I have a daughter who is your age and alot like you. So the mom in me gets anxiety sometimes, well alot of the time watching your van life. But the hippy in me, envious of your ability to experience the simple FREEDOM OF IT ALL. You have created such a tranquil peaceful environment. Just beautiful. I'm sick with cancer and terrible diabetes due to the cancer and unfortunately I can't indulge in this way of living. I so would love to. Thank you Hannah for allowing me to experience it. You are such a free spirit always remain true to that !!!
Oh no! Sending prayers ur way! 🙏🏾🙏🏾Please keep that “hippy” mentality! That support will mean the world to ur daughter! I know my mom’s support does to me! I too am grateful for h Hannah in sharing ur experience today! I’m in the planning phase of my build and have been deciding between going 2 wheel or 4 wheel drive! This video definitely gave me some perspective!
Hi Rachel, Sorry your health isn't good as it should be.... Your body is very acidic and ur foods.. Turn your body "Alkaline" and all your disease will go away.. It's very easy to do.. Watch a few youtube videos how to turn my body Alkaline...That's how i healed myself from Crohn's disease... Junk food taste good but make you sick/cancer later on.. Good Luck to you girl....
Honestly, after romanticizing van life for way too long, THIS IS MY FAVORITE VAN LIFE VIDEO EVER. I really enjoyed the struggle. You handled it well. I low key imagine this makes up more of van life than the cool lake shots and vegan meals on the beach. You're doing the thang. Don't let anything dim your shine Hannah.
Yeah, me too! I so enjoyed this one. I had been wondering when Hannah would be getting antsy and head back into the wilderness again. That too. Hannah needs her "nature fix" from time to time. (We all do, except most of us aren't even aware of it. Me, my nature fix right now is rehabbing an incredible smart pigeon who looks like shit - because she has lost a ton of feathers; she looks like a plucked chicken when she's had a bath - but has a royal personality that knocks you over. Had a lot of fun with her today, LOL.)
" here we are...together....eating soggy vegetables" . Single most genuine van life statement of 2020, and I thank you for it. Great job of perseverance for the whole world to see
What you need is a sailboat. More room and a shower and full kitchen and 5 beds to sleep in and lots of headroom for the same price as that Dampervan, The good thing about sailing is you have WiFi, shower room, Washing room and security all in with the price when you come into a berth, And no bacon harassment to move on all the time.
Elizabeth Carver -I laughed so hard as well. 😂 between the bumpy road and her bouncing all about and the stuff falling and rolling all about just had me laughing so hard.😂
"It was a different kind of day, and I'm okay with that. I'm sure tomorrow will be better." This is now my mantra for when life doesn't go as I anticipated. Thank you for sharing your journey, Hannah!
I was feeling really down about a lot of things today and it made me feel better to see an imperfect day, so although it was most definitely a hassle going down those bumpy roads, it did make one person feel a little better.. if that's any consolation. :) thanks for the real adventures
I truly appreciate that Hannah is willing to show that life in a van isn’t always picture perfect. I honestly love it way more than the posers on social media, trying to frame van life as a less problematic existence when in reality life isn’t problem free. There will always be some bumps in the road, and I love it 💯
I really appreciated seeing this this morning 🌄 I'm in CA and just trying to begin my vanlife journey. I got burned by a builder, so my van is usable, but incomplete. BUT, that won't stop me, no way. Lol 😆 I'm 63 yrs young and have traveled in my Motorhome in the past. But now, my dream of going back to my free spirit self is slowly coming together 💪🏽Right now I'm Beach surfing lol looking for the best and somewhat quiet places to park for a few days at a time until I finish Vandalé 🚌 She's a 2002 Ford econoline. But I totally appreciate you not trying to sugarcoat this journey! Today I woke up at the ocean and definitely one of the most amazing spot (less passing traffic) Your adorable. Thank you (I'm going to look back at your van build, it's awesome!!! 👍🏽
I've learned, you can't have all the beautiful flowers, without the rain, so I've learned, there's beauty in the rain... Stay safe out there, and never stop finding the beauty, in everything. Much respect and love. God bless.
I always think the fun of UA-cam videos is that we get to see other people's true lives that are completely different from ours, but nowadays very few people still keep it genuine and unfiltered. Your video felt true and real, so please keep it up like that! And thank you for sharing your van life with us🌞
I was cracking up when all your stuff came flying out behind you 😂 PS please make your writing bigger next tine, for us who don't have the beat eyesight. I've no idea what half the captions said
6:05 i havent laughed so hard at a video for a long time -- it looks like you're going at like 90mph, the camera bouncing about wildly, things flinging themselves across the van the chaos is fabulous
I appreciate the honest look at the downside of van life, at the same time. Looks like some very stressful moments were had, interspersed with some very nice, quiet moments. I think that walking along an isolated stretch of Lake Superior beach to call my own for the night would make the rest quite worth it, at the end of the day.
Thank you for the real-ness. I’m living in my RV and there’s fun times, peaceful times, frustrating times, and times that I go - what the heck am I doing? 💕🌲🚐
This spoke to my soul on so many levels! What you said about it being rough and frustrating but that you wouldnt change it cause in the end you were still having fun is is so true. I don’t have a van but I do have a car that I like to go on random road trips in and this is definitely me when Im on one of my adventures. Some days are easy and fun and others are like this one where im just so tired and fed up and just want to park SOMEWHERE for the night, but am still stubborn to make it worth while. And on top of all of that Im still having a great time, by myself, just me and nature and the open road. Its the most freeing feeling I have ever felt which is probably why my road trips are like a drug for me! Love this and love the honesty! Great video Hannah! 💖💖💖
I live in a Ford Explorer and girl I FELT THIS. It's so good seeing someone being real about this online. Some days I map out some great new places and I'm really optimistic about them, and everything goes to hell in one way or another. Thankfully I'm in Colorado so even when there is rain I can generally totally ignore it and even leave all my windows open anyway because it'll be over fast and everything dries instantly, but apart from that I related to every single bit of this journey you took us on (especially the "I really hope nobody comes knocking on my window to kick me out in the middle of the night" sentiment!). A while back I cruised some 4WD roads in a national forest and ended up taking a crazy route out, one which wasn't even a real road but rather a channel carved by snowmelt and vaguely cleared of trees by humans, so it was a crazy V-shaped road and I was pitched at insane angles the whole time, and it shook the crap out of my truck, and I'm amazed that she and I came out of there intact! The "I should give up"/(doesn't give up) is real lol! That one ended up being a fun day but also quite scary, really didn't know if I'd make it off that mountain safely. But yeah, thanks for showing the serious side and the annoying everyday realities we have to deal with in the vehicle life! I think the public really needs to understand more of this, especially since more and more people are joining the lifestyle. I'm glad I discovered your channel tonight (got recommended the new video about your lovely land and cabins!) and can't wait to look at more of your work. :)
Great video! I've had numerous similar experiences and empathize with the fun filled anxiety of driving around in rural areas. Love how you came to terms with the day in a positive way. A few weeks ago, I was trying to back up and ended up getting stuck. No cell service but 911 sent a tow truck which had a jeep loaded on his truck with a wench (I was south of Delta Junction in Alaska) and he pulled me out in 5 minutes. You get a lot of time to consider life's ups and downs in those van moments. $575 later, I was out and drove home out of frustration and got home at 3 AM. But the drive was beautiful and I wasn't totally upset. I dealt with it without freaking out. And so did you. Important lesson in life!
i love that when things didn't go as planned and you felt really defeated at moments, at the end of the day, when it had all passed, you just let it go. that's so important for young (and old) people to understand. let it go, tomorrow's a new opportunity. xo
Literally one of the funniest things I've seen in a while, you speeding forward in your shaking van as all of your dishes just fly off the shelves...hilarious
every time im having a “nothing is going right” day i find my way back to this video. i admire your relentless optimism. your energy is so comforting ❤️
Those back woods roads you need to crawl down those road IE 5 mph or less other wise you will break suspension components.......Advice from a Mechanic 🤟🏻🇺🇸
Gosh this was well executed. Nothing wrong with just saying how it is sometimes. Lots of teachable moments, no glitz and glamour, just how it is, or was. Glad you made it!
this is honestly the best youtube video i've seen in 10 years your whole vibe is something along the lines of: going through with the idyllic lyfestyle and still being subtly pissed off about it, which i relate with but this particular video is just such a cool window into the actualities of #vanlyfe thanks for being a real person
That was myFirst question: Like why is She going so fast??? Stuff falling, You bouncing back n forth... pissing rain!!! I can't stop laughing. This made myDey. Thankhz so Much for sharing this adventure Hannah and finding some humour in all of this. Wholeness n Essence of Love ((-;
Thank you... Thank you Hannah... your adventures here take me back to my driving seniors in from out in the middle of 'no where'... I have over 1million kms under my driving belt... The rain and wipers and flooding roads and all the mud bring back so many memories... Imagine having a senior beside you who desperately needs to get home from doctors or shopping and you were it to get them in and out... But I loved it... Thanks again for the blast from the past... a walk down memory lane :-) :-) :-)
Just a thought when you’re editing can you make the right little add in the words you put in on the screen can you make them a little bigger so everyone can read them
I appreciate you showing the real side of life. Finding your routine your balance and nook in the World is hard . I live in a Major City and the stress with everything going on feels like I'm going to break. Don't ever question your decision. You have done the right thing. You have the dream .
I'm so glad you posted this. This is so refreshingly authentic! I remember thinking on my first trips, when I was in the same situations (mostly, I didn't have to deal with the monsoon), all I could think of was how nobody had prepared me for this! lol!! But yeah, this brought me right back, yelling into the void and all. But strangely, and you touched on this at the end, for all its uncertainty and frustration, those days are what added to the adventure. It made the really great times and sites all the better. And I think we should find a name for that zen that you only reach when everything is rattling around the floor as you try to navigate potholed and washboarded roads, and you're just kind of ok with it. It's such a van thing, I don't think you can describe it, you just have to experience it.
I do not understand why anyone would dislike this. I have watched your three most recent videos, and this is the video that drew me to subscribe. I appreciate your genuine experiences.
I'm watching your videos backwards as I found you probs half year ago. I have to say thank you for being in this world. I love to see someone so honest.
Major props to you for being strong enough to keep going! You are stronger than you give yourself credit for. You have prepared yourself better than you think. The comment about everything is meant to dropped on the floor proved that.
Hi Hannah, way up close to the tip of the U.P. is where our property is at in the Keweenaw, between Eagle Harbor and Copper Harbor M26 on Lake Superior! You would be more than welcome to camp there anytime!! That would be totally awesome if you could come and visit and stay as long as you want!! Let me know!! Oh and by the way..the road out to High Rock gets way worse the closer you get to it, so yeah it's good you turned around!...but sometime you need to go out there though with a 4 wheel drive, it is absolutely beautiful and so worth the rough road to see all the beauty!!
5:50 starting here I cracked up until she couldn’t go any further.. has everything falling all over her van and she’s trying to drive calmly and the little note comes up “everything’s fine” I literally laughed out loud
I genuinely love your content and how authentic you are. Life has good days and bad days and van life is no exception. Thank you so much for showing that!
UA-cam just recommended me your video today and honestly this just made me a subscriber. The fact that you're showing real life instead of just the glorified parts. love it! Keep on keeping on 💚💙💜💛🧡🖤
I'm from the U P and it was so nice seeing the shoreline , I miss that it's so beautiful but I also know how untamed it can be when your out in the woods there , my daughter and I were up there to see the Porcupine Mountains , towers for the GPS are few and very far between up there, we got sent down a road like the one you were on by the GPS said the same thing you did about the puddle, we got a Jeep we said it can handle a puddle , our front end hit a deep hole puddle and we were stuck in the middle of the woods, light snow, cold, turning dark , road washing away under us, no one could find us, finally after many hours a cop finally found us it was more hours for people to come from another town to come pull us out in the middle of the night 6 hours later we got to our cabin, was a great trip but every time I see a dirt road that flashes threw my mind . I'm glad you made it threw up there, my hippy soul loves your spirt and have dreamed a very similar dream that you have turned into your reality , many blessing to you !
julie baldwin OMG. I am so glad to see your comment! (lol). As soon as she said that, I laughed out loud sooo hard. It was so funny when she said that! I came straight to the comment section to see if anyone else commented on her saying that. It was Hilarious! Gotta love her. And thank you for commenting. : )
This has got to be my favourite 'Van Life' video ever, completely real with no filters, brilliant! You handled it all fantastically & better than most :-).
Weird! I just moved into my van full time, and On the first night I had dreams that people were trying to break into my van too, and that the van was destroyed! I wonder if this is a common occurrence..??
@@chloe-ev3qk It’s going great! So much has happened! Crazy awesome life! Been sleeping on the boardwalk of Chesapeake Beach for a while, and now I’m in Fayetteville, NC, soon to head back out to FLA with my new wife! God is good! How about you, sis? Blessings to you!
This is just a real portrayel of life in general, and van life. And I love at the end with her message about not staying in a place that was emotional attached to negative feelings. First time watcher and I'm subscribed.
Yesss girl! I love how you don’t have a “GO GO GO” attitude. It’s okay to take the scenic route or take time to weather through a storm instead of getting caught up in the chaos and freaking out. I’m aiming to live a slower life when I get my mobile home. Great, authentic video and good luck to you✨✨✨
Ive watched a few of your videos and I LOVE them, especially this one. I dunno why but at the end when you were talking it really resonated with me, Its the journey that matters and you can always find something good in everything and learn from whatever happens. THANKS For the videos!!
I greatly appreciate your authenticity, honesty and amazing perspective. You are an incredible person and I am grateful that you are sharing your journey.
Hannah - Towards the end of this video when you’re in your van getting ready for bed, numerous orbs appeared and floated all around you. Indicative of lots of other worldly energies (and/or angels) keeping watch over you. These honest video chronicles of your adventures and the realities and complications that occur are amazing to watch. Thanks for taking us all in UA-camland along with you!
Thank you for showing us the real deal! Those are the more interesting videos imo. Last week I hiked for 3 hours with a heavy backpack to find a beautiful spot I researched. When I got there it was totally overgrown and nowhere to put up a tent, lol. So I had so walk waay back to find a spot and it started raining before I got the tent up. That's just the reality some days if you want to explore new remote spots, mother nature decides to give you a reality check once in a while. Makes me appreciate the easy days more. I just found your channel, and I've watched lots of videos and this is the one that made me subscribe.
Sameera Banu I see lots of van lifers with animals. They are all happy as long as they have steady people who love and take care of them. Dogs, in particular, are happy wherever their humans are.
@@belindaknowles7440 yes you sure might be right, I am not aware as I don't own dogs :) I actually saw it in a comment that they need a stable place so I just thought I would share :)
What a relief you got off those roads. As the other ladies were saying, I was worried for you too. Thanks for sharing your video content of your days are just fine. Stay safe 💕
I live here in Michigan and those forest roads you have to drive VERY slow on. That was nuts! Sounds like you were heading toe]ward High Rock Bay near copper harbor in the Keewenaw peninsula . It is a beautiful area. I hope you get there. In Michigan you cannot camp on roads etc. But they will let you over night on the turnouts, but you have to leave the next day. This is only in the UP. In the LP they’re much more strict. I’m currently living in Port Austin. If you want privacy and to camp anywhere, head East to Drummond Island. Take the faery over and you can stay anywhere on state land. It is gorgeous and very private. All nature and one little bitty town.

I love that you show the bad with the good, because just like life no good comes completely bad free 💖 keep it up girlie

The joys of traveling yet getting nowhere hahahaaha!
Gotta find the beauty in it 😉
You are wise beyond your years, and grounded. Love the realism of this video, and your assessment of your day at the end. Well done.
“Some days are not all sunshine and roses. Sometimes you’re eating soggy vegetables”
Wise words.
i literally love how calm you are going through that treterous dirt road 😂 as if your pots & pans aren't flying everywhere lmfaoo i love it
I'm so glad you posted this.
It's such a van thing, I don't think you can describe it, you just have to experience it.
this is my favorite video you've ever posted!
i was DYING with laughter when your cups fell
Why would anyone deliberately want to damage their vehicle going down a such a bad road? Really?!
Sorry, but kind of dumb......
I do not understand why anyone would dislike this. I have watched your three most recent videos, and this is the video that drew me to subscribe. I appreciate your genuine experiences.
I love seeing the challenges. What a beautiful way to start a day. And to end a day.
I'm watching your videos backwards as I found you probs half year ago. I have to say thank you for being in this world. I love to see someone so honest.
"off like a herd of turtles...." lol
Lol!! Loved that
So funny
I don't get it
🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢💨💨💨💨💨💨
You constantly use little expressions I grew up with and that my mom used! You make me laugh and happy!
Thanks, little Hannah!
Major props to you for being strong enough to keep going! You are stronger than you give yourself credit for. You have prepared yourself better than you think. The comment about everything is meant to dropped on the floor proved that.
Why was this so funny but also anxiety inducing at the same time omg
You are refreshingly candid. I hope you slept well and woke to a beautiful new day!
the heavens was guiding you with the on and off rain fall!
“We’re off like a herd of turtles” 🐢 hilarious
julie baldwin OMG. I am so glad to see your comment! (lol). As soon as she said that, I laughed out loud sooo hard. It was so funny when she said that! I came straight to the comment section to see if anyone else commented on her saying that. It was Hilarious! Gotta love her. And thank you for commenting. : )
That is the beauty of the road. Makes you tuff and you enjoy stuff so much more having your spot never gets old.
After watching this, why do I still want to try van life, hehe. I love seeing som vanlife realities
Great, authentic video and good luck to you✨✨✨
I love the reality of your videos. Shows what life is really like, life happens when you’re making plans
Omg yesssss these days 100% EXIST. And they're STUPID STRESSFUL. Hate how Instagram vanlife can't admit it lol.
She is a real Traveller and brave. Facing the real Van Lifestyle and I love her because she doesn't hide anything. Thank you to your soul ❤️🧡💛💓❤️😇💓❤️😇
The way my anxiety just spiked as you we trying to get to the hiking spot...😅
Hanna, I love your videos....So full of "honesty" , and your "humble humanity",. Great choice for back ground tunes too. GREAT job!!!
Does anyone notice how good she is at driving
Ive watched a few of your videos and I LOVE them, especially this one. I dunno why but at the end when you were talking it really resonated with me, Its the journey that matters and you can always find something good in everything and learn from whatever happens. THANKS For the videos!!
I'm early! Watching at 4am all the way from Philippines :) Love you Hannah!!!
aww!! get to sleep! 😴 💤 ♥️
Hi ghelai, nice to see a message here coming from the Philippines! I miss it there so much 😀
@@thisismaso awww are you vlogging too? :) Keep safe!!! God bless you!! :)
Ghelai's Vlog yeah I am. I'll check yours now👍
I greatly appreciate your authenticity, honesty and amazing perspective. You are an incredible person and I am grateful that you are sharing your journey.
I like when you said "I'm going home". 😂
I was just reading through all the comments to see if I was the only one that saw the orbs. Good to know I wasn't alone.
Nothing wrong with being a free spirit girl 👍🕊️😊🍏🌸
"Instead of just accepting that, I just wanted to keep trying."
Wise words that we all need to live by.
This helped. I got really stressed and this calmed me down some. Thanks Hannah.
Ahhh man it's raining here too and it was like watching stress while stressed but I kept watching lol it's my first vid
Ahhh man it's raining here too and it was like watching stress while stressed but I kept watching lol it's my first vid
She's such a breath of fresh air, God bless her and be with her always on her adventures 😀
Your little captions have me loling whilst alone in my room lmao 😂
Thank you for showing us the real deal! Those are the more interesting videos imo. Last week I hiked for 3 hours with a heavy backpack to find a beautiful spot I researched. When I got there it was totally overgrown and nowhere to put up a tent, lol. So I had so walk waay back to find a spot and it started raining before I got the tent up. That's just the reality some days if you want to explore new remote spots, mother nature decides to give you a reality check once in a while. Makes me appreciate the easy days more. I just found your channel, and I've watched lots of videos and this is the one that made me subscribe.
Have you ever thought about getting a dog to travel with you? I'm alone sometimes when my husband stays with his mom. My girl Sophie helps so much🙂
Animals need a steady place and if someone is living in a van, it isn't steady as such :)
Sameera Banu I see lots of van lifers with animals. They are all happy as long as they have steady people who love and take care of them. Dogs, in particular, are happy wherever their humans are.
@@belindaknowles7440 yes you sure might be right, I am not aware as I don't own dogs :)
I actually saw it in a comment that they need a stable place so I just thought I would share :)
i love that you are so real about your life it’s not all just instagram shots 💖
‘We are off like a heard of turtles’
Most accurate description of my life ever
Your realness is what I really appreciate
When all the stuff started falling while she was driving I started dying of laughter I’m sorry 😂 new subscriber ❤️
It’s good to show the good and bad days, we all have them. Loved the typed comments throughout the video, you were cracking me up. Stay safe 😊
I like when you yell at the sun
😂 I do that a lot, it’s just not usually on camera
What a relief you got off those roads. As the other ladies were saying, I was worried for you too. Thanks for sharing your video content of your days are just fine. Stay safe 💕
When roads turn out like that- especially when they suddenly turn into one lane... 😭
Weekend, the perfect time for a staycation. 😆
I love your videos, they always cheer me up. You keep life real and that's what's special about you.
Я совершенно ни чего не понимаю, но все равно интересно смотреть на сочетание эмоций, какого-то действия и непонятного текста😆
How can a van be so simple, so cozy, so beautiful, so perfect? It is really impressive! Speechless... Congrats! 💛
