Main goal of these video concept ideas:
My main goal for these kind of videos is to be as creative as possible!
Let me explain:
Firstly, my very first channel Mixeli (But also my latest one Volipok) post tons of Gameplays from Every Generation (Which once again was played and recorded by myself in it's entirety. It took me many years of works.)
My video have Educational Value and let me explain why: It does provide help to the user who watch the video. One of the few example for that is which musics is played from my gameplays. It could easily be found on video cards (The exclamation mark "!" you see on the video above at the right) and vice versa. (This mean that on this video for example, you could also find my actual battle gameplays of where this music is played)
Secondly, My video are transformative enough, I took the time to play the game and recording the musics. I took the time to improve it's original quality using Vegas Pro. Thanks to a program called "Track EQ" that you can find on Vegas Pro.
This program allow the user to enhance it's original quality and further improving it. This need concentration as each version has different audio quality.
Thirdly and as you have noticed: On each Generation, I use different background that I bought on a website called Shutterstock. (Which I have bought at least 336 pictures background, just so I can become as creative as possible and also work on a lot of different style using those background)
This kind of concept was created by myself since 2011. Today it has become one of the main concept of my channel that I personally created.
Lastly is to bring the community together. I have noticed that so many people are commenting and giving their opinions on the video, sharing their experience about characters from the game, confirming theory, saying funny stuff and I find this extremely amazing and interesting! I don't want their comment to be unnoticed so I have plan for the future of my content about commenting and sharing their experience on videos that I will produce one day!

What makes this music even more epic is the fact that you’re battling yourself, assuming you played R/B/Y.
And Red's pokemon's levels reflect the possibility that he had been grinding atop Mt. Silver non-stop for 3 whole years and he simply maxed out at this point.

By far. I was like 8-9 years old and this moment gave me goosebumps. I had played Red before Silver so I knew what was about to go down.
I can remember vividly in my mind as a kid just randomly exploring Mt. Silver for the first time. The exact moment I somehow stumbled upon Red. Obviously I had no idea what the sprite was but as soon as I walked up and pressed A and he turned around I remember it so clearly. The "...." then this theme just comes on and slaps.
I remember trying to explain to my friend who would always come over and we'd play Pokemon Silver together what I found.
"I swear it is fighting the you from the first games!" and just un-fathomable the whole concept was. He didn't believe me at first of course.
Man this has to be one of the best moments in videogame history.

Facts
Every gamers prophecie: I've done it all... there is nocthing left, fought every battle, climbed the highest mountains, dived the deepest seas and crawled through the thickest and unpassable forests... there is NOTHING left... I fell so empty now... or in other words: "... ..." like the two eyes closing when you became the content of your adventure.
Red was never about being the strongest on a competitive level, he was about getting as strong as he could using the pokemon he loved and wanted. Could you imagine, imagine the horror, of a competitively viable and balanced team of red's? One that expertly utilizes the hail? I am thankful for his choice in restraint, for he has never gone truly all out in a battle yet
i mean, he uses Snorlax which is basically god-tier in the GSC metagame so yea.

Fun fact: In Gold, Silver, and Crystal, after beating the Pokemon League, this theme also plays when you battle your rival at the Indigo Plateau on Mondays and Wednesdays. Why HGSS made the stupid decision to just replace it with the standard rival battle theme, I don't know, but hey. At least in some timeline, your rival is seen as on Lance and Red's equal once he redeems himself.

Funny, thing, back in Pokemon Yellow I ran a team that was almost identical to Red's team (Minus Espeon of course, I had a Dragonite). So really did feel like I was fighting a younger version of myself.
Gaile Oxstain Pisses me off to no end that Red has an Espeon. If only he had a gen 1 pokemon we could actually be able to use his same team at 100% in Yellow

I mean, Espeon is psychic type, and psychic types were broken in Gen 1, so it makes sense Red would capitalize on that by evolving his Eevee into a psychic type

Still gives me goosebumps. I remember freezing up as a kid when I noticed who I was facing, paired with this epic and climactic soundtrack.
Legitimately one of the BEST boss fights in ALL of gaming. No bullshit, no monologues, no dumb reactions from bystanders, just two pokemon grandmasters meeting at the summit of an harsh icy mountain at the ends of their respective journies battling for supremacy. With so many games where one defeats gods, demons, and other supposedly "powerful" beings, what's better to challenge the player with than a reflection of their own past triumphs and victories? When one stands above the gods, only another of equal strength is truly a respectable challenger.

This theme... this theme! I was 10, middle of summer, my english was so bad it took me a year to understnd what to do to go to Kanto (Not joking). I remember the very first time I saw Lance, I was afraid of him, he was the champion after all. My team wasn't the best, I learned a lot about moves et strategy since, I was packed with max potions and revives, my team of my best Pokémon from Jotho and my Typhlosion. Thunder Punch on his dragons! From then, he was my grinding bitch when I wanted to level up my team. But Red... I owe my victory to luck and my lv100 starter (I think I had Lugia too).
But... I had to pass my game to a 'friend' and never see it again... so when HG and SS were announced, I cried of joy.
I spoke fluent English and it took me AGES to figure out the whole Power Plant/Machine Part/Radio Card for Snorlax thing. The battles themselves were horribly easy though. I was glad that they made Kanto more difficult in the remakes.

I kinda like the idea that both Red and Gold have been through so many battles by this point that they don't even need to say anything. They made eye contact with a trainer, so it's straight to battle mode.
I like that idea more than Red being mute just because he was a PC once.
Red smiling is both happy and sad, he's happy he's finally found someone worth fighting but it's sad because this's the last time he seems to enjoy a pokemon battle

This battle was the culmination of all the innovation and craftsmanship Gamefreak wrought in the late 90s.
Really contemplate what they did here; this single encounter was a well-hidden* secret boss added to punctuate the bold decision to add _the entire previous game's region_ to their sequel in which you do battle against the silent, self-insert protagonist of that same previous game, which assuming you played it, is implying you're fighting yourself. Imo this is the #1 most creative and clever optional boss concept ever made.
*Red isn't super hard to find, however in the 90s there was no internet (or at least it was not easily accessible), so it's very likely you had no idea the previous region was included so you weren't looking for him. This made the moment you discovered it really special and something that is almost impossible to replicate now (and let's face it, an additional region in any modern game would be sold to us as DLC).
Imagine if you played Gen 1 before Gen 2, the game was able to take what you named your player in that game, and that's what shows up when you start the battle it would make the message of "Fighting yourself" hit even harder

I absolutely love how imposing this theme is. It’s climactic, it feels VERY final, and it feels like a fight you have no chance of winning in the slightest. You’re going up against someone far greater than you, but with enough effort you’re able to go toe to toe. Chef’s Kiss

@@soap8049 Red is the only one who doesn't speak because it was the first one. And, in the first generation, there was no female protagonist, and since Gen 2, you have a lot of interactions with protagonist that you don't choose. For exemple, in pokemon gold, silver and crystal, if you choose gold, Kris would talk to you. And if you choose Kris, gold would talk to you.
The better example is the Gen 3 games, where the other protagonist is your rival.

The first time i fought him and heard this theme I got chills. I had no clue I’d fight him right then. He just said “...” and the battle started. I felt like I was in a “this is it. Now or never” moment
I just realized that part of what had me so hyped hearing this music while playing Crystal (which was after beating Yellow) is that this song's opening is a remix of the indigo plateau Pokémon league theme. The song that introduced me to my greatest challenge in that game came back to tell me that crap was getting REAL.

I agree too. The remake version is good, but this one feels alot more serious and climactic in it’s tone.
It's slightly slower and lower in tune, makes things more serious and anxious, very befitting for the last and hardest battle of the game.

@@gabe382 Red is superior although Gold/Kris got double the amount of badges, shut down what Red left of Team Rocket, his/her rival wasn't a jerk, he was a criminal, he/she caught 5 legendaries, Red got 4, they both beat the Elite Four and champion but it was different due to the 3 year difference. Also, Lance being champion suggests that he beat Red some time after Yellow.
Personally, I always felt this version of Red/Lance's battle theme always fit the most, mainly because of the sound font it uses.
One thing about G/S/C is that it uses the same 'instruments' as R/B/G/Y, mainly due to both of them being on the Gameboy. Due to this, a lot of the songs in G/S/C sound very similar to R/B/G/Y songs. Normally this doesn't mean much, but with this song...
The intro to the song (0:10 if you wanna REALLY hear it) is the same intro that R/B/G/Y has when you boot up the game. No matter the rendition of Red's theme, this is always there, but due to the sound font of G/S/C, this version of Red's theme is the only version that has that intro sound EXACTLY like the intro jingle from R/B/G/Y. This (to me, at least) always made this version of the song always sound the MOST like you're battling the previous protagonist, due to it basically having the intro jingle with no changes.

The Gameboy never used soundfonts. Its audio was synthesized using a sound chip. Soundfonts are a brand of sample formats.
@@E0O2X314FT This is true, but I just use the word soundfont simply because it makes it easier to compare it to the other Johto champion themes, since the DS games (as far as I'm aware) do use soundfonts.

This is the hardest of Pokémon 8-Bit.
The beginning gives me goosebumps. It's so perfect.
The perpetuating "there must be more to this" and a game character (not a deity or immortal) who understood that.

There's something about the old rendition of this theme that the newer, cleaner versions just do not capture.
Yeah, this epic theme. Lance is stupidly easy, but seeing the original protagonist himself to battle against was a total shock the first time, especially after playing Gen 1, like you turned against yourself.
Red still remains the most fearsome boss in Pokémon, along with Cynthia.
Lance is harder than Red though.

This epic Battle Theme song is also Silver's Final Battle in Indigo Plateau in Original Pokemon Gold/Silver/Crystal however in HG/SS it is change back to his original Battle Theme.

You know what would make this mint. The low hp beep to let you know you were really going all out. Crystal was my first pkm game ever and it was amazing.
I'll tell ya absolute chills as a kid hearing this after climbing the mountain oak tells you about, you got your team with you, you feel ready for anything and depending on your determination you may be humbled or doing some humbling. I love this game series man

9 year old me endured unforgettable pain to this banger.
Back in the day when I played GSC for the first time I had played pokemon yellow. A while later GSC comes out and I get a gameboy advance to play it.
So I got through GSC and then discovered 'oh my god! Kanto! Awesome!" and had a blast. Then mt silver which took a while to get too after beating the kanto gyms. I climb MT silver to the top and up there I see someone. There's three dots. 'PKMN trainer Red wants to battle.' Hah, red, like the version of the game.
'PKMN trainer red sent out Pikachu'
My mind was blown, as I had started with pokemon yellow. And well, I was playing against me. This moment, at age 12 or so gave me nostalgia to something I had done barely two years ago. Its one of my favorite gaming memories of all time.
And then I beat his ass so hard.
I wish one day: a second GSC remake!

+Urban Mantis In Japan, they started with the Red and Green versions, then Blue was basically the later version that wasn't as glitchy. That version was used to create the western Red and Blue versions.
My first Pokemon game was Heartgold. I loved that game. I still do. It's one of my favorite games EVER. I have never in my life played gen 2, but I STILL think this version is MILES better than the remix.
Back then, I was already ecstatic for having the whole second half of the game. When I saw Red, I KNEW. I squealed and dove in with lv65's not expecting to get thumped that bad. It's a core memory for me of the best postgame of any game, ever.
This music brought tears to my eyes. The memories...
Red might be the most badass a Pokémon character will ever be.

God this music takes me back. There I am. 6 years old and Pokémon is my world. I've gotten all 16 badges, beaten the champion and I feel like the strongest trainer in the world. I go explore Mt. Silver thinking I've done everything there is to do and there he is. A lone trainer. I talk to him only to get ominous silence. When the battle theme starts and I realize that this is no ordinary battle but I'm facing who I once was in red. The music really set a tone that this was it. This was my final challenge before truly beating the game. Even with how simple this music is it still takes me back to when the only worry in the world I had was beating red
This fight was absolutely mind blowing when I experienced it for the first time as an 8 year old. It took me like a year of playing to reach it and I had no idea what to expect. Got chills down my spine and pretty sure I screamed like a fan girl when I realized it was Ash (Red) and I was fighting his level 81 Pikachu! I loved the TV series, too, so this was just about the most perfect conclusion possible.
I remember mine had a glitch. When I faced Red this theme wasn't playing. I remember it was just silence. Which made the situation more tense.
No wonder blue wanted to throw hands so often he got to listen to this every time

Don't even try to compare Lance to Red, Red is on a whole other level, no wonder he is called Pokemon Master

This theme gives me such DETERMINATION and CONFIDENCE to push forward and become the very best like no one ever was, as for to catch them is my real test, and to train them is my cause.
