Great cast as always, Lowko. A minor English tip: The phrase "not giving someone the time of day" doesn't refer to not giving someone the time to do something. It means that you have such disregard for someone that you couldn't be bothered to respond if they ask you what time it is.

That's cool, We have have something similar in the Philippines too, Loko or Loko-loko which means the same thing (crazy)
in russian it means "deftly"
Could be wrong, but I had just assumed that was why he chose his name (although not Portuguese specifically, Loco in some form means crazy in many languages)

Here in Brasil I would say Scarlett seems to be a bit more "macaca velha" than Kelazhur. Translated literally would be "old monkey". 😂 which would mean some mix between "experienced/malicious". GG by both 👏🏻

The barracks cheese then flying them back home seems a massive way to stab yourself in the foot. 3 unit producing structures are now rendered wasted resources because they are not producing causing a massive stall back home

Serious question pro zergs have 10 hands- why are they not denying double upgrades on cooldown 75 energy with overseers every game? like they are fairly cheap having 2 just dedicated to going in repeatedly and denying ups seems like you should do that every game?
I know right? Seems like a crazy cost effective way to put them behind on upgrades.
g1 what an amazingly beautifull terran built :D this is how i envisioned terrans more ^^ then marine tank medivac help through midgame defence and then thor, bc, ghost and raven late game ^^
but prefer terran actually doing something other than just mass t1 units untill p or z buckles under then cry if it doesnt work untill the devs change the balance :P not bias at all, just so freaking tired off ghost, cyclones, mines, just stupid units that even the dev got no clue what to do with or why they are there, they also created crappy matches honestly, like Z doing nothing but 100 banelings and 20 hydras again and again and again bc its properly the only thing z can do once ghost gets a base amount xD
it is also very much a "dont be greedy, why not 600 minerals to turrets, they will always be good and much better than 6 extra hellions. static defence, proplayers hate it bc it sucks with low unit counts as cant move, but pro forget to add them once their apm processor is unable to keep up, which is when you only add statics and prepared next cycle off reinforcement

Just started watching, as a Zerg player... I really want to see how Scarlett reacts... I'm at a loss at what to do vs mech in the hands of a decent player. Tried so many mixtures of units and always feel like it requires way to much effort on my part to beat it, and I usually just leave the game because I feel like the Terran has it much easier.
Still much easier than for bio Terran to deal with ling bane
Just use Banelings. Mech sucks vs ling-type units without Hellbats, who aren't very good vs Banelings since they die very quickly to them (Hellbats are light units after all). Wipe out the Hellbats and zerglings can just a-move chew through any mech composition without said Hellbats. Another thing to note is that most mech builds are passive and slow to start, so that tends to give you tons of free time to macro, build up, expand, or even slow it down further with some light ling harassment forcing out defensive bio units.
Creep spread in particular can give you the vision you need to do a pincer attack if the mech player only has the Hellbats at the front: some lings coming from behind can easily wipe out all of the non-Hellbats.
Define decent, what MMR? Anything below mid GM in addition to your basic Ling/roach/ravager with melee & missile upgrades swarm hosts are great, unless its race car mech (cyclone, hellion). In that case Fungal can help a lot.
@@hivetech4903 I'd say just play like Dark, ez. Roaches first, rush hive, get mass winfestor GG-lord combo and there's basically nothing to do for the Terran... When you see ByuN lose 90+ ghosts vs some 30 infestors lost you get the picture what is truly the broken unit/race

I just started watching, but based upon the title, I'm betting the Zerg win because he always titles the video as what the Non Zerg player is doing and then the Zerg win. Almost every time.

For whatever reason, Scarlett games just don't look as polished to me. I know they're pro and they can destroy people, but the only time I see Scarlett win is against people I'm not familiar with, like Kelazhur. Who is also a pro and obviously a much better player than me.... But I dunno, when you get used to watching people like Serral and Dark and Clem and so on, going to Scarlett and Kelazhur feels like you're dropping by an actual league.
It's a shame that the higher ranked Zerg cannot afford burrow, because man oh man has it saved my workers lives many times in lower league. At bare minimum it forces terran to also waste a scan. And it great for saving queens as well.
Maybe its just time to make burrow a mineral only upgrade.
It's definitely techie though, thus gassy. Zerg is fine don't worry about them zerglies.

You were pretty critical of Scarlett this round, Lowko! Calling her sloppy twice, and yet, she still wraps this one up with some really quality play. Maybe you've been watching too much Dark and Serral? Heck, even Serral's been off of his usual in games I've seen of him lately. It's nice to be reminded from time to time these players are human and can still make mistakes from time to time =D
I know it's not fair to put it on you, Lowko, since you're not the one doing it and shouldn't have to deal with it, but I will respectfully suggest that you should consider taking a firmer stance on people slandering Scarlett. Every game you cast featuring her, there's always a few people in the comments being bigoted towards her and no one likes it.

That third game was an example of everything wrong with Zerg. If Kalazhur had been up against either Terran or Protoss the game would have been over as soon as the Marines showed up at the front door or, if not then, when the ENTIRE ARMY got smashed at the 12 minute mark.
The other games were great to watch. Both Scarlett and Kalazhur are underrated players who don't get enough time in the light.
Wut? Kelazhur would've lost immediately against Terran or Protoss because proxy 3 rax is not viable against them lol.
Also if you pay attention to that fight where Scarlet's "entire army" got smashed, the whole time Kelazhur actually had less army supply, Scarlet was over 80 drones and can remax, SC2 is balanced around that.
@@hivetech4903 Proxy 3 'rax is never used against Terran or PROTOSS? Are you SERIOUS? 3 'rax Reaper is an ABSOLUTELY viable strategy against Protoss, who is EXTREMELY vulnerable in the early game and cannot easily wall off their base.
If you don't Probe Scout it early and drop a super-fast Cyber Core and Shield Batteries to reinforce some early Adepts, you can lose the game outright because there is NOTHING Probes or Zealots can do against Reapers. This is quite possibly the most common form of Terran cheese against Protoss.
Also, Kalazhur had less army supply the entire time because Roaches and Ravagers are VERY supply-heavy. You do know that, right? One of the very few Zerg weaknesses is that some of their early-game units are supply-inefficient, meaning that you need to trade them out in the mid-game or you won't have enough supply under the cap to make better late-game units.
The PROBLEM is that the entire army got absolutely smashed and another one was ready to go, which ISN'T balanced. The ability for Zerg to re-build their army almost instantly AND get it into position to defend due to the advantages afforded by Creep (vision and speed, the two most powerful things in SC2) makes the race ENTIRELY too resilient in the mid and late game.
I'm hoping to see none of that frustrating nonsense in Stormgate and the other RPS games on the horizon. Losing your entire army should come with SERIOUS consequences, and NO race should have a (partial) maphack mechanic like Creep.
@@Josh-99 Winrates determine balance - nothing else does - the game has had near perfect balance over the past 4-5 months.
Races are designed to be different otherwise the game would be boring as heck. SC2 is by far the best strategy game that ever existed but scrubs are just too lazy to learn build orders.
Proxy 3 rax reapers Vs Protoss a common cheese? Wut? Probe scout off gateway is the standard for a reason, and the hard counter. If you lose to 3 rax reapers after that yeah maybe check out Stormgate lol. Btw you actually said "as soon as the MARINES show up..." but it doesn't matter, neither marines nor reapers are viable.

in a split-map scenario, having as many bases as your non-Zerg opponent is suicide. Zerg loses 99% of the time.
mining 2 bases more just grants you a "maybe you will not outright die to some stupid attack."
Ghosts can obliterate your expensive units with their snipes in 1 to 3 shots.
Ghosts can nuke everything.
Protoss can just spam Psi Storms and instantly jump to Archons as the HT energy gets depleted rendering your whole army crippled by two-way traffic.
the game is balanced. learn how to play.
@@cyberkekosis "Ghosts"... require four-base economy with saturated gasses to produce even modest quantities. They are vulnerable to the most basic unit that Zerg has: Zerglings (and, by extension, Banelings). Even then, Ghosts have a lot of difficulty breaking through any Zerg army backed by Infestors. You don't even need a dector unit; just look for the shimmer and throw your AMAZINGLY overstacked Fungal Growth for damage, slowing, revealing, preventing Snipes, and making it impossible for Medivacs to pick them up.
"Psi Storms"... are easily avoided by the EXTREMELY fast Zerg units (almost universally the fastest in the game) and by not clumping up. Also, Psi Storm is the most expensive upgrade in the game and takes a very long time to research, while the High Templars themselves are weak, expensive, and VERY limited in use without it. Protoss has the worst spellcasters in the game, for some reason, paling in comparison to Ghosts, Ravens, Infestors, Vipers, and Queens (Queens are literally the best unit in the game).
Oh yeah, I'd trade Psi Storm, which has to be researched and only does damage, for Fungal Growth, which does damage, slows, reveals, and "turns off" any movement ability such as dropships and teleports, without a moment's hesitation.
