One of my favorite John Candy films. He was such a funny guy. RIP
Me too.
Big facts
This and cool runnings warm my heart ha.
Long live the "Poka King"!
This, and the Great Outdoors 🥰😂🤣
Definitely one of John Candy’s best roles. I saw an interview with his daughter and she said her dad pretty much WAS Uncle Buck. So it was probably one of the easiest characters for him to play.
I mean a lot of John Candy’s characters were a big lovable guy.
During Miles' interrogation of Uncle Buck , John Candy wrote out the script's dialogue, and wore it atop his head when the camera was on Miles. Macaulay Culkin couldn't read the lines quick enough, and was going to be replaced until Candy came up with this workaround
Awww poor kid! Man! I couldn’t imagine this movie without him.
@@SusanaCanales1 And what a cool thing to do to figure out a way to help him out.
RIP to John Candy, a true legend. I've always loved this movie. The jumbo pancakes is an iconic scene.
I just looked it up he died at 43, I’m now 44 that’s so sad
🥞
What’s iconic about fixing a big pancake????? Did you watch the movie in entirety?
@@BrettDel Same here. When Chadwick died I was the same age, and THAT hit really hard. Here I've done nothing for the world and these guys are the ones gone.
@@judethaddeus9856 Especially the Q&A scene with his nephew. That was awesome. Still, a pancake that size is a dream come true for a little kid. And grown ups, too
John candy was genuinely a good person. When filming only the lonely he gave maureen o hara his personal trailer when she discover she had a leak in the roof of hers. Since she was an older lady he felt that she didnt deserve water in her trailer.
Somebody, I think it was Ebert, talked about John always thinking badly of himself. It kills me that someone who everybody loves would feel worthless. He single-handedly has brought so much good into the world.
His wave goodbye at the end gets me every time. 😢
Me too man, me too💙
All these years later and I still shed tears🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️
Macaulay culkin is AMAZING in this. Seeing him get those giant bday pancakes lights up my eyes every time!
To see another side of Mac Culkin, they Have to check out The Good Son with Elijah Wood. Especially now that Halloween is so close
Wow guys. I'm really glad you liked the tapestries. Thank you so much for the kind words. No kidding, you two can make tough days a lot easier and I thank you for that. Enjoy the gifts and I look forward to this October's pics and all your reactions. ✌️
Bless you Larry! So happy you enjoy these guys as much as I do! Look forward to their uploads like you do! Hope your having a good day! 👍❤️
@@lisainthecold4287 Hanging in there as best I can. Thanks for asking about me. That's very kind of you. I hope your doing well.
@Scott Allen Thanks Scott 👍
Great job on that tapestry, Larry!
Larry, you are the man sir!! That's awesome!
Macaulay Culkin, man oh man how he kept a straight face with the legendary comedian John Candy! 😂
I LOVE this movie. Buck is an absolute legend. "Here's a quarter..." rofl.
Friend of mine was in Toronto at the Olive Garden and John Candy came in and made the rounds around the room cracking jokes with everyone there giving them his time. He was a charming and funny guy in real life as well as on screen.
I met John candy when I was in high-school and he was visiting some schools.
He was even more charming and kind than any film could convey.
To see Macauley Culkin in something different, check out ‘The Good Son.’ He’s still a young child, but he’s not playing the funny, amusing kid anymore but a different sort of child. Let’s just say, you wouldn’t want your kids playing with him. He does it so well, it gives you chills.
I only liked him as a kid in that one and Jacobs Ladder. Very worth a watch.
@@delwynklassen3644 Jacob's Ladder is a great movie and rare in that it's genuinely scary. He did a great job in it.
I loved the good son like damn Macaulay culkin was a master actor as a child . also I think saved with Macaulay culkin was good as an adult
I liked him as Gucci's model this past year. He's definitely back baby
The role he has in this movie is what got him the Home Alone movies as Kevin
Buck KNEW that as soon as Bug got what he wanted from Tia (sex) he was going to toss her aside and move onto some other angry teen age girl. And that is exactly what happened.
What's great about Buck's character is that it's practically a mirror image of Candy in real life, minus the dead beat parts.
One of mine and my mother's favorite movies! So many quotable lines in this movie. We lost John Candy way too soon!
"Here's a quarter, why don't you go downtown and hire a rat to gnaw that thing off your face?"
Greatest line in cinema history.
FUN FACT: The actress who plays Marcie is the voice of Andy's mom in the Toy Story movies! :)
Everyone knows Aunt Jackie, don't they?
And Sheldon’s Mom from the Big Bang Theory…
Reminds me of my childhood with these great 80s movies! This and The Great Outdoors were the best! John Candy was the goat, RIP Uncle Buck!
Absolutely loved this sweet family comedy!
Ayo Tim!! Funny seeing you here 😉
When I first saw this, I did not expect Buck to be responsible with the kids. From the moment he arrived he turned into the best uncle / father figure / housesitter / friend that everyone should have in their life. Fun fact - they originally wanted Danny DeVito for Uncle Buck. But boy did John Candy make this role his own.
Uncle Buck is a fun character, who wouldn't want an uncle Buck ha ha.
"The Good Son" - great thriller with Culkin and Elijah Wood. One of Culkin's best acting and the hardest role for a child. Consider reacting!
Don’t worry about Culkin. He’s doing great these days, shows up a lot on the Red Letter Media youtube channel as a guest, he’s HILARIOUS, and he just recently had his first child 💖
Things really REALLY sucked, but they got better for him.
Very cool...I've aged alongside Culkin and I am happy he has overcome his demons and found some peace. I was just listening to RLM on Culkin's podcast in which Culkin gave Mike a spirit box lol.
Macaulay Culkin was such a great actor at this young. 👏
Buck is often a nickname of William. Bug is a synonym for crazy. When someone is Bugs or Bugsy that usually means their crazy. Bugs Bunny = crazy wabbit.
one of my most fav john candy films ever and i would love to have an uncle like that in my life no matter his personal faults
John Candy RIP !! Respect!! Great reaction guys.
One of my favorite John Candy movies 😂
John Candy is so wholesome and fun
One of my all time favorite movies!!! I would recommend "The Good Son" if you haven't seen that!
The actor who played Alfalfa in the 90s Little Rascals movie was named Bug Hall.
This is one of my all-time favourite films, ever since I was a little kid. Hilarious and heart-warming. The birthday pancakes: Mr Sandman: drilling the door open at the party and kidnapping the guy to teach him a lesson: the bowling: telling the little kid he’ll deal with the principal first: bonding with Tia: the one-sided argument on the phone: the bowling-ball when he’s trying to pack… Absolutely adore this film, was giggling along with you!
Uncle Buck is one of my favorite movies ..... That pancake was a Masterpiece! And an added scene with a clown getting his clock cleaned was brilliant . Thank you both so much for your reactions and comments for Uncle Buck . As always I look forward to many more here .
Oh yeah! Great movie!
😅 Uncle Buck is one of the gems of comedy!
Love this movie. Macauley Culkin was discovered in this movie and apparently Home Alone was quickly put together.
Trust me your audience always loves when Curtis flexes on camera.
Thanks for entertaining us! You never know who you are helping. Love hearing Larry's story. My husband passed away and you guys have made me laugh again. Thanks. Great reaction! 🙂
I hate to hear the first part, but hopefully you keep finding things to brighten your days.
"Planes Trains and Automobiles" would be a great John Candy movie to do next. It's maybe his best
We've already done it 😁
Buck Melanoma, Moley Russell's Wart!
BTW you may not have recognized her, but you just saw the actress that that played Tia in Top Gun Maverick playing Iceman's wife.
Hang tough, Larry! You're speaking for more people than you might realize!
This movie is AWESOME! RIP John Candy. 🙏
To many people on this planet to be encouraging every single person to have kids. Not having kids isn't pathetic, it will help save the planet.
Macaulay Culkins real start. FYI Culkin studied Ballet as a kid. Like wow
This is one of my all time favorites. John Candy was the man.
My dad and I used to love watching this movie. John Candy was the kind of guy that you would've wanted as a dad
The 80s movies are just on a different level. Thanks for reacting.
As someone who hates clowns I love the birthday scene.
That intro was so wholesome 🥺🕷🕸
Miles had his entire side story cut out. Buck would send him to school everyday with a weird lunch and Miles would trade with kids who thought he had cool items, like a jar of pickles, sardine sandwich or block of cheese. At the party the other kids were supposed to think Buck beat up the clown because clowns are for babies, they told the other kids about it, by the end Miles was supposed to be the coolest kid in school. All of it was left on the cutting room floor.
The scene of Miles thinking he saw robbers through the mailslot was the inspiration for Home Alone. True story.
One of the BEST MOVIES EVER! After becoming an UNCLE. I Can FEEL THIS IN MY BONES!
I never want to have to help TIA down the road.
Macauley Culkin's scenes in this were the inspiration for Home Alone.
Uncle buck.!!!!! John candy hands down my favorite actor
I like him in the great outdoors movie
Also cobra kai season 5 is my flavor it been my flavor show
This and plains trains and automobiles are my favorite john candy movies
Yessir!! One of the all time best movies of my childhood!
The eldest daughter Tia also played as Iceman’s wife in Top Gun Maverick
She was also in Mr. Holland’s Opus and played the wife in the show yes, dear
Maculey Culkin sounds like he is doing well these. I know there were rumors that surfaced that he was doing drugs after some photos came out of him looking guant and skinny. But from what I know he has been on the up and up for awhile now. He genuinely seems like a cool person and relatively normal. Like, he sounds kind of like a nerdy hipster but it's still endearing.
I would have loved to have an uncle like him! So much fun, so down to earth and so funny🤣🤣🤣🤣
YAY! The ever missed and adorable John Candy! My favourite movie of his, too. I'm so glad that you are watching this timeless classic and it remains one of our favourite family movies. I hope I can be a defending responsible parent like Buck. ^_^ Thanks John!
It's weird how Candy and Culkin were in each other's movies, but I don't remember it until I watch one of them again because they are not the protagonist. 😆
Another solid 80s-90s film. They don't keep it so simple, yet so funny anymore.
I love the look Buck gives Bug after coming through the door with the power drill. As a dad with a daughter, damn right I keep a power tool in my car for just such a opportunity.
John Candy was an amazing comedic actor weather he was in a supporting role or as the lead like this movie....
He was brilliant in Brewsters Millions and Cool Runnings.
This movie always hit a lil too close to home for me and it's still a favorite of mine.
Y’all need to watch houseguest next it has the comedian sinbad and Phil Hartman in it Rest In Peace to Phil Hartman
Mac Culkin is doing fine and living comfortably with all the money he made as a child. One of the few former child actors that grew up to be financially set for life.
Yeah, he seems to be doing very well now; glad he bounced back!
One of my fav john candy movies.
One of my all time favorite films, rest in peace John Candy, died while filming Wagons East.
This is the kind of uncle you'd hate at first but later on, he turns out to be a cool guy you get to hang out with.
How can anyone hate Uncle Buck? I love him. ^_^
RIP John Candy one of the funniest men ever to light up the big screen
Your faces listening to Tia be soooooo disrespectful is hilarious and real. I'm loving it!

Uncle Buck is one of my kids favorite movies... Man when I grew up I had all these great movies... My kids we're born in the wrong decade apparently. They love all my childhood movies and they really can't stand alot of the new ones.
Agree, the '80s and '90s were Hollywood's second Golden Era, too many great movies to list. These days, not so much
That „making a rough Day easier“ ... signed 👍👊👊👊
If you guys haven't seen The Great Outdoors that's another great John Candy movie.
Larry's right, you do help cheer people up. Larry, I'm sorry for your losses, and I'm sending you positive thoughts. :)
Great Reaction guys,Love this movie and John Candy, another movie parodie you may like with him is Canadian Bacon
I think macaulay culkin now days is doing great lol he’s a new dad and I’m sure he’s loving it.
He is one of a few actors that I liked all of his movies. And I can't say which one is my favorite. Because if you ask me today I'll say Uncle Buck. But if you ask me in a couple more days I'll say the great outdoors. Then if you ask me in a few more days it'll be planes trains and automobiles and then it'll be a moment where I'll have like Mel Brooks on the brain and I'll say Spaceballs. He's done so many movies and been in so many shows he was just a wonderful person and like the world is a sadder place without him.
John Candy's performances on SCTV are legendary, made him a movie star.
One unique soul in the midst of billions. God, how I miss his humor.
Out of work bum Uncle was a great Uncle and loved his family and was there for them without question even though they abandon him. Legendary
My mother reminds me of the heart John Candy displays in this movie as this character my mother was like John Candy and Meryl Streep had a kid it was pretty f****** nice to be raised by somebody that merciful but also someone who didn't let you get away with anything all she had to do was look at you and you knew you were trying hard enough
So very Happy that I got Like#420 on this one! 👍🇨🇦 Smoke one for John Candy!!
If I haven’t already begged, please consider doing Warm Bodies in October. It’s actually a zombie romcom that’s only somewhat scary. But it freaking awesome!
Very awesome
Their immediate disgust for Bug was great!
I loved John Candy....he was so Funny, Sweet, Adorable, and amazingly Talented.
my favorite movies are The Great outdoors,Who's Harry Crumb, Uncle Buck.,Only the Lonely....Cool Runnings
Buck goes into protective uncle mode right away.
That's an awesome thing an uncle would do for his nephew's birthday
God I miss John Candy, RIP, this is one of my very favorite John Candy movies.
It takes a certain kind of special actor to play roles like these and still be utterly loveable, and John Candy was one of the best! He could do the loveable douchebag perfectly!
If you guys like Macaulay you should check out The Good Son. Probably his best work and a good drama film.
As usual, Macaulay slayed this movie too ♥️😆
This movie is so good love the video OctoKrool stay motivated dream big 1 mill on the way
I love this movie too. It is so sad he died. But my favorite movie with him is Planes Traines and Automobiles.
Love watching you too.
Greetings and hugs from Germany, Heike ❤️
Teenage daughters are oh so joyous. This is accurate even today.
You guys need to watch "The Good Son" you'll never see Macaulay Culkin the same again
This movie is such a classic. My younger brother was a lot like John Candy and he also passed away at a very young age. Every time I see John Candy it makes me think of my younger brother. They were definitely cut from the same cloth
I believe this is Macaulay Culkin’s first movie before, home alone from John Hughes.
