I feel like that trend was fine as long as they didn't do it so bad that it hurt the cat. I tried to aggresively(not the painful way) to pet a cat I had once, and he was pretty ecstatic about it, he likes being pet both gently and aggresively, and he does it back
i mean- i “hard pet” my cat, but its not painful or stressful it just annoys him.. but yeah some of those videos? those cats look pretty mad or uncomfortable
The original person who accidentally started this trend was talking about her cat's lore (Lucille the cat) before she owned her, and all the crazy things she survived before becoming a pampered house cat. It's sad people took this as an opportunity to display their own neglect and abuse towards their own cats.
Most of the people are joking. The cats look like they’ve been treated to ten thousand vacations in Paris and fed French vanilla ice cream by a young lady. How are you implying that you genuinely think someone detonated a fucking bomb or threw a 990 pound brick at it
I remember I saw a video of someone throwing their cat or their kitten as a joke and people were saying "BUT YOU DONT OWN THEIR CAT1!1!1!1!" Idc if it was a "joke" you shouldn't throw your cats as a joke, that's how you make your cats scared of you ffs 💀
It's honestly disgusting what people would do to animals. They are LIVING, BREATHING, animals. They should be treated with love and care, and people who treat them badly should be punished :(
hopefully the cat found a home that actually helped them. animal abuse is sickening, there is no reason to treat an animal so badly, especially if you are supposed to care for them.
There is a reason why the lifespan of an outdoor cat is 2-3 years. If people actually cared about their cat, they would keep them mostly indoors. The lifespan of an indoor cat is 10-15 years. My cat is currently 13 years old. It's sad to see someone be so careless towards their cat because my cat is a gift from the universe. I had him since I was 12 years old, and he still cuddles with me every night.
I keep trying to tell this to my dad because i don't want another cat dying. He doesn't listen and he doesn't even prevent them going outside during the night. No matter how often they get injured, "it's cruel to keep them inside" but then i remember seeing these cats down at my moms, albeit not mine, just watching the window and not jumping out. The cat was pleased. And fine. And it hurts everytime I remember it
Half of this and the younger generation has been claimed to be have low empathy for others, other than their selfish selves. A certain orange hoodie someone for example, influences hundreds of kids to do this or worse. I don’t have faith in humanity, but care about animals more unless if there was a hurt child.
Stop blaming generations. It's the parents fault for not teaching them properly, and that they don't have high empathy themselves to teach their kids as well. There are a lot of young people who are horrible, but they're horrible to other young people their age too. And those young people who are bullied don't socialise because of the bullying. It's an issue with humans, stop being obsessed with generations
I have an outdoor cat, she’s always been an outdoor cat and is like 8 years old at this point, the only place where you can properly keep an outdoor cat is in a small village with not too busy streets where cars drive slowly.
@@aurikanumost cats definitely can and will catch birds, but at the end of the day you know your cat best. Owners like you who responsibly let their cats out are much less of a problem then people like those discussed in the video.
My mom almost ran over a dog when driving down an empty road. It ran out of the places (I think it looked like a farm?) gate at the exact moment when the car turned the corner.. if a road exists it has a chance to get hit 😭
I have a barn at home, so obviously we have barn cats, but some of them also live in the outside garage(both are old buildings so they aren't like what you'd see now) and the only thing my grandma does for them is feed them, tho they obv still hunt. Most of the cats here live almost as long as indoor cats, so it's even more baffling to see that cat go through all of that...

the “petting my cat harder each time” trend freaks me out too tbh-
Same even though I own two cats myself how are these people petting them so HARD
Same here. Like, the cat doesn't like it... Stop-
One of my orange gremlins loves more intense pets and is very cuddly, but if he's not in the mood I immediately stop. Respect their boundaries 😿

One of them could be hurt now, he got ran over and he couldn't even keep him inside like the funding vet told him to.
I’m scared😭 wth is wrong with ppl. I have a cat and I do crazy thing to make sure he’s safe

ngl this part 4:12 may be true since animals like to run away when they are about to die cause this happened to my two dogs tho ..
Some people don't realize animals are living beings too...

Even then, outdoor cats reek havoc on the local song bird population.
