My honest thoughts and opinions on the black ops cold war beta so far is that i'm bad at it, the lobbies are very sweaty thanks to skill based matchmaking (sbmm) and the truth is it's SUPER HARD to see people or tell friendly from enemy player due to everyone looking the same. Anyone else having this problem?

Absolutely zero aim assist. I’ll deadlock my sights onto someone and they’ll start doing the tango left to right...then I’ll EMPTY THE MAG AT THEM, MISS EVERY SHOT, AND GET FUCKING BEAMED. It’s so annoying. I spend like five games yelling at the screen and then rage quit.

I'm just gonna say it cause it needs to be said. Call of Duty is a horrible franchise. There are a total of 19 games (including cold war), and I can say that about 7 of them are good. Every year people say "Oh next year's a new year." No it's not. It's the same shit in a different pile. Activision and these other developers clearly don't care about US anymore. They only want money. We need to band together and stop giving them what they want. Maybe they'll learn, but most likely not.

With all the booty sliding, bunny hopping, drop shotting going on in this beta, I am so so so glad I did not preorder this trash. After playing on the Xbox for the past 10 hours, I can honestly say this isn’t a true Treyarch game. I can’t even see any enemies on the map, players just blend in with the background, the hit detection and aim assist just doesn’t feel like a Call of Duty title. The maps look horrible, they are way to big for 6v6, there just isn’t any flow when playing on them and you wind up just running circles or to an dead end, it just isn’t fun to play. It feels like Activision is only using the Black Ops title and putting Treyarch’s name just to increase sales but I ain’t falling for it. I don’t even think putting it on the Series X is going to improve anything except maybe a slightly better frame rate. You said it perfectly Thunder, Call of Duty is dead
The angles are messed up too. Getting shot from nobody. I'm behind cover. Then on kill cam it showed me out in the open.

The game is awful, clunky movement, lag, shocking hit detection, SBMM, shit graphics, enemies blend into the environment. This game is on par with MW2019. If this game was made by Infinity Ward people would have already checked out but because its by Treyarch people give it a chance. It feels like CoD & PUBG had a baby.

Yo, it's sad but I think it's our own fault that more and more shooters suck, cause everybody is sweating as hard as they can, no more casual players, cause they ain't got shit to do.. these people that wreck u here aren't pro Players, they are bored 12 year olds, coming home from school and enjoy playing. They wanna play like the big players, getting kills and improve at the game. Nothing wrong with that, but its caused by twitch, pro-gaming, etc... I used to play Battlefield 3 with ma bois, black ops 1 and 2, and back then, most of the players where at least 16, we got the games bought by older brothers, sisters, or friends... yeah there were some sweats, but it was good back then, u know.. nowadays every fucking 7 year old kid starts playing shooters, the parents don't care anymore, and of course the kids get good at the games, but they have that much more time to improve than older players (I'm 23 btw) who are working, studying, and so on... I love to play Apex and get wrecked by kids over and over again, yeah I know i play since season 0, yeah i know I'm a decent player, no I don't get a couple thousand kills a season, cause I don't have the fucking time, yeah I know these kids are better than me, again, nothing wrong with that. I’ve played team death match since WAW and this game I literally can’t stand playing it. I’ve decided to play escort the VIP because it’s the only way to enjoy the game. If it wasn’t for zombies and the campaign I would probably cancelled the pre order tbh. Earlier I was playing against a whole team from Japan, and that shouldn’t be possible because I’m in the U.K.. and you guessed it that match was tdm, I was just testing to see if it might of changed since weekend 1 but no lmao. TDM is finished in cod.
My only problem currently is that everything is so foggy i got everything i can optimized but still people are hard to see and i cant see stuff out of the corners of my pov. I can only see people if im looking right at them, its ridiculous

Sliding and bunny hopping hasn't always been in the franchise. SBMM is getting dialed up higher and higher each year. Anyone that played the original Cods (pre jet pack) doesn't enjoy the game as they once did.

No you're not, the game is trash today. I just played for over an hour and couldn't get my kd above 1.2... my normal kd in most COD games is at least 2. Felt like my bullets were nerf darts and my enemies were one shotting me with explosive rounds. I'm not playing anymore today and if something doesn't change by Monday I'm refunding this trash.
That just means you need to learn the maps better and change your playstyle. Birdman is out here dropping a 102 kill gameplay it’s hilarious how he’s always doing stuff like that even under the worst conditions like MW19 maps with no mini map still getting 50-60 kills maintaining at least a 4.0 KD ratio while everyone else is getting bitched

I’ve said it many times: anyone wishing for the Golden Age of COD is wasting their time. Those days are gone, never to return. Just about everyone now feels like they have be a try hard all the time. The casual gamers are getting better, the pros even more so. SBMM is here to stay. It is what it is. Adjust your play style. I had fun in both the Alpha and Beta so that’s all I can about. I have good games, bad games and maybe a great game mixed in here and there. I’m cool with it. I’m having fun and that’s all I want from a game.

Yeah, you’ve said what I’ve been thinking for a while now.
1- They seriously need to nerf the UMP, it can outgun a AR at high ranges.
2- The AK-74U isn't as bad as I thought it would be, but it still manages to do what the UMP does.
3- Buff the XM4, compared to other ARs it's not very good. It only becomes better with late weapon level attachments
4- The Galil seems to be a laser
5- Score streaks need to be toned down, there are way to many being called in, mainly UAVs.

I figured out the reason youre having problems with aiming because im like wtf i had the same issue, but not with MW. this game def punishes your aim while moving moreso than MW

Cause the devs wanna cater to noobs. The maps were designed for noobs. That's why people camp. MW2019 could've have potential but the devs fucked it up. Especially removing map vote, no ninja as a perk, and ghost is bad especially for campers who use Ghost while camping in a corner with a 725. Tbh, MW2019 is great in terms of animation and gunplay, but just bad maps and loud footsteps.

I can understand your point of view. Every one has their own preferences. For me, MW2019 was a frustrating experience at first, but once I kinda learn the maps, and playing smarter, I get use to it. It's like adapting to every new CoD game. That's all it is, just adapt it die, which means camping. Not really a big problem for me. We all camp in a while, depending on the maps, but honestly the OP weapons like .725 are a problem. There's ways to counter those weapons, but when a full lobby of players use it, it's a frustrating experience. I think MW2019 is a great CoD game that the devs created, but it has downsides like SBMM. Definitely SBMM is the real issue. If they remove SBMM on MW2019, the game would've been 90% better.

The thing is SBMM prevents from pump stomping noobs. I don't wanna play against sweats that are playing like it's a MLG championship. I'm not playing for a million dollars reward. I just wanna play as a casual, not a pro sweaty athlete. Back when the OG CoD games were good, they didn't have SBMM, and it was way fun to play against players, unlike the new CoD games, it's just full of sweats 24/7.
