Elvis was the best he didn't need auto tunes it's all Elvis ❤️🙏
I don't know if you'll see this , but in 1973 this concert was broadcasted live all over the world live. I was 11 then and still remember it well even after all this years. This song means so much to me, I'm from Dixieland, and love this song.
If this doesn't bring tears to your eyes..........you have no soul.
Amen.
I don't think evidence of a soul is predicated on if you cry to this song. Just a hunch
I don't care how many times I watch this, it still gives me chills and goosebumps.
It brings me joy!
This man is not a result of mere genetics. God did this. What a performance.
Elvis Presley jimi hendrix my 2 favorites
The genes are made by God ;-)
And this people is why Elvis will now and forever remain the king! 👑
You have just witnessed the GREATEST ENTERTAINER THE WORLD WILL EVER SEE!!!!! No auto-tune no pitch correction just PURE PERFECTION!! No one will ever come close to Elvis the power the passion the emotion. A gift to us all from GOD himself. Long live the KING.
Well said!!!!!!
@@christophertaylor5441 Thank you, it's very easy to tell the truth.
Yes So True ! Like John Lennon From The Beatles Who Was Inspired By Elvis Said Before Elvis There Was Nothing !
I think everyone is missing the significance of the songs he chose. Dixie was a Confederate song. Glory, Glory Hallelujah was a Union song. All My Trials summed it up with children lost their fathers no matter the reason for the war.
This was naturally understood by the audiences back in the day.
Make you cry
And this is why this man remains the king 46 year after his passing.
Over the years I have heard this song, the live version, hundreds of times. I still get goosebumps, I still cry. Elvis will live on for hundreds of years because he has that affect on people!
Don't cry because he's gone; smile because he was here.
I'm 43 I was introduced to Elvis music when I was six this elvis man is my musical hero
Yes! Thank you!
Elvis can make a grown man cry.
My God what a voice! And the best looking man ever!
He still gives me the chills. So much expression in his singing
Me too, and I am 75,
@@lindaartz3297 my sister and cousin went to see him in the 70's and my cousin got one of those sweaty scarves he used to toss to the crowd! She was so excited to have it.
That voice so strong, could sing any type of music. Gospel a whole new level. Gave it so much meaning. True gift.
a song the equal of elvis' 'american trilogy' is 'oid man river' by frank sinatra, live!!
To this day
Played at my dads funeral. Everyone listened. Music is the only Universal thing we don’t fight over.
Elvis' charisma was amazing. His Voice and stage presence is timeless.
The King!
The last part of the trilogy was so prophetic....he was taken from us so much sooner than any of us desired.....he was the best!
ONE of his best performance Thank you for sharing! 👋👋
The greatest
We will never see anyone as great as Elvis.
THERE WILL NEVER BE ANOTHER WHO COMPARES TO THE ONE AND ONLY ELVIS THE GREATEST OF ALL TIMES
I cry every time I hear him sing this song. It’s really about the American Civil War. Glory Glory Hallelujah we are still one country.
There will never, ever be another Elvis. He has no equal.
Correct, who wants to be a controlled over weight drug abuser?
His body language......his facial expressions .....those eagles embroidered on his sleeves......oh Elvis, there will never be anyone who comes near him .
@Stella Burnell * 👍❣
1974 in Atlanta and I was on the 3rd row. ELECTRICITY everywhere.
I’m 54 years old and I was blessed to see him live 3 times. My mom and aunt were super fans and took me when they could. And even tho I was very young and didn’t remember but two shows, I can tell you when that man came on stage it was like nothing I had ever experienced before or since. The air was electric and people were changed it was so special .that I understood
... Not only Mister America, ... but Mister WORLD!!! Elvis was the FIRST and BEST and it was not for nothing that he was voted singer of the last century in 1999!! ✨💎✨🕺🏻🕯 Thank you
And that’s why he was, and always will be, The King!
American Trilogy is one reason why, there's Elvis, and then there is every other rock and pop vocalist who ever lived.
He was definitely top of the food chain. Vicki
The Icon , The Legend, The untouchable, The master, The Immortal, The incredible, The Gladiator and King of stage, The King of style, The King of charisma, The greatest of all time, The total package, The King of Music Elvis Aaron Presley. Untill the end of time.
Nobody has said it better than you! Thank you!
Also Humble
Amen.
Elvis's live performances are always better than the studio recordings.
That's why he's not comparable to anyone.
I think for modern audiences, they miss some crucial points in this performance. There are no on-stage monitors, no ear plugs, no auto-tune, and he is constantly listening for 'musical cues' to know when and where to sing and move.
And who used any of the afore mentioned in those days?
This concert was broadcast via satellite from Hawaii LIVE TO THE ENTIRE WORLD. One exception was the United States due to a conflict with the Super Bowl, It was seen the next day.. I don't know how many people watched a two night performance. My guess is hundreds of millions maybe close to a billion. I saw Elvis and this song performed in Madison Square Garden NY and I couldn't believe the power of the live performance. Was he the best singer, actor, musician or dancer? No. He was more! He was ELVIS PRESLEY!
Elvis had one of the most powerful singing voices ever. He was taken far too soon, can you imagine the amount of amazing music that the world missed out on? So sad. 😢
He actually had an opera singers voice that was mellowed down on certain songs. Great ass man
Elvis;s voice was so powerful! Any other singer would have been drowned out by all those backup singer voices and his terrific band and the fantastic orchestra! They had a huge sound..but Elvis's voice was front and center over all!!
Realistically most very successful singers produce less music overall and less great music after they are 40 years old.
We lost 10 years of new original music from Elvis because of Parker. He sent him away in the Army to Germany for 2 years and 8 years doing B movies.. not allowing great song writers to
write songs for Elvis because of his greed to control the publishing.. I cry thinking if this..
@@darrylrogers2337I believe it was Pavarotti who said that Elvis could have sung opera, but he would never be able to sing like Elvis!!👌💕🕺
Long live the King! His voice touches your soul 💕💕💕
This always gives me chills. RIP, Elvis! There will never be another one like him!
This was magnificent. Thank you Brandon for referring this to Harri. And thank you Harri for your great reaction. I have seen this many times but it takes my breath away whenever I see it. Everything about this performance was beyond description. We still miss Elvis today and always will. This is why he was the King. 👏👏❤️
CAROL MAURIZIO : WAS ? ? IS ! ! ! 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
@@tommyrregina1227 Was IS and always will be THE KING. The greatest of all time amd a blessing to the world.
Like Elvis said: Jesus is King but we sure loved to hear Elvis sing.
He Balked EVERYTIME HE WAS CALLED "THE KING". He would stop, Point Skyward and HUMBLY say, "There is ONLY ONE KING". His faith was his foundation and though, like All of Us he often fell on life's road. The temptations were constant. But he always wanted to do "right".
I am not at all musical but I have shivers going up and down my legs. A God given talent. Thank you Elvis
People imatate and make fun of him...I DON'T CARE! HE WILL ALWAYS BE THE KING to me!!! THE GREATEST SINGER IN MY LIFETIME!
There was and will only be one Elvis, every time I hear the Trilogy I can only cry he had such A God given talent no one can hold a candle to his talent, he was taken away to soon!! God Bless You Elvis and thank you for sharing your talent with us!! Again there will only be one Elvis!! ❤️🙏🏼🕊
He emotes like no other singer. Looks and otherworldly talent. It's uncanny!
Stunning..........never will we see a Man like this again.....he wasn't was from this world
If Elvis will come back today ! He can repeat all his famous songs and it will sounded new to most people and he's still famous !
Probably the best live performer of all time.
He was named the King 👑 for a reason. The like we will never see again RIP King
Seeing Elvis preform live is one of my favorite memories. He still gives me chills.
When did you see him? I saw him in 1973 and 1974. 3rd row in 1974!! Perfect show and so much electricity!
I saw Sinatra twice in 80's but never saw Elvis. Big mistake.
So jealous!!!!! I share the same birthday with Elvis 😉. My daughter just moved to Texas. I’m going to visit her, and on my back home to Canada….. I’m stopping off to visit Graceland! I think I’ll cry once there❤️
Elvis was and still is the epitome of a legend. Charisma like no other, voice like no other, stage presence like no other and humble like no other. He truly is THE greatest of all time and we will never see another like him.
I saw him in 1970 at the Astrodome. The seats weren’t that great, but just being in the same room with him and breathing the same air as him was more than enough for this 14 year old girl!
It doesn't get any better. It just doesn't!! ❤
I saw him in 1973 and 1974! 3rd row in 74!!!!! This is how he ended his show. In the end, all the lights went out and all the lights shown on the American Flag on the ceiling!!! Charisma, Talent, and ELECTRICITY!!!! I've seen maybe 250 concerts and this was my favorite EVER!
Glorious. There's nothing more for me to say other than ...glorious.
Hail to the KING 👑 !!!
Imagine him in the 1980s and 90s-- parker fired -- playing this song and others in Yankee Stadium, Red Rocks, the largest stadiums and important venues in the entire world….
You need to SEE the new Elvis movie! 🎉😂❤ it's really good!
Man, if that doesn’t put a smile on your face, somethings very wrong!
He was and still is bigger than life.
My mom was a huge Elvis fan so I grew up hearing his music and watching every one of his movies. I always felt that putting him in movies was a waste of his talent. Live is the best way to see him.
I agree 100%. He was a vocal genius who commanded a stage like no other. I think of all the songs he could have, should have done instead of 8 years of his management's idea of who he should be and what he should do. Even worse knowing how much he hated them and knew it was a waste but never found the confidence to break free. Vicki
Elvis wasn't fond of Colonel Parker purring him in movies either!
Noboby but nobody could deliver a song , or even a note , like Elvis could , even the way he uses the microphone , positioning the microphone closer or further from himself to deliver the best sound , everything he has goes into his delivery . Just the most amazing , charismatic performer ever . Also have to admire how he stops to allow the other band members and musicians to have their moment in the spotlight .
I cannot imagine anything ever topping that.... the arrangement was perfect and Elvis was 'on'. Never be another moment like it.
As big, and as good as he was as he was in the late 1950' early 60's his voice matured in the 5-6 years that eventuated in this brilliant performance. The earlier Elvis could not have pulled this off. The flute player was Gabriel Baltazar born November 1, 1929 died June 12, 2022.
I agree. His mature voice from 1968 onwards was sublime.
As he got older his voice got better
He is the king.
Magic. He was magic. Plain and simple.❤
@Heidi Sprouse * I totally agree. I miss him so much!
You felt the Spirit!
It’s a song about God after all!
Brazilian metal vocalist Dan Vasc covered this song, dedicated it to his father, who died from cancer. Great performance, you can see his tears towards the end.
I love when poor people make it!!! Elvis and Jackie Wilson were friends Elvis helped Jackie Elvis was not a racist!!❤
What a performer what an arrangement. Nothing comes close today.
FYI for those unfamiliar: The trilogy is three songs of the Civil War. "Dixie" the unofficial anthem of the South, "Battle Hymn of the Republic" the unofficial anthem of the North, and "All My Trials" a Negro spiritual.
He's alive, he's been a witness protection program. He preaching n singing God's work. It's what he has always wanted to do. He didn't like his life he was leading back then
Four years out of the jungle of Vietnam, I watched this live on TV in Houston, TX in 1973 on my brand new Sony Trinitron 32" TV. Had my beautiful blue eyed blond wife and my 3 year old son at my side and I will never forget the chills the American Trilogy brought to us. Thanks for reminding me.
Yeh mate those moments are brief but the memories are forever
Amazing talent. He is surely missed.
HE WAS THE GREATEST THEN, HE IS THE GREATEST NOW AND WILL BE THE GREATEST ENTERTAINER PERFORMER EVER AND WE WILL ALWAYS LOVE ❤️ 😍 😅🎉❤HIM FOREVER!!!
Elvis did all he could do while he was with us. He loved what he did and boy it sure showed.
Elvis Was The Greatest Entertainer To Have Walked This Planet ! The Voice ! The King ! Humanitarian !
Revolutionary Elvis !
And that’s why they call him the KING!!!!
Elvis...greatest of all time! I always enjoy your reactions. Have you reacted to his "If I Can Dream?" If not, you have missed a heart-wrenching song of hope. You should not miss it. He is in a white suit with his name in huge letters behind him. That's the best one. But there is another of his greatest. You may have heard it. " In The Ghetto." You should not miss it. Heart-wrenching? No. GUT wrenching!
Elvis music will live forever!!
Remarkable performance.
Elvis gets so much credit as deserved for his vocal abilities. He does not get credit enough for the arrangement and production of the music. You are right Harri. Every grunt, movement and expression he has was a telegraph to his band.
@OverandOutChief1 * I totally agree. Elvis was the most underrated arranger/producer ever! There's a You Tube video of Elvis rehearsing "Bridge Over Troubled Water" in Las Vegas 1970 that shows him putting the production together, directing the musicians and background vocalists, etc. until he got the results he wanted. His talents were limitless!
I miss him so much😪
In order to arrange music, you must first be able to read it and write music. Since Elvis could not do any of these, your comments are lies or wishful thinking, pick one and deal with it.
@@bwana-ma-coo-bah425 Somebody better tell artists like Yanni and George Strait that their contributions to the arrangements are null and void. If you are going to speak, at least be informed. Elvis in the studio was in charge of the product coming out. Raise the bass, lower the piano, more choral etc. He could not read or write a note. However, you don't need to. He knew what sounded good to him and strived to record how he heard it. He did this regularly. He was very much part of the production of what he was putting out.
@@OverandOutChief1 Changing a few notes does NOT! make you an arranger or producer. And in relation to the others you mentioned. When the forum and comments are made about their musical abilities, feel free to comment. Until then, Elvis was not nor will he be any kind of musical anything.
@@bwana-ma-coo-bah425 Imagine that? All of what you say and all I have to do to refute is say yes he does arrange his works.
Beautiful reaction to a beautiful man singing like something not from this world.
not a man alive to this day that can compare to that man ELVIS LIVES FOREVER!!!!!
There is no one like our beautiful Elvis..never will be !!! THE GOAT 🎤❤🎼🔥..Great reaction ❤
Elvis Was A Professional Musician!
No he was not! A professional musician can read and write and play music presented to them. Elvis could do none of these.
The most amazing entertainer who ever lived or probably ever will be. Too damn good.
The greatest, The King, save Elvis forever.
Our Beautiful Singer from Mississippi. We are still proud of him to this day. R.I.P. E❤
Elvis is my favorite singer, performer , i'm addicted to him. no one can ever replace him. thank you
There will never be anyone to equal him as a performer.
One of my favorite Elvis moments/songs.
I've heard Elvis sing this a thousand times and it always gives me goosebumps and brings tears to my eyes! I grew up in the south of the USA. I've picked cotton in the blazing sun in the fields with my parents and grandparents for money. I've sang these 3 songs many times in church and in elementary school. They mean a lot to me. I've told my family when I die I want this song by this man played. Thank you for taking your time and sharing with us. 🇺🇸
He was the BEST. Nobody can compare to Elvis.
He let the women and men backup singers sing. I cry when I watched this after he died. There will never be another Elvis.
That was stunning. Gave me goose bumps. What a beautiful voice, beautiful back ground orchestra, singing.
He was the best live performer there ever has been! He loved it and it showed.
Im 62 yrs old i have always been an elvus fan. I cried like a baby when he passed away. Eventhough his movies were eeh i still watch them. We lost him way to young. I get goose bumps when i here him. I miss you Elvis im nit afraid to admit i live tge man. God has one of the best preformers with him now.
Elvis always looks so cool , calm and collected. A legend boy...
He was so sick and exhausted here yet he gave it his all. Makes me cry.
I first saw this while watching his live from Hawaii concert on tv. Brought tears then and still does. He was so much more than king of rock n roll. All of his gospel songs are amazing!!! Still miss him 😢 💔.
He sounds SO GOOD.
I Was in Jr. High school when he was out . I had 550 pictures on my wall .
Big red letters ,saying ELVIS
above my bed with a framed picture of Elvis in his gold suit.
I was at that concert 3rd. Row from stage.
Now I'm old and still love him❤❤❤
The King of Rock and Roll❤
I CANNOT GET ENOUGH OF ELVIS MORE PLEASE LOVE ELVIS LOVE HIS MUSIC GREW UP WITH ELVIS❤❤❤❤❤❤❤WWQ
Elvis took your soul just like you took your neighbours TV!
Elvis could touch your soul like no other; it’s hard to describe but only Elvis has been able to do that: what a special person he was and yes the aloha version of this trilogy is the best TCB
Brandon, this Elvis Presley "American Trilogy" is absolutely magnificent. I have no idea why this wasn't blocked, but every person viewing this should give thanks if they haven't seen and heard it before. Harri, thank s for reviewing this performance. Your comments were equally outstanding.
High praise Dave. Glad you enjoyed it.
@@brandonious7732 3RD row in 1974! I am so lucky!!!
Elvis was ALWAYS in full control when performing on stage. He sang and conducted all while bringing a great show to the audience.
Beautiful. Thank you. No one compares.
My friend, I’m glad you’re listening to the King! I recently had a Private Investigator do some checking for me concerning Elvis! She was gone for about two weeks and spent most of her time in Kansas City, M. She called me and said, Michael your not gonna believe this but there’s a old man here in Kansas City who calls himself Jesse Garon! That is the name of Elvis dead brother who died at birth! She said she didn’t get to talk to him but found out Jesse is using the same social security number that belongs to Elvis Presley! Man she told me so many unbelievable things when she got home! I was a huge fan of Elvis and when they announced he was dead my life changed! He took my soul as well! I really appreciate you saying good things about him! He was a very very special human being! He loved everybody! He is such a Blessing and you are too! God Bless!
