    Enjoyed your talk. I am 50 years older than you, and spent my whole life like you describe. When people who stayed home and worked the same thing all their lives say that they wish they could do what I do. I just tell them anyone can do this you just have to be happy to sleep under trees and at times go hungry. It is fear and discomfort that holds people back. But, for me, my fear is of the opposite. I am afraid of having a boss I have to get up and obey everyday.

      Julie you are my S-HERO! I'm 50 years old and still get up daily, hit the clock and hate my boss. Sorry but he's an asshole! I want to walk away soooo bad. This is not for me anymore. Maybe when I was younger but definitely not now that I'm older. The stress is killing me...I admire you for being FREE!!

      @julie mignard Would you mind me asking if you have children? I feel like this life is amazing, I personally did it from 18-25. But now I've reached that age bracket where people are starting to look down on me for still being such a free spirit. I know that if I want children (which I do) then it's not always feasible to live this life. Children need security, routine, a stable income. So I'm always wondering how other free spirits manage this?

    • @julieisthatart
      @julieisthatart 3 роки тому +30

      @@sorchx Oh yes, I could not have done this with children, you are absolutely right. However, it can be done. It takes a very special couple to do it. There has to be a cooperation and trust between the parents that is absolutely solid. The children then get the security and stability they need from the fearlessness and commitment of their family unit. I personally know such a family with five children. They did this in the past, the parents have passed and the children are retirement age. I have watched a family on UA-cam who seem to be doing well. I tried to find the link for you, but sorry, I failed. If you are so lucky as to find the right relationship, it is possible. Children for sure need security, but they don't really know what your income is. As long as you and your spouse are secure with each other and know how to feed the kids, you can. Oh yes, I almost forgot to say. You also need to not be bothered by what people think of you. The only thing that really matters is what you think of your spouse, and he you.

      Interesting responses, I read them all. Being held back by fear is one thing but there are different fears. Like...what if she fell down those rocks and broke a leg? Or a shady individual latches onto young? No one is there and you're far from your own vehicle, etc. I guess people conquer those fears or accept that the worst may very well happen? I dunno. But I don't think everyone has the instincts, resourcefulness, grit, whatever you want to call it, to live this way - although they may not admit it, lol.

      @@r.peebles3290 According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, every year about 235,000 people over age 15 visit emergency rooms because of injuries suffered in the bathroom, and almost 14 percent are hospitalized. More than a third of the injuries happen while bathing or showering. Does this make you fearful of taking a shower?

    I was an orphan by choice, starting at (5) years old. They said I was adventurous, but I just enjoyed the people I met in the outside world as opposed to hanging with my stressed out family. By (17) I was gone for good and I would never trade having traveled all over the US, Canada, England, Ireland, Germany, the Netherlands, Australia and New Zealand.
    Hannah is discovering her world before she gets too many responsibilities or loses her mobility.
    I met someone when I was (39) years old, and we have been happily married for (22) years. She taught me about happy families and now I have no desire to roam. But when you get to know yourself and discover the qualities you want in a mate, you have a strong foundation to love another fully and completely.

    Drove the 31 hours to MN, and have been here (also for college and what not) since 2015. And now I’m itching to move back to the west coast (Oregon maybe?) but I have scratched that itch momentarily by traveling the Midwest, as well as even as far south as Kentucky for the bourbon trail!

And they fall, a broken leg, a sprained ankle. No clue if you have good cell phone reception where you're at there, or any at all. I have looked into the satellite telephones, the phone's are not extremely expensive, the cost for a minute to use them or like maybe three or four dollars a minute sometimes, perhaps even higher but there again you don't say that unless you must use it and that's only in an emergency situation. If you lose cell phone connection very awesome in your travel, a satellite telephone might be well worth investigating. :-)

    I see this is an older video but I just came across your channel. You were saying how you enjoy shopping and selling clothes. My friend used to go to thrift shops and yard sales. You cannot imagine the amount of designer stuff she would come across. She sold it on EBay and made pretty good money. BTW...Love your home! Stay safe!

    i am now 65 but my life goal was travel, see the as much of the world as possible. I married at 25 and have 2 awesome kids. one who lives his dream in Yosemite. My goal has always been make $ = travel. I, too, have worked the oddest of jobs even when the kids were young. Smelling peoples breath for a mouthwash study was one.. My kids are explorers; when they were teens we would look at one another and say - “we need a road trip!” and we would plan it. Today my husband of 40 plus years travel in our RV; last year the west won our hearts! Boondocking where ever, eating healthy, hiking. We now have two grandboys by our daughter and we are teaching them the life of exploring, Florida springs, Arizona back country..Cleators Yarcht Club and panning for gold in the the depths nearby..
    My motto,: With a full tank of gas anything is possible. Thank you for your feed! Come spring we hope to be off to CD,

    You have done lots of interesting things. My life has been like that too. Now nearing 60 I look back at my life and it seems I have lived many different life’s. The egg donation is a blessing for people. That’s awesome. I just hate I’m disabled now. I actually couldn’t live your life. I go through 24/7 pain and I have to do injections and see doctor twice a month. I think my husband and I are going on a year round trip with our huskies. I just need to make sure I can see my doctors. And that’s not easy. Before I got sick I never sit down. I was very active so I have severe anxiety now that I can’t do so much. Live while you have the ability to get around. I got sick in my 40s. And by 47 I was totally disabled. It’s hereditary. I was just in denial. Once I got the diagnosis I have felt better about things. I’m getting treated and feel better. My days are still difficult. My husband is now home with me full time. He went back to school to learn a new job so he can be with me. This disease has changed the life of everyone close to me, and it is why I live youtube so much. I get to see places I can’t get to. Like the top of a mountain. Thank you Hannah. Be safe out there! Leslye

    Unfortunately no, not everyone can. I would absolutely love to live this way, but having a lot of health issues, it wouldn't be feasible. I have treatments, meds, doctors appointments, medical issues that don't allow me to properly regulate my body temperature so overheating happens frequently, needing reliable access to a bathroom, etc.

    Hi Hannahn wow what an emotional ending to a video, great song and great piece of editing, like part of a movie. It was very touching had to watch few times. You were saying it,s not for everyone and people romanticise about doing it themselves because they only see the glamourous you tube parts and when you said that you didn,t believe them I think you were right because if someone really wants to do something they,ll find a way, if they really don,t want to do something they;ll find an excuse. I bet people say to you oh you,re so lucky. but its not luck you are making it happen so come on chin up.
    Also.i felt like it was you being honest and true to yourself, and courageous enough to share and it did seem like you were having a reality check on going through difficult times to be where you are today.
    On top of that saying if there.s anyone you can offer help to or clarify anything you are always there for them how noble, well I tell you hannah we are always here for you.

    Of all your videos I think that this one earns you the most respect, especially from me. Not many young people have your determination and unwillingness to compromise yourself. It is all too easy for the weak-willed youth of today to call themselves 'influencers' (i.e. parasites) and become self-parodies when an ounce of self-respect would teach them far better. Well done you for avoiding that easy route and being the amazing person you are. I wish you every success in your life and dreams!

    I have an idea for you, I just looked at your d pop account. You have amazing modeling talent!! Some of the clothing was hard to get a good look at tho due to wrinkles. I have no desire to iron, as I spent alot of my life as a nomad like you. But, you can remove wrinkles so easily. Febreze or some water with a touch of fabric softener in a bottle will take the wrinkles right out. Just spray, wipe away wrinkles, or tug them out by pulling gently at edges. Hope this helps your sales!

A little off my current path & the pay suggested seems unimpressive. I am at a different on-site pinnacle. WITHOUT reasonable pay. As in new hires with no experience make more. And mores hours, etc. But the demand is there. It’s worth a look.

    Fun fact about alcohol many don't know, it metabolizes as a sugar. It's good to remember to replace the sugars your body is accustomed to from the alcohol with other high concentration sugars, (side note here Pedialyte, brand name, served cold is great for hangover recovery) for example Dumb Dumbs (suckers). When I decided I'd had enough of my daily drinking (a few years) I bought a couple of large bags of suckers and ate them all day every day. While I didn't drink I did go the bar and visit with friends, ate food, drank club soda (salty) and ate sucker after sucker, I'd always bring more than I needed. This strategy worked, I felt more normal, as in not so antsy jittery and irritable, than if I didn't drink that day. It was the sugar withdrawal I was experiencing. Anyway, I may enjoy a (1) outstanding craft quality drink once or twice a year. And I'm regaining my health, slowly, from the damage I did (blood pressure, weight gain etc). Just thought I'd share this because I, like you very much enjoyed the grape, the grain and the beer.

    Thanks for sharing this. Egg donations are not talked about, and I think it's because most people's mindset is that Every female MUST want to have/make babies. 😐 However, no one batts an eye at sperm donations. Another thing you can donate is blood and plasma if needles don't squick you out (I faint, lol!). I'm glad you figured out how to get what you want out of life - legally. Keep doing You. Stay safe and may Angels watch over you.

    • @kawaiiksmr8308

      I think it's because women have a limited number of eggs whereas men have an unlimited amount of sperm they keep making more so their donation is kind of nothing...not saying I agree I'm gonna donate my eggs one day but I can't lie and say that there ARE women who do something to their bodies and then regret it later. But life is a risk I guess

    • @SoulDevoured
      @SoulDevoured 4 роки тому +3

      @@kawaiiksmr8308 there's not much of a risk. Practices limit to 6 donations for each woman with 15 eggs harvested.
      A woman had thousands of eggs with only a few hundred being ovulated in her lifetime. The risk of over harvesting is early menopause but the limitations make that really unlikely. If you're max you might hit menopause one or two years earlier than you otherwise might.
      For the most part risk for women comes from messing with hormones in order to make that many eggs viable. I wouldn't do it cuz my hormonal cycle is already screwed.
      But I'm just saying you're not going to run out of potential babies in your prime baby making years.

    • @SoulDevoured
      @SoulDevoured 4 роки тому +1

      @@kawaiiksmr8308 I think it's easier for men to talk about because 1. Men just generally talk more freely about their bodily functions and 2. All he has to do is go into a private room and masturbate into a cup and then he's out. It's more complicated for women and thus more difficult to explain briefly and simply.

    Hannah, i have a bit of a sensitive question for you, woman to woman; first off this video is so transparent and helpful, im really inspired. Ive always been an independent and do/fix/ make it yourself person and had the dream to venture off on my own. But as a twenty-something young woman I have a fear about my safety and sexual wellbeing. I know it doesn’t always happen but it’s statistically significant to be targeted by predators or ill-intentended people as a young woman traveling alone. Would you be able to share any tips on how you keep your fears at bay, any safety things you have implemented or any bad experiences you may be willing to share to pass on the lesson learned? I know this is a sensitive matter, but I think it’s very important for those like me who seriously consider this lifestyle as a young woman. Thanks so much! Im really thankful to have found your page and I hope you are doing well :)
