Wow, I've been watching every episode of voyager and I didn't notice they've said "some kind of" so many times I must have blocked it out since you hear it so much.
Never bothered me much but I got very annoyed at all the uses of "47". Almost any time they give a number they used 47. Started in TNG and got severely overused in Voyager and some of Enterprise
@@CharlesP2009 The some kind of is much more jarring, I've heard about VOY overuse of some kind of and 47, and before reading your comment I forgot about the 47 things but "some kind of" is so annoying.
I love Star Trek! This video has been lovingly collated by a fan of Voyager and from one fan to another I thank you for your dedication and commitment!
and you're all astronauts...on some kind of STAR TREK, man I love this video, I'm not sure how you managed to cut all this together but I'm highly impressed, may the great bird of the galaxy bless your planet.

This video is some kind of awesome. I've watched it a few times over the years and it still cracks me up. Love Voyager! Great work! This should be required watching at every Star Trek convention.
A brand new, and totally unique *Jogwheel Original* -- and it's all about one of my favorite TV shows. If you enjoy the video, please share it around on social media! Thanks for watching :-)

It’s one of those little things Star Trek as a whole is full of but voyager leaned on it the most, or at least seemed to. This was one video that never seemed to end and I’ll never watch it again, because it succeeded so well. Great video just one I can never endure more than once!
Well done sir, you've broken my brain. I mean that as a compliment by the way; the amount of effort that went into this really shines through, and we thank you for making that effort.

I can't believe this hasn't been done yet, but there needs to be some kind of compilation video of everytime a member of the Voyager cast raises one of their eyebrows. I first noticed Janeway doing it, then I began to notice just about everyone else doing it as the seasons progressed, lol.
That seems less like a TV-Trope-y thing, and more of just a natural human expression. Whereas "some kind of..." is a phrase mostly exclusive to sci-fi.
I love the way they transition so that they all have something in common with the previous one
That's the part that took the most effort!
Jogwheel Wow, it actually starts to tell a story of its own after a while.
Jogwheel You certainly did a great job putting this together. I used to watch this show!
You might say they have some sort of continuity. :p

As did 'some kind of romantic dinner' and 'some kind of sauce'
That and “some kind of leather jacket” 😂

I absolutely adored the part where they all rhymed.

This smacks of some kind of deliberate practical joke on the part of the cast and crew. It's just too coincidental!!
It's just a very prevalent writing tick. DS9 and ENT have lots of it too - but I think VOY is the worst example.
Just an unfortunately lame writing staff.
