The spy plane "ping" adjustment is referring to the sound made when sweep animation occurs on the mini-map; the ping sound will "ping" in the direction of the enemy; I believe the VSAT and Advanced UAV did this.

Field of view is not only positive. By having a larger fov, also makes objects smaller. And also enemies look smaller. and that makes it harder to spot and target
All the changes look great, I just don't know if I can look past the SBMM. I really want to but I know it'll be my go to excuse for when things don't go my way 🤣. Honestly, with treyarch listening to the community this much, if they could only tone down the SBMM this game could be nearly perfect.
Played one game earlier today and not only was I the only person going positive on my team while the whole enemy team went positive. EVERY person on the other team was slideshoting, dropshotting and jumphotting. The SBMM is wack in the beta right now
I believe that the new UAV audio ping feature is for the new headsets to take advantage of the new 3D audio feature on next gen consoles like PS5. The radar sweeps will have visible red dots as well as the directional ping sound of the nearest enemies so you can rely on sound and have your eyes focused on ADS and not having to glance at the radar. This will balance Ninja perk unless people run the wildcard to have ninja and ghost. This is a great idea nevertheless.
I played hard core almost all year. You could really tell when you were playing people who used headphones vs. not. Still managed to run and gun quite a bit. It wasn't terrible but I'm ready for Cold War and more Zombies.

I actually really like sliding. You can move away really quickly to cover if you’re getting shot and regain enough health to win gunfights. Besides, ive played the beta today and it barely seems like its nerfed at all. Its still fast.

That's not really how FOVs work Thunder. It's a tradeoff basically. Objects will be smaller on your screen but you will see enemies and objects that are outside your normal FOV. It helps see enemies on the right and left side of the screen but it will not help you see them better, quite the opposite in fact.
Completely agree with taking the sliding out of the game dolphin drive was so much better. I know this game isnt realistic but do you know how much strength speed and endurance it would take to slide around and jump coming out of a slide in full combat gear? Plus it just looks ridiculous.
If you have trouble seeing people on 80, good luck seeing anyone that’s further than 20 feet away on 120. 90 is my sweet spot personally. 120 handicaps your medium-long range fighting because the targets are so small.

Wouldn't suggest just cranking the FoV up just because you can. Especially on early Ps4 and Xbox, and Treyarch has come out and said that a lot of people ARE going to experience frame rate issues. So take it easy out there🤙

Directional as the ping meaning when ita pulsating on the mini map with each sweep the audio sound it makes when marking a non ghost user is now more quite but also directional (audio) to use your ears to know where exactly that ping was set so you dont have to look up at the mini map with every sweep

Raising the FOV goves you more peripheral vision but characters on the screen will look smaller/further away so itll be harder to hit your target.
