I was concerned that Ruby had no questions about her kids’ well being. That is definitely suspect. Accusing her son of s. abuse was awful! If anything, it showed her lack of motherly love and sick preference for her own (ass) situation. She looks terribly guilty by these choices. Also, these kids looked so terrified on the clips I have seen, that it is hard to believe sexual perversion was on their minds. I think they were trying to avoid being hurt at any moment in their lives. This woman is sick, unfit to mother a ferret, let alone a child.

I agree. I feel like it should be noted that basic curiosity is seen as a "sin" with religious zealots, regardless of religion. Things like asking questions about life and how the body works in general can sometimes be met with shame. That seems to be how many hang ups and deviants are created; what should be discussed in a healthy manner ends up being hidden and blown up to unhealthy proportions.
I get the impression that the men that went to Jodi's counseling might've been having regular marital issues, possibly sexual, that she used to break up these families. Something in the way that it is spoken about sounds like "issues with the men." In both the Frenke case and that one gentleman that recently spoke out about Jodi, when they speak of the division of the family they say something along the lines of they "didn't want his problems to bring down the rest of the family." That sounds like straight up sex shame played up by both Ruby and Jodi.

I guess a person needs to know a bit about the religion they belong to, in order to understand the 'why' of this. They believe that their marriage is eternal and so to leave it interrupts a fundamental tenant of the religion. They actually go through a special ceremony in their temples when they get married to reinforce this belief system. The dad will therefore say that reunification will always be the goal, and may even stay silent if Jodi's brain washing has made him believe that by doing so, he'd regain the marriage. It's truly sick and twisted on Jodi's part, because she not only works outwardly to destroy the relationship, but then turns around and promises that if the men do as she asks, there will be a chance to get the relationship back. The 'carrot and stick ' set up, and vulnerable people have been stuck in the hamster wheel of deceit and manipulation. These are my opinions of course.

Adam is and will always be effected by the abuse he suffered. From the church, Boy Scout of America, Jodi, his wife and BYU. He obviously came a long was since her remarried and has a child or children now but he is to mentally messed up. Yes he won in court but who ever really wins in a situation like that but I believe Jodi had her license taken away but somehow got it back. These horrendous things that happened to these people happened way before this came to light and I am hoping it could be used against Jodi.

And Jodi's nibling, Jessie, who experienced hauntingly similar abuse at the hands of Jodi. Adam Paul Steed's interview is very telling of Kevin's situation, but Jessie's experience is more telling of what these two little kids were probably subjected to.
With regards to the s*xual a*use allegations made by Ruby, I think it's important to realize that, as per Jessie's telling, they were essentially tortured until they "confessed", with Jodi telling them it would stop if they just confessed. Jessie said they resorted to making things up to confess to, with the hopes that Jodi would stop abusing them.
Those allegations against RF are absolutely false, the product of a pair of extremely sick minds inflicting tortured "confessions".

Something to consider…..while many of us involved in the true crime community know you ALWAYS ask for a lawyer before speaking to police there are many others that don’t know this. If a majority of people see this practice as suspicious then we have to acknowledge that. It’s a real factor in the public opinion of many and that makes it a relative consideration. This is why education is so important and why we need channels like this.

@@sydludwig1826 yup took your advice incase I missed something. I’m not too proud to see if I’m wrong.
Ben’s response was perfect he said legally it was smart. However he was saying yes he could see how it looks suspect not asking about her kids- he was responding to Jesse’s comments about a parent wanting to know if their child was ok. Context is important. I took your advice and watched it again, I still stand by my opinion and I believe Ben would state exactly what I have just said. He literally opened with it is smart legally. But added as a parent would want to see if their child was ok. Just as the question was multifaceted… so was the response. This is why the objection “compound” is perfect in court. It would have separated the two questions. I stand with Ben! His response was the perfect compromise between legalese and common sense/human nature. #benchew is a god! If there is one person I hold in higher regard when it comes to the law than LYK- it is Ben Chew. And I didn’t know who he was nor have I ever seen a Johnny Depp movie or knew anything about JD before that trial- my opinion is based purely and simply on what I have witnessed him do professionally both during and since the JD trial.

But it is not all about Hildebrandt. This young man has other trauma relating to the Mormon Church. Steed is the patient who got Hildebrandt's license suspended. Steed is also the teenager who went up against the Mormon Church and Boy Scouts of America after reporting sexual abuse. He is a good human, but the trauma he has survived has left emotional scars. On the plus side, Steed has all of his documentation. The LDS church played a huge role in giving Hildebrandt's name out as an "approved" mental health provider.

My BIL is a lawyer married to a DA near D.C. & a few years ago they sent all the kids in the family a viral video of a Virginia law professor friend of theirs. He gave the top reasons for NEVER speaking to the police.
And at the end of his lecture, he turned the podium over to a Virginia State Trooper who actually agreed with all 8 reasons the professor gave.
Especially, the point of "A cop will ALWAYS testify against you, they can't testify for you" & "It's legal for police to lie to you"

I completely agree with your commentary! Allowing a search/speaking to police says more about someone's education about the legal system than it does about their guilt or innocence. Guilty people have allowed police to search their vehicles just because they thought being cooperative would favor them and innocent people have not cooperated to protect their privacy etc. And of course there have been innocent people who have hurt their legal interests by speaking. Just off the top of my head, the guy who was suckered into housing Sherri Papini when she hoaxed her own kidnapping could have really dug himself a hole when he spoke to the police. They could have used a lot of what he said against him even though we now know he is 100% innocent of kidnapping her.

Something I haven’t seen mentioned: Ruby said that the son she was making accusations against was watching p*rn at the age of 3, already. If that were true, its an indictment against _her_ , not against her child! How did he come to have access to it? It certainly wouldn’t have been a turn on at that age; it would likely have been confusing, if anything, and a decent parent who discovered their child was exposed to p* would have done everything in their power to ensure that their child wasn’t in a position to be exposed to it again. She seemed to be suggesting that he went looking for it, and it reflected some deep-seated evil within him!

Maybe that is why she constantly tried to "eliminate" the husbands from the relationship. Also, Ruby made a comment that she was just sooooo happy that Jodi was with her in jail. This woman basically got u arrested bc of the "treatment" she was using on ur kids, and your HAPPY that u and her are jail "buddies"?!?! If proven guilt by a jury of their peers, then they deserve each other. They can live happily ever after in PRISON for the rest of their lives. All I got to say is that in any prison, child abuse is something that if convicted will make others appalled and furious. I watched that interview and I feel like horrific doesn't even do it justice. What disturbed me almost more than the abuse that poor child had to go through was the sheer number of people who were actively involved or just complacent in letting it happen.
The minions Jodi had involved in ensuring Jessi was as miserable and isolated as possible, and the police who casually handed them back into Jodi's "care" even after they begged to be saved from that monster.
And worst of all, Jessi's parents who signed off not just on the original placement with Jodi but heard what the police said and let them be sent back anyway.
It was just an endless nightmare and that person is incredibly strong to be functional as a human being at all after enduring that.
I agree with what Jessi said about the current situation---they were a teenager throughout that ordeal and Jodi still nearly broke them and in some ways succeed. A small child like Ruby's son would have no defenses against her.
No wonder he said it's his fault that he was tied up and tortured. And yet there are disgusting "people" who have locked onto that sentence from an abused and child as proof he did the things Ruby accused him of 🤬.
      Absolutely unreal.

Jodi is a very sick person. I think she's going to be the one to turn on Ruby though because in the end these are Ruby's kids, & Jodi is that type of person. She's a dangerous narcissist. They blame everyone else. They can never be at fault. Prosecution will get one of them to turn so that they can be sure to indict the other. But publicly they're both finished, and who knows if Ruby will ever be allowed to be alone with those children ever.

@@vickimaccallumvlogs Thanks for letting me know that I reverted to "she/her". I didn't mean to do that. It can get a little confusing because there is no gender neutral noun for "niece/nephew" - "nibbling" perhaps?

@@brandonwilliams4050 Thanks for pointing out how many people were complicit in Jessi's abuse. Some may take exception to this, but Mormon culture is what allowed Jessi's abuse to occur. They have little tolerance for teenagers that question things and want to participate in activities that are actually normal for teens. Also, everyone - especially clergy - is into everyone else's business. I heard that kids as young as twelve have to meet with their bishop (all by themselves!) and confess their "sins". The bishop actually questions them about sexual behavior! It's disgusting!

Thank you very much for addressing the comment about she should not have stayed silent. It is the Cardinal rule for every anyone who's ever been in trouble or questioned by the police that even if you're innocent you can still end up in a heap of trouble so it's best to you to shut and talk through your lawyer.

I LOVE IT, Peter!!! Disagree some more with Bill Chew! Smart people heed the advice to be quiet and request an/your attorney! Even the most innocent of comments can be turned into making a person look sketchy, if not guilty by a good prosecutor!

THANK YOU for acknowledging that it’s not wrong or suspicious to lawyer-up whether or not you’re innocent. It rubbed me the wrong way when they where going over that

It is suspicious though. Remember the Laundries. It’s one thing to lawyer up, but people who prioritize self-protection often engage in other selfish behavior. A decent person’s first instinct isn’t to protect themselves. Especially a parent in the context of their child being abused.

    • @365ginger101
      @365ginger101 8 місяців тому +1

@@pnwlady sure, I agree that it is suspicious. But I guess what I meant is that it shouldn’t be. It shouldn’t imply some level of guilt. Rather, it should be a normalized, smart choice. Even if you’re so blatantly guilty, get a lawyer. If you’re innocent, definitely get a lawyer. Talking to cops without a lawyer is a bad idea. It should be suspicious if you don’t get a lawyer and act like you can talk your way out of an interrogation.

I am so glad you pulled up on the being judged for lawyering up before talking to the police, it's comments like that which stir up gossip , I don't even confirm my name when ever I had been grilled over alleged charges I faced in my younger years , always pled not guilty and had a lawyer speak for me as much as possible, I don't have to prove my innocence , they have to prove my guilt so the less you say the better,, love your channel mate it's rad!!
