This DLC would be 1000 times better if it took place in persia and you actually played as Darius

I love how the older the time era is the more advance looking the hidden blade is
A lot of knowlegde (engineering) has been lost in time. A rich people had advanced tools. Look up the Antikythera mechanism. It was mechanism more advanceded than a watch from about 100 BC.

BENJAMIN FRANKLIN
the way 300 was written was a story told by the Spartans propaganda perspective. It was inaccurate on purpose. That was why the spartan traitor was depicted as an ugly hunchback. And made the Persians looks like demons. The one man they sent back to Sparta told an extremely exaggerated story of what went down in the battle and what the Persians and Xerxes looked like

Therefore having to amputate their fingers
al Mamlūk the statue of Darius in Ac2 shows him wearing the blade upside down tho..

Those were before the assassins so I'm sure the next game is gonna be a lot like the older assassin creed games.
You CAN play stealthy in this game! Hell, there’s often consequences for NOT doing so in the story:
- If you’re seen at Cyclops’ Lair, his goons attack Markos’ house
- If you publicly execute Monger, Lagos The Archon won’t help you.
These are actually some of the most realistic Persian warrior attire ever depicted by a Western media/gaming outlet

I honestly wanted more of Darius doing missions with Kassandra. This was low-key watching a master assassin mentoring a recruit. It would be awesome if Kassandra went on special missions with Darius and receive special training on stealth and how to assassinate cleanly without attracting attention, but I'm guessing that role will go to elpidios.
you know when those guys jumped down all badass-looking i thought "here we go again"
but seeing them just get ganged and ran through brings such relief
This is what assassins creed should be in every game about the assassins being stealthy and deadly and mysterious not what we got in the main story of odyssey that had nothing to do with the stuff I just said
Odyssey was more showing the start of the proto-Templars just as Origins was showing the root, the formation, of what would eventually become the Assassin Order. While agree on some parts, every story deserves a beginning/starting point which is what Origins and Odyssey is doing by showing us both perspectives of the creation of the two groups that will come to fight each other throughout time. So things will not exactly be what we want/expect, but we are getting origins stories of both. I think this will be the path Ubisoft will continue on for a few more games, building up and furthering the mythology of both groups.
Assasin is murdering political nor a person. Stealth are not mandatory.

Because of Prince of Persia, Assassin's Creed's inspiration.
The ruler of a massive empire of that size had that much body guards he would have hundreds of soldiers with him
The closest to actual assassins we get
I like how at 6:09 Amorges goes on about working with the Order. It makes me sad because Connor tried doing that hundreds of years later when he met up with his father. It’s also interesting because this would’ve been the first time there has ever been a proposal of peace between the Templar’s and assassin’s
How about a Persian setting next game considering this was supposed to be Prince of Persia.
Ubisoft should make an AC set in Persia in 5th century BC

That would have made a lot of sense if all assassins would have been wearing their hidden blade on top of their hands so they don't lose a finger
Klaus Walker well the whole losing a finger thing was only from origins to assassins creed 1 which was some years so it’s safe to say assassins stop losing fingers after ezio had his made in a better way
The hidden blade was supposed to be worn on the top of the wirst, Bayek lost his finger because he worn the hidden blade in the wrong way
RadTheLad oh I totally forgot about that
One reasonable option to wearing it "upside down" is because it actually hides the blade which is why its called a hidden blade. You do realize how easily its spotted if its on the upper side rather than the under side right? The aspect of concealing the blade keeps the wearer from standing out but in times like syndicate when no one wheres noticeable gauntlets its easier to spot a blade the way darius wears it.
Assassin's actually cut their fingers as a sign of devotion to the Creed

After playing the Prince of Persia games and knowing that Assassin's Creed is based off of Prince of Persia it just makes it that much more epic knowing that the first true assassin is in fact The Prince of Persia.
The Artabanus group, precursors of the assassin brotherhood. Their code "There will always be tyrants, and there will always be us to stop them, for Persia, its children, their future."

Persia has a very great history that can help companies to make a great game but as you see ... nothing exists.
They could touch upon Babak Khorramdin/ the Khurramites and their fight against the Abbasid Caliphate but since he's a venerated hero in Iran and Azerbaijan, Ubisoft would probably stray away from offending a whole ethnic group by trivializing/ changing what Babak fought for.

Imagine you have a history presentation tomorrow and you haven't done much of a research.

They would rather base it off history but it’s not exactly like what actually happened
They would rather do what’s more interesting
Would you rather have a crap game that exactly reproduces the history
Or a good game that is based on history but not step for step EXACTLY like it
@@gamingstupid you didn't get my point. Let me make it straightforward then.
The very reason you can choose between Alexios and Kassandra is because animus can't decide whether it's a boy or a girl, which has nothing to do with altering the past or the present.
Yet, in the end of the game, whether Alexios or Kassandra appears (in the present day) with the immortality staff depends on which one of these you chose at the beginning.
To be more clear, the choices you make in the animus should not affect events outside of animus, since animus is a simulation device, not a time travelling device.
@@sharif47 clearly you didn't get it at all. It's a little meta here, but you're basically the historian here. You decide if it's Kassandra or Alexios. You decide what they did. But whatever choice and its consequences is considered history in-game.
And given how the characters are just fictional characters in a fictional alternate history, whatever they do won't replace much that we know of history. AC franchise has all been about alternate histories with the secret Assassin-Templar war controlling the outcomes of history, like the Crusades in AC1, the wars in Italy on AC2 trilogy, the French and Indian War in AC:Rogue, the American Revolution in AC3, and certain events triggered by each side's interference in the French Revolution and Victorian England, both in Unity and Syndicate respectively. As far as the ignorant masses of today goes, we won't know anything about the Assasins and Templars in history, but as players we know about all their machinations.
The should make another DLC where you are an assassin in Alexander the Great’s time
Which do you think is better behind the wrist or over the wrist hidden blade
