This is hands down the best walk through I've ever watched on this subject. I have literally quit this set-up 6 time prior. Not today. I did my first twitch vid although I deleted it because it was only a trial. I also learned to record vids straight to my desktop so I could watch my practices. U are a life saver. God bless you. For windows: after I follow your directions and I plug in a controller can I use the master output for my own play back for me to hear, as well as being able to cue?
And what if I was wanting to use an audio interface along with my dj controller and follow your instructions will the audio come out of Serato into OBS and the audio interface (that I would be using for my mic, if my mixer didn't have a mic input?).
Hope that makes sense....
If not i can explain with more details on the specific hardware i would be using. I know it'll be a little redundant & a bit of an over kill but I have some ideas I would like to implement with a setup like I was describing.
Nice walk-thru. Do you know of any way to send the "cue" audio to the PC as well? Seems like a limitation of Serato. I pipe all audio through VoiceMeeter Potato - software mixer. My other DJ software allows master output in addition to cue output so I can send the cue to another channel on the software mixer. Serato seems to be missing this.

Hello, great video! This was really helpful getting setup, I did however have one problem when going from my home setup to a set of CD-J’s and DJM. When I plugged in Laptop to the DJM (900) These audio settings were no longer available on the serato settings. ended up having to go back the controller whilst using the DJM as a controller holder, very sad situation to be in. Not sure why the settings were no longer available, anyone have a similar issues or know any way around this? Many thanks

What if you use a different computer to stream your DJ sets and use a laptop for DJ software only? I’m using the red white cable to mic input port on my streaming rig.

Fam - great info thank you. Question; if using 1 laptop for Serato crates plugged into my pioneer controller; playing my mix, and the audio is all good into OBS; is it too much to also plug my Cameras livestream; Visual into the same laptop? Don't want to overload. And if it's too much, do I then need a 2nd laptop for Camera to stream the 4k visual thru - and is so, then how do I connect the visualstream from laptop2 and synch the audio coming from laptop1 into 1 OBS stream broadcast? Thanks. But looking for settings to help make the irig sound better. Controller to rig too iPhone. Cable is Master out To irig. But seems bass is distorting. Looking for settings that may help.
Good news, Serato have included the live streaming audio option inside the public beta of Serato DJ Lite V1.5 meaning it will be in the next public release!

Hi. Thanks for the tutorial. I have a problem, everything works fine and OSB is receiving audio, until I connect my Serato hardware. Then audio stops being sent to OSB.

thanks for tutorial, I have just recently installed Serato DJ lite, checked the most recent version and I have it, version 1.4.3.117. When I go to the audio tab there is not a check box for 'make audio available to other apps'. I did manage to download the VAC with no problems. I was confused as on the video I thought it mentioned it would work in Serato DJ Lite, when went to Serato site it indicates I have the latest version? Am I going wrong somewhere obvious? Thanks.

Hi, very good your explanation! in my case I did everything right to use Serato Pro with DDJ Sr and OBS Studio in Windows 10, but I couldn't capture the audio from the microphone plugged into the front input of the controller, audio comes out at the master output, but the microphone does not come out on the OBS and not even No Serato Pro. know how to do it?

@@parrotlungs3719 Yes, to use in broadcasts I'm using a Bheringer audio card, I'm getting the audio from the booth output, this way the capture is complete, audio + mic.

Ha, neat. I had not seen this and im on 2.4.3 now. Well ive got used to using a 2nd laptop now with OBS, and a ext USB soundcard connected to my Booth Out. So i can control the level via my mixer. I have seen several people now have Stuttering issues when streaming, and this was because they were using their DJing laptop for streaming as well. Even for a high end i7 it can be a bit much asking it to process HD video for streaming while also controlling Serato which in itself is very resource hungry.

Yes it should stream the same audio as you hear from the master speakers :)

I did all of this but OBS is not picking up my serato audio. So what I did was downloaded an ASIO plugin for OBS, booted it up, picked the new ASIO input capture and still no audio! Now what?
Every time I open Serato to livestream I have to tick that box. It won't stay ticked after closing Serato.

Lets say i want to talk to the microphone during my live set. People who watching me will hear only the music but not the mic. Because the sound stream directly from serato 🤔 is that right? Let's keep it simple. When i use a dj controller and take the signal from my RCA controller. The output will include the music + mic signal. But if i route the signal directly from the software. The listener will hear music but not my voice that coming up from the mic. As you know in tiktok / twitch, We use the mic alot. Do you have solution for that?! 🤔🙏
Please do a tutorial on the Best way to keep your Serato crates synced to those Windows folders you drag in to create those crates.
Everytime i add new tunes to the folders in Windows i then have to remember which songs i added to which folder and manually drag the Tunes over to the correct crate in Serato. Every single time for every single track always and it drives me Bat Shit Crazy not having a simple way to sync them when i make changes in the Windows folders Serato uses as Crates?????

most mics will have 1/4 in or XLR out puts.. your sr2 has 1/4 input... are you using wireless or wired?

@@kenntaron they don’t mention it in the video, but if you want to have your mic feed through your mixer, you need to use an external sound card to run your audio. The “make audio available” option is only for the music
When I'm not using Serato, one laptop works fine. I view my tracks from the players. I have OBS open the entire time. I can even shrink it and split screen OBS with Facebook. Serato takes up the entire screen. I can't put it side by side with anything. How are you able to accomplish this with just one laptop? Especially with multiple OBS scenes?
Are you using the Serato 2.5 public beta? It's a well known bug that you can't minimise the screen, they are working to fix that :)
Does the Pioneer DDJ 1000 SRT have the ability to send a digital audio signal out via USB? I would like to send my audio out digitally to a 2nd PC that is operating OBS for streaming on Twitch. Is there a way i can send a digital signal through the USB A or B outlet to a second PC. My using a MacBook Pro for Serato and a 2nd PC for OBS to stream on Twitch. Anyone know?

Use a sound card to capture the master out of your controller. Something like the UCA 202 by Behringer would do the job just fine

Everytime I try to download the VAC it tells me a driver is missing for it or something and cancels the download nothing I do works and no one is available to help. Rough.
Does anyone know why my mic has an echo/reverb when using Serato? I'm using a Roland DJ 202 with OBS? Can't seem to find the source of the reverb?
The microphone on the 202 isn't routed into Serato sadly so can't be heard! You'd need to use a sound card such as the Behringer UCA202 to capture the master output

Hi dJ Holland. I Got Rane SL3 Box. I Dont get it to work in OBS. NO SOUND IN OBS. Or any body can help me out. If play with out the Rane box then it work. But not with rane sl3 box.

What if serato is still asking me to download the iShowU program after I've downloaded it and installed it? Yes, it was allowed on the security options.

@@Djtravieso_ Hi! Yes! I fixed the problem. After you download iShowU you have to restart your mac and make sure to check if it is not blocked from the system preferences. If it is, allow it and restart your mac again once you've done it, open serato again and mark the iShowU option. It's wprking fine for me

Apologies for our mistake in the video claiming that Serato DJ Lite is compatible with a VAD. Sadly this isn't true and this method will only work in Serato DJ Pro.
