Much appreciated comment Donald, was a bit worried we would get some flack for this video as the searches on UA-cam and the comments seem to demonize this fish so glad you share the same experience and thoughts as us on this fish :)
believe it or not I think these are the fastest moving fish we have ever kept (only when they are spooked though otherwise they are pretty "glide around") Hope your keeping well bud!!
@Aquadiction that makes sense. It looks like they're built for speed, I guess when they need it. Things are going OK. Thsnks for asking. Hope yall are staying well 💓
@@FishRfun thanks man, appreciate it and your support has def helped us on our way!!! Oddly though the amount we make with 25k is about the same as we were making with 9k, about £85 per month haha! Good job we aren't doing it for the money or we would be miffed by now haha!!
Hey fyi I'm going to have dual citizenship with the UK and the states soon. Me and my best friend who's from Southampton are going to play sone golf in Scotland and roam the area she grew up at. It would be amazing to see yalls fish room if we're close to yall. Assuming that's something yall would consider. We're probably talking years from now but things could change quickly. I'm chatting with her now. She lives in Houston TX which is where I'm moving back to and we'll be living together. She was the number 1 junior golfer in England when she got a full golf scholarship at the University we attended and that's how we met. We had a ton of the same philosophy classes along with comparative religions, logic, and ethics. We became instant best friends. About how far from Southampton are yall?
Sounds really not like a fish for me with destroying plants. If I want stripes id go personally got tiger barbs, clown loach and L397. The tiger barbs i find really misunderstood. When kept with like 12 they're Soo fun and don't bother anyone. Also the clown loaches will often swim with them aswell. 😊
Yea not a good choice for a planted tank haha! I think Tiger barbs suffer from the same problem, if you put them with the wrong tank mates (Angelfish) you can have problems but its the case for soo many species!! Appreciate the support!!
You know I’ve kept one of these for a few months now and have a planted aquarium. I see it picking off dying parts of the plant but that’s it. I keep Valesneria and another more thin leafed plant. Just don’t keep this one with small snails or shrimp. They eat them up
I've had a few of these in my time, they seem like dogs, some are jerks some aren't. I currently have a good sized Rainbow shark that's very well mannered. Great vid.
@@JuniorCrute-ht7ss in terms of getting along? You may find the Gourami's don't get on so well and the less dominant one will need some hiding places but other than that don't see a problem! hope that helps?
@JuniorCrute-ht7ss haha that would be a good video! My guess is the gourami wouldn’t mess with the festivum cichlid, I could be wrong though as we have never tried it but I think they would both hold their own and leave each other alone! I’ve always kept a red tail and rainbow shark together, they figure it out between themselves and kinda leave each other alone after working stuff out

Well done video. I had a Leporinus many years ago and never had any problems with him. The key is what tankmates they have as you said.

Very beautiful!! For a sleek, streamlined fish reminiscent of a denison barb, it appears to be slower moving and deliberate

That's a good point Chuck, you can get fish with generally good and bad attitudes with many species!!
@@Aquadiction a male gold Gourami and female Opaline Gourami and 1 single male festivum cichlid. What's your thoughts
Excellent profile on these species ...
I have seen larger species kept with piranha.
Well done
Thank you very much Chris, we always appreciate your support of our little spotlights! :) Hi to Mrs Stubbs, love you guys!!!!
