Morning Casey! I'm a former wrecker drive and boooooy do I miss it every day. I came up with out job description. "Wrecker driving is doing your job with as little information as possible, and when you do have information, its most likely wrong."
I used to drive one of those trucks. That forklift is 6000lbs hanging off the rear of the trailer, and it takes all the weight off the drive tires. When getting into a spinout situation I would unload the forklift, drive the truck to a flatter spot, then walk back and drive the forklift up to the truck and load it back up. Also kept 4000lbs of weight on the nose of the trailer, usually a couple skids of shingles or cement blocks. Forklift was also handy to move the trailer over away from an obstacle on a tight turn, such as a tree, fire hydrant, or boulder.
No you dont know much more than somewhere in Oregon, middle of nowhere in there, and never to be found other than in accidentally got stuck with your bigrig near he´s house.
The right tools in the tool box.....the well trained driver makes a tough job look easy. Admitting slight error..."if you don't make mistakes....your not working"........ as my Dad used to say! And Captain Dave steps in for the quote of the night! Good on you Dave! Another successful rescue....GOOD ON YOU CASEY!!!
You are very correct on the fact the lift on the back lifts the rear of the truck I drove one for years luckily mine had sliding axles I kept them as far back as possible but in all the years I drove one of those I’ve only gotten my truck stuck one time that I couldn’t use the lift to get it out mostly because I would park on the shoulder of the highway and use my Princeton to truck loads in I’ve carried double stack shingles up to 4 miles from my truck in the woods
Your narrative in that fitst hook up reminds me of my inner dialog to appease my performance anxiety ie: "go back this way so it dont look like i forgot to turn off the freespool" 😂😂❤
Great tow out. What I like best is watching you be very methodical in your in your working. Tools and towing needs out, used, and put back in order before moving on. Good job.

Big rig and Princeton piggyback forklift/trailer owner here. Dude should have been able to lift and side shift that trailer around those snowbank corner. I've had to do that many times in order to get into and out of way worse situations than this. It does take a lot of time but it is absolutely doable. I saw a 6 foot gap at the front of the trailer. He should have had his entire load as far forward as possible to counter the forklift weight.
Great job!! Nothing to severe but he couldn't have made it without some help. Great to have someone to help clear an intersection out to give some more turning room. Thank you Dave!! The Zack Lift is doing a great job. Looks like a wise decision to have made that purchase!!!
