Can we take a moment to appreciate the effort she goes through to get these shots? Like the shots of her climbing from far away must be tough to do because I imagine she has to climb back to the camera and do the climb all over again. Top tier impressive
That line “What a life; you can pull over whenever you want” really hit me, probably more than it should have. You can always stop for a beat, take a breath, and just enjoy the view. You’re alive with both feet on the ground (or sometimes the deck on top of your van), and you can always take a moment to just breathe. You can pull over whenever you want. 🚐🌅
This comment hit me hard 🤍🤍🤍 thank you for sharing that 🙏🏼
You don't have to be swept along with the tide, "you can pull over whenever you want"
I started balling my eyes out.
That line brought tears to my eyes. Spoke volumes. PREACH. IT. 🙌
I agree with you completely.
The fact that they have to set-up the camera, climb up,climb down, get the camera and then repeat the process...
So grateful ✨🦋💚

I was thinking the same thing, Kosmik. I paused and appreciated how much work goes into Hannah’s content, and other creatives. The money should be there because it’s earned. I keep coming back here because of the authenticity. Much respect for those on this life path. It’s not something anyone could or would do, they’re a special breed.
Loved your cow encounter and the fact that you fixed the fence! You’re a beautiful person Hannah Lee!
Can we just appreciate the fact that Hannah climbs up rocks to set up camera, then films herself climbing down and then climbs back up to get the camera. 👏🏽👏🏽 Wow sis, that’s awesome!! 👊🏽
Was thinking the same thing
I can pull over whenever I want. I'm crying. I've lost my mom this year and now my dad has cancer. I want to pull over and now I know I can. Thank you Hannah. You have no idea how much you teach us.
I know exactly what you mean and the life you’re living! My mom passed away earlier this year… my dad is in a rehab facility, and you know having a loved one in the hospital these days is very scary. Being a caregiver to both parents is hard hard work. My heart goes out to you!
Sending you lots of love.
Sending love♥️♥️♥️
@@AngelSoft15 Thank you. I'm sorry for your loss and hope your Dad gets better. It really is a tough time in life.
@@Courtney6 Thank you. I appreciate it.
“What a life, you can pull over anytime you want “ that is so much deeper then you intended it to be 🌅
My comment exactly!
I came to say the same thing!!! 💜💜
And we should.
Agreed.
She really is one of the ones that makes vanlife seem so doable, but I think it's her ability to roll with the punches and appreciate the good parts that pulls us all in💕
I love that, “You can pull over whenever you want!” I am going on a trip this month. I am driving 12 hours to a place I love and I plan to pull over and enjoy the view whenever I want!
Yes and take pictures always! Pulling over to take pics is sooo underrated!
That’s an awful lot of I’s. Have a safe trip! 🙂
I felt the "everybody else is driving 80 mph". I was a flight attendant for almost 25 years and felt the same even after all that time when I was the only one looking out the window on takeoff, landing, with a beautiful sunset out the windows and everybody else had their noses buried in their phones. Hey! Let's look at the beautiful sunset my friend posted on instagram rather than looking out and seeing a real one right here in person! I bet Hannah is a window-seat person.
@@jpfly66 Amen, so true! I used to document everything on adventures but quickly learned that I ended up missing out on the adventure while trying to capture it. Now I just use my photos/vids to document huge progress or something that stops me in my tracks and makes me go, "WOW."
I'm not Nomad anymore but I still make sure to take the time to pull over whenever I want, no matter where/when I am. Always take time to; smell the flowers, hug/climb the trees, take the road less travelled and be sure to enjoy the journey, not just the destination.
@starflower703 Have a great trip!
omggg these mountains T-T so gorgeous
AFWGSGGHWS I WATCH YOUR VIDEOS TOO
They're gorgeous indeed , she reminds me of the guy in that movie " 72 hours " I think it's the name , how adventurous mountain hike🚶♀️👣😍🙏🏼
Oops! WD40 will actually remove any grease in the hinges. They'll work for a while, then get worse than they are now. Instead, use silicon spray or even lightweight oil, like 4in1, which comes in a tiny, flat metal can - great for storing in Walter's glove box.
Hey, also, RE snakes: When you're walking in grass especially, aim for clearings and carry a long stick to disturb the grass in your path. Snakes like "cover' from raptors and don't like open areas. They are also sensitive to motion, like a walking stick. Better to entertain a snake strike on your walking stick than on your shin!
Boots?
Oh, this week I sprayed my screened door hinges. Wish I’d known sooner.
Great advice
Thank you for great tips/advice
They look like Palladiums, my guess

This video made me weirdly emotional. I’m from little old England and I was just thinking about what it would have been like hundreds of years ago to look upon the sublime wilderness of North America. So vast and varied.
Damn you right
Yes. Even here in little old Missouri. :)
Come to upstate NY. It's still wild. A lot of America is.
As a Texas ranchers wife, I am so stinkin proud of you fixin that fence! Beautiful scenery. Thanks!
Hannah has such a wholesome relationship with the natural world. I'm convinced she's the closest representation we'll get of a 'young Mother Nature before she was mother.'
Love that!
You need to meet more people.
@@illex759 No, I don't.
@@illex759 😅
If people acted more like you, this world would be a very pleasant place. I love that you fixed the fence! So kind!
💜💙💜💙
Most people wouldn't even notice anything awry sadly. And I have to say, I love your name, gave me a chuckle.
I hope that when you're hiking especially when you're climbing rocks like that solo that you're at the very least carrying a plb (personal locator beacon). Something like an inReach. That way if something happens you can get help to you. It just makes me nervous at the thought that you could fall and help would be a long time coming.
I hope Hannah has something like that, too. We had a young man on Kauai go missing recently. He planned to camp and hike on Kauai.... until now no one knows what happened to him.
Exactly!!
@@20085238 Please update us when they locate him. Praying for someone to find him and keep him safe.
I just bought one, it’s a nice sense of security to have when out of cell service.
I agree. I was thinking if you fall and break your ankle or leg would anyone know where to find you. I hope you always tell someone where you are and if you don’t check in they know to send help. Otherwise I love your videos so beautiful 😍
You fixing the fence was one of the nicest sweetest gestures, to protect cows and help the owners. We need more people in the world like you!!
So true
The more I look the more I notice good people all around me, they’re actually everywhere. It’s overwhelming sometimes, I didn’t see them when I was younger, or I stopped looking. Anyway I’m looking now and it fills me with hope.

@@armslength2618 hard to tell just from this video, but it looked like it was just one wire out of place and the cow could squeeze through, also Hannah indicated it led straight out to the roads so likely a good call.
“What a life, you can pull over whenever you want” that was so beautifully said 🥺💞
The ultimate, "pause," button. ❤️
“You can pull over whenever you want.” I’m going to be saying this to myself a lot. ❤️
Wow, who would have thought, I can pull over whenever I want.
I love that you get emotional when you see how amazing and breathtaking nature is. You truly show how much you feel thankful to experience such beauty.💜💜
God creation is so beautiful
I feel like being on adventures alone makes it much more surreal and magical!! Wish I could live in a van and just explore places

You dont have to live in a van to do that. Get in your car one weekend and hit the road!! Even a day trip with no destination and mind can be pretty cool.
I love you Hannah. You are nourishment for my soul. I honestly don't have patience for half hour or nearly half hour videos, but when they're yours I could sit for hours. Your spirit is intoxicating and joy contagious. You are a true gift to this world!! ❤🙌😭
"What a life" that's exactly what I was thinking! My daughter and fam are moving to Cheyenne Wyoming in October. Never been there. Where you went is heavenly gorgeous! Glad you took off again for awhile. 💕
Cheyenne is nice. Very flat and very windy..always. Only two hours north of Denver, it's great being so close to Colorado. I used to live in Golden Colorado, and went up for Cheyenne Frontier Days in July...awesome!! ❤🤠🌞
Cheyenne is a very nice place.

Hi montanamtngirl, I’m thinking of moving to Montana! Do you currently live there, and if so, do you like it and any recommendations? Thx
god Hannah is such a gem fixing the fence 🥺 kind people make me so happy
7:23 it’s nice too see cows somewhat free in the wild, chilling eating grass
Oklahoma and Texas are also grand for "cow watching".
This was the most beautiful vlog. I don't understand how anyone could give it a thumbs down. The words you said, I can't get them out of my head.
i love it how hannah records parts where she's like, walking away. and then she puts in the part where she's coming back to get the camera hahahaha
Yeah she was making me nervous climbing those rocks all alone and knowing she was doing it all twice to go back to get the camera, though!
I know right! I worry for her so much.
Yeah, that had to have been a LOT of work on this one… wow!
@@jpfly66 agree!!
I know. Also if she's never been there before, I worry about her getting lost
This is what Gabby wanted to do 😔 with all this going on right now I hope it's a reminder to stay safe out there 🙏💜 always let someone know where you're at and keep in contact with people 😁 love your videos 🥰
Amazing Hannah: fixes fences, awesome rock climbing skills, filmmaker, expert van rooftop chef, and with everything she does a sense of wonder and adventure.
She's a treasure 😚 x x
I freaking loved your reaction to seeing the sun setting behind the mountains! I share your pure happiness of seeing a beautiful sunset and so grateful we get to enjoy it(virtually) with you.
Well there's your merch t-shirt "You can pull over whenever you want!" 😅🥰 The views of the sunset and you by the lake are just divine!
"Divine" is a lovely word to describe this video ... Our little lovely cow rescuer is divine in so many ways ...
Agreed. Great shirt idea
Imagine how hard it is to film this alone. She's climbing up a rocky mountain and then gets back to pick up the camera, just to serve us scenic views. Always appreciate you Hannah! Be safe. Also good to see you back in the van! 💚
I was thinking the same thing! Leaving the camera to walk forward… only to walk back and come get us(the camera)… then the editing part for us to enjoy! Omg
As a mother of 3, I watch these videos with anxiety and can only imagine that your mother does as well. As if living alone in the woods is not adventurous enough, you trek all over the country searching for those remote sunsets. A young, beautiful girl alone in the wilderness. What could go wrong??? I know you are a smart girl, but I strongly advise that you do these hikes with a buddy. No one would find you for days if you slipped and seriously hurt yourself. Otherwise, I applaud your fearless free spirit. You are truly an inspiration for many of us, so please stay safe Hannah! (Okay, momma rant over.)
I feel the same way. Also a mother of three . Two young adults and one teen. I love her adventures and fearless personality. Wish I was able to be like her. I wasn't trying to be negative but wish she would put in extra locks on the inside of van. And was thinking the same about what if something went wrong while she was hiking. Girl get a hiking buddy. ❤
I was thinking something very similar. I admire the way Hannah seems to live her life, but cringe at the apparent lack of basic safety. At least learn martial arts! And even this wouldn't help her if she slipped and broke an ankle in the middle of nowhere, where she already knows she has no phone signal to raise any alarm. I'm not being negative here, but safety issues need to be considered always.
I too cringe at the lack of basic safety☹️
I agree with everyone here, I admire her fearless spirit but want her to be safe. I would guess her mom and sister have told her the same but in the end Hannah is her own person and will do what works for her. She could very well be communicating with people, as to her whereabouts, when she's traveling. We don't know everything that goes on in the background and I've often been impressed with how she's handled many situations. I'm sure she does consider people's input and applies the things that resonate with her. I'll keep good thoughts for her safety and continue to enjoy her videos.
Agree, especially when she goes to a lot of places where service is not working, family wouldn’t know if she’s just hanging out and okay or something happened.. I hope she has a solution for her safety!
As some one who lives in Wyoming so happy to see people like you enjoying the land and the animals❤️❤️
You fixing that fence made my day...
Oh m Lord, the scenery is so beautiful! I think this may be one of your best videos. Thank you so much for sharing the beauty of the mountains and the sunset with us. Seeing you happy makes me happy! Love you Hannah!
Lovely video again Hannah. I'm a 50-year old mom from the Netherlands and I've been following you a long while now. My country is soooo full of roads, cities, people, buildings, not much nature and wide fields and no mountains like your country. I'm emigrating (hopefully in the next 6 months) to a country where there is lots of space and nature, mountains and great views and I fully intend to enjoy it like you. We want to buy a campervan and make memories. Thanks for giving so much inspiration, cause that's what you do. Be safe and I wish you lots more great adventures. 💕

The amount of effort you give in your videos is inspiring, everything about your videos is that way tbh
Cause obviously these videos have a lot of ''help'. They seem to be a psy-op to promote some sort of new feminism .. to trick women into wanting something that they really don't.

I've been devastated by Ida that gives me a new appreciation for your life. Life without power sucks. Just got it back today. Can't wait for internet so I can catch up on your episodes.
Flashbacks to Hannah dropping the spaghetti while straining it. This time she could have dropped it from the roof of the van lol
I thought of that too and started laughing. That is one of my favorite moments from her channel.
I thought I was only one thinking about that 🤣
We ALL were thinking it!! LOL
And I too laughed remembering the dropped spaghetti scene! My friend was draining the pasta, and accidentally dropped it in the sink. Of course it was the disposal side, with no stopper in, and down it went!!! Hannah came to my thoughts immediately, I had a good laugh with my friend!!! Was great to be back with Walter and the world!!!
Not her first Rodeo!=8)
Can we all just commend Hannah for having tidy looking bangs on the road? I can’t even keep bangs looking nice with all the amenities of sticks and bricks.
It’s her super power.
About the Omaze sponsor deal: The Honnold foundation is pretty much the coolest cause you could donate to. It was founded by free solo climber Alex Honnold and their main mission is to get solar power to poor communities and fight climate change
That was cool that she went for a climb for the video too. Nice tie in of it was intentional.
Awesome!

So glad you found enjoyment, in my great state of South Dakota. That was so sweet, how you were concerned about the cows getting out and then fixing their fence. I could definitely see you pure happiness at the end, with that stunning sunset. Great video Hannah!!
Definitely go to the Grand Tetons in Wyoming! A ton of free camping and most amazing mountains full of all kinds of animals!
I just moved away from that area after 6 years. It has some stunning hikes and sights, but if you go in the summer or winter there are FAR too many vans and tourists. Go in the fall or spring! Also, there is a lot of free parking but cops are pretty picky about how long you can stay places.

You are an amazing young woman! ❤️ I'm 56 and finally living in my van the way I've always wanted to. You're doing it now! I hope other young people get inspired to follow their dreams too ❤️🚙🇨🇦
Good for you! I'm 55 and hope people realize that age, alone, should never stop you from being adventurous. Cows are unbelievably smart. They constantly break out of the back pasture behind my house and I'll look out the kitchen window and there's one standing in my front yard.... But they're just so sweet.
This is one of the most beautiful videos ever. I’ve been following you since you only had a few subscribers, and I enjoy all your videos. I especially love watching you fix up your home at the cottage. But, I started following you because of van life and I have always loved videos like this. I remember when you built out Walter.
Yup. That’s when I first “met” Hannah. When she had bought a hunk of junk van full of work shelving and grease and turned it into Walter!!

These are the memories which create the building blocks to your life!!!! You are doing EVERYTHING right, sweet Hannah!!!!! MUCH MUCH LOVE TO YOU!!!!!
Much appreciation for every hike Hannah takes and has to do each part twice, once to set the camera up, and again to retrieve it. All for our viewing pleasure. And people think UA-cam is a job for the lazy. This is cinematic mastery. ❤️🌄
I've been watching your videos horribly out of order, simply thanks to youtube suggesting that I'd like all of them (they're right), but the thing that is constant and timeless is your enthusiasm for enjoying the beauty of life and exploration. You are inspirational, thanks. 🙂

Glad to see you in another new video. Please do me a favor. As the father of 3 daughters and 7 granddaughters who are all very independently minded and who all believe that they can do anything, much like yourself, please be careful in your adventures. Keep some sort of self-defense weapon with you all the time, especially when you are out and about all by yourself. Beautiful ending! ‘You can pull over when ever you want’ ❤️
Brought tears to my eyes. Ready for this!
The antelope you saw are in fact Pronghorn! They're an ancient species of bovid that is actually more closely related to giraffes than to deer or other antelopes. They're pretty prolific in Wyoming, and migrate around the greater Yellow Stone region.
Ohhhh! I didn’t know that “ancient” part about the Pronghorns! I am fascinated by prehistoric hold outs - like musk oxen! Now that you mentioned it, pronghorn antelope do have a Dino look about them!

Musk oxen are more closely related to goats than ox or cows!

Hannah...Love your vids. You know you can wear eye masks to block out all light and they don't cost much. Good to have for times like when you have to sleep in bright light or sun during the day. I traveled in van (a step van equipped about the same as yours...no toilet or shower , but sink and stove and cooler. I loved it . My days were a lot like yours . Even had some time with cows in a spot almost exactly as that one!....It was so many years ago and i did it for almost a year and off and on for 10. .so i can really appreciate watching these for what they remind me of. It is totally indescribable what it is like to have no schedule, no set plan and just go where want to and when want to and be able to stop for a sunrise and just watch it. It was some of the best years of my life. I never knew i could be so happy even all by myself. Everyone should take at at least a year off when younger instead of waiting for retirement. It changes the whole rest of your life and every decision after that.

Not only did you just climb a mountain, you climbed it twice, for us and your exquisite footage and I can't thank you enough for sharing it! Any wonder you stay tiny, lol. It appears you, and Walter, really needed this to recharge your batteries and work out the kinks, good for you. And the cows, too friggin' funny!! Nope, I can't see the farmers kicking you out of there, you just saved the day with that fence line run and roundup and should be on the payroll, haha! If you'd followed that trail, you'd probably find that it goes right around the pasture's perimeter. Cows make lovely road trip companions and can offer up some beautiful cinematography.
And bless your heart, no great way to start your journey. Kudos to Gram for the AAA idea though, Murphy's law reigns supreme around here too. And I have to say, even the breakdown footage was pretty and entertaining.
The parallels in this video are SO epic to your journey. Is the grass really greener on the other side? Who says you can't have your spaghetti and eat it too?
