    Just took delivery of my 2020 Challenger limited. Your enthusiasm matched mine with the first few rides for sure ! I'm accessing the bike as Road Glide (just sold my 2011 103 Street Glide for this bike) meets Gold Wing (similar HP to the new GW) meets sportbike/sport tourer (My BMW RT1200 is not as pretty, but a better all weather tourer and my BMW S1000rr validates that I know HP). This bike takes a little of each of those and gives you a hybrid of them. I can see that Polaris is targeting a slightly younger crowd, getting that loyalty going for future purchases. I'm sold so far (just did my first fill up, 36.6 mpg nothing to brag about, but still impressed with the comfort/performance/look of the bike for a high performance cruiser), and a good thing as I'm an owner and my wife (bought her a 2015 Indian Vintage in '16, she never missed her HD Deluxe a day after that and has bugged me to join the Tribe ever since) is now smiling saying , "told you so". Thought I wanted a Chieftain because of the ride and handling superiority to my Street Glide, glad I waited for the Challenger to arrive.... ;)

    Never use front brake in slow speed maneuvers my bro. Rear only, friction zone and a touch of throttle and it won't want to fall over on you like that.

    • @InvictvsNox
      @InvictvsNox  4 роки тому

      Correct. This wasn't an intended low-speed maneuver though. It was intended as a stop to back up and turn more but the bike decided it wasn't done turning.

    Hey dudes! Super happy at the positive feedback and all the love left on this vid. I know these aren't the well put-together deep dives you see on major networks, but rather the first impressions captured in the raw, and I believe they provide a very unique value on their own.
    That said, I'd love to hear from you guys on what's missing. What can I do to improve upon these types of vids?

      AMINUL As the recalls pile up at Polaris, the trouble gets deeper and deeper. In two years, Polaris vehicles were involved in 247 fires, three deaths, plus 30 burns and other injuries. More than six lawsuits from burn victims are pending - including one filed last week - while several others have settled.

      Sales are also dropping but Polaris hides it unlike A worsening sales decline
      Polaris Industries is not transparent at all when it comes to telling you how its motorcycle business is performing. Where Harley breaks down sales and shipments by geographic region and type of motorcycle, Polaris provides vague percentage increases or declines, maybe calling out a model once in a while, but never giving investors any real insight into how Indian's various motorcycles are performing.
      What we do know is that despite double- and even triple-digit sales growth early on, Indian Motorcycle sales are now quickly spiraling down. Even as Polaris obscures the actual numbers, a mid-teen-percentage decline in retail sales that far eclipses the contraction of the broader motorcycle market suggests that this is becoming a big problem for the bike maker.
      Worse, the downdraft is accelerating. In the second quarter, Polaris said Indian retail sales were down by almost 10%, while in the first quarter they were almost 10%, while in the first quarter they were down by high single-digit rates. In last year's fourth quarter they were down by low double-digit amounts, which was a big drop since they had been positive the quarter before.
      That doesn't bode well for when Polaris reports results the next time around. Even though the bar has been lowered considerably on sales, there's no reason to think it will be able to rebound -- precisely because Indian is still making the same kinds of heavy, big-bore bikes as Harley.
      It just released its newest touring motorcycle, the 2020 Challenger, that houses its bigger, more muscular liquid-cooled PowerPlus engine that evokes images of Harley's Road Glide.

    Let me guess when you got back with the demo ride and you did that take turn you probably engage the clutch too much if you keep constant power to the wheel the bike would not have gone down. A mistake a lot of people make I can do some pretty tight hairpin turns with my Chieftain the key is not pulling the clutch too far you need constant power to the rear wheel. Your tires are like gyroscopes as long as power is to them the bike will not fall down. I take delivery on my Challenger in a week or two as soon as it gets delivered. 😎

I guess it could happen but I personally don't worry about it. I wouldn't leave my phone in my RAM mount unattended for very long however... it's small and easily detached and pocketed. My friends got one he likes it but his comments are always "i don't think its as fast as my cross country was". It's a nice bike they did a good job and at least it woke up Harley. It doesn't stand a chance against a sport tourer though, so if you're used to power and sport like handling this is not going to keep up with you. Just another "test rider" who walked out the door without purchasing the bike, this must be the thing to do nowadays I guess. You kids and your "sport" mode. All it does is take out the modularity of the throttle to make power come on at smaller inputs. Most of them don't make any additional power, it just makes the silly thing harder to control. You can do the same thing in Standard mode by just tugging on the throttle a little harder.

      With these, I typically prefer to approach a bike completely blind to all the numbers, hype, and marketing because I want to convey how a first ride impression will be to the people interested in watching.
      Some people such as yourself may wish to know more and I'd like to incorporate that somehow without ruining the experience mentioned above.
      I figure I'd keep fewer minutes on the clock for the sake of people who will google that info anyway.
