the sky islands and work on some stuff in the meantime.
I was guild leader of 'Guardians of Draenor' during BC and Wrath, 499 members, but two of the members were my best friends. We met on those sky islands during night and talked with /s, after some time I'd fall in deep sleep...
After reading Rise of the Horde leveling up in this zone was the first thing on my mind walking through the Dark Portal. Good to see this part of Outland was spared what had happened to the rest of it.
Halaa patch 2.0-2.3: "......." Patch 2.4: "KILL KILL KILL KILL.." It was also cool to find out that Grom had a long lost son. Shame how that turned out..
I feel like this might be the first time I've ever listened to the music in Nagrand. Never really leveled here and when I came back to farm Knothide Leather to level my skinning I was listening to A7X on repeat.
Sometimes I listen to this music and think of the good times. I've grown out of WoW. My main has been sitting on one of the floating islands in TBC Nagrand for years now. Probably enjoying her retirement while listening to this tune.
Nagrand is one of my favourite places in all of World of Warcraft. I'd go here and listen to the music and wiev the scenery. I'd either ride on my white Quel'dorei Steed through the landscape or fly to a floating island, make a fire and sit there and admire this wonderous place
I'm playing TBC now again on a private server and while it's as majestic as it was back then, something is missing now. The best thing about TBC in my opinion was that we had no idea what to expect with an expansion and Outland blew everyone's mind when they saw it for the first time.
defimtely my favorite in BC. Made of epic proportions the landscape and composing of music. flying in to nagrand while sitting at my pc 2 at the night is relaxation
Someday they need to release a WoW soundtrack with every piece of music ever recorded for all the games. There are tons of great ambient tracks like this one that I've either forgotten about or simply cannot find because every soundtrack released has, by necessity, trimmed what's a 10+ minute track down to like 3-4 minutes.
It was the fog.of war that we miss, everything is unveiled and looted now, while before even while covered in the drums of war, there where treasures in every corner.
Wow! People love Nagrand and its awesome music themes! Glad to see it, because I thought I'm crazy or something. Honestly I would love to live in such place as Nagrand. And yes, these times are in the past, but I hope that Blizzard will invent something else.
One of the few maps which captured the beauty of Outland, not only through the eyes, but the ears. One of the few lands there not shattered totally. Not that most all of them don't have great music.
lol. That waterfall over there holds what must be my most frustrating WoW memory. I had died on that bridge in front of it, and when I went back to my corpse I fell off the bridge before I could resurrect (which doesn't sound very frustrating because it's not the frustrating part). Anyways, there's a pointy rock that juts out of the side of the cliff underneath the waterfall. The rock was very tall and pointed at a steep angle, so I got stuck. I waited for hours for a GM to help.
4:10 Whenever I levelled through Nagrand, something terrible was happening in the game world, like my guild was breaking up, or drama this, drama that. Despite that, here is where I come back to. Nagrand music resonates deep.
We were all living the dream... It was all perfect... I can't possibly remember the countless nights I've spent playing WoW... but it was all worth it, and If I had the opportunity to go back in time, I wouldn't change anything! God, I miss these times, my soul breaks into many pieces while listening to this... Wowmusicable, thank you.
Those were the golden days... No doubt about it.
Same ! 😊 played and discovered every corner of the map
Perfect days. I was 13 when I played in Nagrand
I hope you're still listening to the music :)
The world itself seemed different then - less obviously messed up. I remember feeling like 'who knows what the future will be but it could be awesome'. These days I think... not that.
I started crying at 4:10, not gonna lie. The memories and nostalgia in this song is to much lol!
+Coda57 It's definitely the most memorable tune from Nagrand. It's ingrained deeply within my feelings of nostaliga for this map xD
yup. I'll never forget, that was the first track that played as I crossed into Nagrand from Zangarmarsh (riding about) on the Spawning Glen side.
If you get the chance -- and please believe me, you should do anything you can to make this happen even if it's difficult -- travel to Norway. First, this song will haunt your days if you get out in the countryside and wander through the highland valleys and over mountain plateaus. I love it!!!!
Same feelings
Nagrand. One of the best landscape in all of WoW
***** yeah personally
I agree, even though Nagrand brough back the memories of how stale questing got and how bad I just wanted to reach level 70.
heaa21 dat Nessingwary hunting quests...
***** Nagrand - upgraded mulgore.
***** I mean nagrand looks really like mulgore plains + waterflows/flying islands/strange trees and oshugun.
If you farmed during TBC you will know why these tunes are special.
+Teh goat Well said, my man. Getting the most of my leatherworking :D
+Teh goat This comment is as valid as, "Only 90's kids will remember..."
+Teh goat you totally nailed it on the head the reason i love these tunes so much is probably due to the time spent here.
+Teh goat I didnt farm during TBC, still find one of the most impressive soundtracks of WoW, and there is also Storm Peaks music..
+ajaxtaur Nope, it's merely nostalgia.
(3. Local Defense ) Halaa is under attack!!!
I guess things never change. XD
(3. Local Defense) voldun is under attack
7:58 brings always tears to my eyes
pvlvcp My favourite part, if only it lasted a bit longer :(
+pvlvcp Indeed, man... Indeed T^T
for a bit it reminded me of Torchlight 2.. or rather, TL2 reminded me of this. Then, I 'll looked it up as to why it was so similar. Sure enough, Matt Uelmen did a number of tracks there as well.

Thinking long why such melodies make
we all cry, I realized - they symbolize a world that is impossible to get into.
It just sounds like music after a very tragic war scene. It does bring a lot of sadness when I listen to it.
Throughout WoW, i had never paused playing, just so as to listen to the music. In Nagrand, it was the one and only time i did that. I was so amazed by the music, i just had to pause playing and sit still, listening to the music in awe...
I did that in Blade's Edge Mountains just now
also in Nagrand I stopped because I got chills from the music, starting at 1:30 I will never forget it. 2:10 and the ending. almost brought a tear in my listening to it now
😢
4:10 i cry EPIC AMAZING BEAUTY!
BC is and always will be my favorite expansion no matter what
***** Same here. Cataclysm is a good example of being a bad designed expansion imo.
VideoMadnezz yea I stopped playing after WoTLK, Cata was a joke imo
+VideoMadnezz I kind of hated Cata at the time, but Blizz did SO MUCH work when they redid the 1-60 zones.
Welcome to the Machine and The Day that Deathwing Came are two of the most fun quest chains ever, and the Naga Battle Maiden chain in Vashj'ir is ridiculously good.
every expac has its ups and downs. I love them all.
all that being said,
My Favourites are BC and WOTLK, i miss this good old times :(
I LOOOOOVED Nagrand.
This will forever be my favorite zone in all of WoW. It's just so lush and pretty and I fantasize about living on one of the small floating islands.
Now THIS was an expansion...
Check out endless. Sunwell still to release
Who remembers the Ring of Blood?
:D
ring of gank lol,
LFG anyone!! I remember!
Oh I member!
I always level up my characters in Nagrand, just for music.
I can remember hanging out here with my druid just for the vibes. The music takes me back. Blizzard created something truly unique and inspired here. WoW was a more than just a game; it was a work of art.
Very creatively chosen profile pic :D
+Tvoja Mamina Thank you =)
I feel this level was nice as it moved away from the shocking environments we had to go through before reaching the zone, a beautiful place amongst the chaos that is Outland
This has got to be one of the most beautiful pieces I have ever heard. Thanks for the post.
+Skandalos Thanks for sharing your beautiful story! =)
Where do you go driving?
4:06 is some very inspired orchestration. Probably the best of the expansion.
"It looks too ordinary" - and that's the beauty of it. It's what the Outlands looked like before they got shattered and torn off. The Hellfire Peninsula was giving me a headache the way it looked, so Nagrand was a paradise.
Bro I can not find one simple bad thing to say about outland as a whole. Every zone is perfect, apart from blade's edge mountains.

Beautiful. Burning Crusade was the height of WoW. So many great memories... :*)

+Shuai Zhang (优图比) I can't take it ;-; D:
there was a time i could not imagine a day without listetning to this track
thanks
I like the old Nagrand better!

old nagrand doesnt have wolf/orc gank squads patrolling the roads so its already way better in my books
Stu Pickles fucken right? Lol gank squads. Fuck WOD.
Magical memories. Being a kid during these memories made them even more magical. Its nice having things that remind me of when I seen the world with so many more opportunities and such optimism.
WoW once was magic but it´s gone. So many followed only being just memories.
But this track and zone is everlasting. 3:10 , 8:00 ......shivering
farming elementals for primals
waking up early on the weekends at 6 am to farm those elementals reachable only by flying mount... and praying that all those gold farmers are still sleeping. Good time.
@@SavageDragon999 Oh yes I remember them air elementals nowhere to find
Halaa PvP!! And those floating islands, what a cool zone. Nostalgia feels
Good old TBC will never be the same
I still use my WoW TBC mousepad from 2007 :)
This is missing some ogre dying sounds.
i don't care what you remember, but you will never forget the 3 hunting quests that you have to repeat 2 more additional times that welcome you after you exited zangarmarsh.

This music and wow at that time are special to me. TBC will be in my heart forever.
*Audible sigh of nostalgia*
Ahh, the one zone where animal slaughter greeted you with open arms. Good times, TBC, good times.
Same song as in Batman v Superman Dawn of Justice soundtrack, track New Rules at the 4:15 mark ...whelp! :)
Holy fk, i was not alone noticing that :)
Just watched the movie for the first time today and immediately thought of Nagrand when those 3 notes played. Glad I wasn't the only one to have noticed.

The part that starts at 3:10 and lasts until around 3:40 is one of the greatest pieces of music in wow history
4:05
Thanks Russel Brower, Matt Uelmen and co. You a genius ♥
Flying endless laps, farming with the mote extractor. Responding to local defense by rushing to enslave those elite demons and surprising gankers. This Music.
The magic flute!
So... this is home, now?
Always was.
This has been home for me since I was 14 years old.
Nagrand looks like a healthy Durotar to me.
Pliskin It's approximatively what it is.
Except Durotar was never damaged by anything, not counting The Shattering. It was always a desolate wasteland. It's perfectly healthy.
8:00 played when I stepped into Nagrand for the first time, from Terokkar Forest during release days January 2007. Immediately blown away.
M. Diari It was things like this that really made WoW what it was.
4:09!!!
2:30 reminds me of the New World Symphony, 2nd Movement
5:47 what you're all here for
Ahhh... hours of farming beads to get my talbuk mounts... Good times
something about that Talbuk mount could just run so fast and jump so far. The light blue hoofed talbuk was my mount until I got the vendor mammoth
After reading Rise of the Horde leveling up in this zone was the first thing on my mind walking through the Dark Portal. Good to see this part of Outland was spared what had happened to the rest of it.
So many memories of this zone.
Halaa patch 2.0-2.3: "......."
Patch 2.4: "KILL KILL KILL KILL.."
It was also cool to find out that Grom had a long lost son.
Shame how that turned out..
Nagrand is a calm, beautiful haven in the dark and gloomy Outland.
i went to this place so often just for walking around, enjoyed this place so much
This still hits me in the feels
7:56 best part for me... The whole sequence... Damn feels T_T
i love the land its beautiful
I don’t really play this game anymore but this music is so powerful. So good. They should get best game of all time for the music alone.
I feel like this might be the first time I've ever listened to the music in Nagrand. Never really leveled here and when I came back to farm Knothide Leather to level my skinning I was listening to A7X on repeat.
Nagrand was a whole unique vibe by itself. I can see it becoming a VR experience one day. Zangarmarsh as well.
from 7:59 to end
Damn what an amazing note progression
4:14
clicking your comment made me so happy.
Josh Foret seeing your replay made me happy

The only zone music that comes even close to Grizzly Hills IMO
+Kaisergun listen to wintergrasps theme.
Azuremyst Isle
Nagrand is still the same. It's just everything else in WoW and our lives has changed.
actually, due to warlords of draenor, It kind of is.
I left a long time ago, but thanks for letting me reminiscence!
you looted 1x Knothide leather you looted 1x knothide leather you looted 1x knothide leather
So beautiful.. thank you for posting it.
Oh the tears of joy we shared on the battles once achieved greatly in victory! By Azeroth do i miss the old wow
epic, Nagrand PvP :)

good shot in the back, love the fact you can see oshu gun!
Nagrand was my favorite zone, period. I don't really know why, but I just loved it there.
玩過很多遊戲,但Nagrand是我唯一想住在這裡的地方
This was always Gankville USA for me
Gankfest 2007-Present
7:30-7:39. These were my fav music parts in nag today and back in BC :)
good ol' days
+Simon Bergman hate the new wow expansions, they have destroyed a beutiful game sadly
4:06 and 7:56 the best part
Loved the quest flow in here you could pick up 15 or so quests and go ham killing for ages and watch the xp roll in great group quests too.
I was just about to post that.^^
Really a great part.
Love this place.
Just , beautiful.
OMG. Who remembers farming rep for the Mag'har Clan?! Took aaaaaaages to get exalted. Killed OVER 9000 ogres.
Haha. I remebe doing that.
Yeah. Blizzard wanted your money :)
yeah me too good times
yea , just for that horse mount
What!? 9000?!!!
