How many people actually had no heart and killed this man? He is so pure, in my playthrough I told him the truth about each region and saved him
:) I only tried it for the video
I did the same.
Is that’s a dlc?
Me too
@@jacket8818 no it is Ubisoft club reward
He survived on my playthrough, i couldn't let him die he's so kind and a gentle soul
he's like killing ezio
Certainly one of the more memorable quests in Odyssey. despite how simple and straightforward it is, there is this engaging aspect in it that makes it well written. :)
@Bass Player yeah and it also encourages you to explore the open world more. I really started appreciating the world after this quest and it feels awesome when you are able to see scluptures and buildings that are actually real(or at least used to be because they have deteriorated over time) in all of their glory.
Thanos : a soul for a soul
Kassandra : a tale for a tale
How could you let Atraxerxes die? He seemed a nice guy
A nice soul too
@@user-xm8ut3dw3f Still, it was not him, so why trial him for his fathers crimes? He was different, you could tell by what he said he did as king ( giving refuge to the Athenian, ruled and there was peace during his reign, not choosing to kill his brother but flee ) and he is defenseless, being blind and old.
Arya Xerxes is the name of a Persian Shah (king)
Play the dlc darius nd natakas story
димитрий саволчье ur dumb
So the blind man can still put up a fight? Is he secretly daredevil or Kenshi from mortal kombat?
because he's lee sin from LOL
Stevie wonder in Ancient Greece lmao
he's the prince of persia
I think he is that old man who guided the prince in Prince of Persia Two Thrones.
he's actually the price from warrior within, he's old now
I didn’t let Artaxerxes die, I saved him. I couldn’t care less about the blood vengeance bs.
i kinda hope i could take him to adrestia and bring him to all those places.
One of the better quests in Assassin's Creed Odyssey :)
xLetalis thanks for uploading it. Through you odyssey looked like a fine piece. I won't play it, but I liked watching it.
@@sharktrap267 you're welcome
If it was the young prince of persia from warrior within. That soldier would have been ripped into half
*Best, not better
@@artemkh8944 maybe he's not english, like me
I could not kill the poor old dude. Screw blood vengeance. I believe it is not right to punish someone from the sins of his father, a trait I also passed to my character while I played through this game. Besides, he seemed like a kind old man. It should also be noted that this game takes great artistic liberties. In real life Artaxerxes was never exiled and instead he killed Artabanus (the killer of his father Xerxes) in about 464 bce
Even after putting 132 hours into the game and being in chapter 3 of legacy of the first blade I only just realised that Darius was telling the truth when he said he killed xerxes himself
Darius is that The merchant in The starter Island
Leonidas descendant is friends with xerxes descendant , this is too precious
Technically not Xerxes descendant but his son. And not Leonidas descendant but his granddaughter. It’s not enough generations to be called ancestor or descendant
@@Tostito422 Nope, you don't need to have a certain amount of separation before you're considered someone's descendant.

I am a Prince of Persia fan
*But not bigger than me* 😊😈
Me too
Same ^^
so the guy in asssain creed odyssey is the prince of piresa guy ubisoft never stop surprising us
Im a persian☺
the only quest that needs us to explore and tell the tale
Artaxerxes looks more like an Assassin’s Creed character than Kassandra or Alexios 😂
He’s the prince of persia
The most anticipated crossover is here.
never though Ubisoft would made a quest about Artaxerxes past life and his relationship with Themistocles. i`m still wishing for Themistocles story DLC or something. keep it up with your videos.
I want prince of persia warrior within remake for new consoles
la salchicha peleona i want the whole trilogy remastered
La Salchicha Peleona not just warrior within the whole trilogy remastered to PS5 and bigger and better! Make prince of Persia great again!
I have good news for you ;)
@@TheVorket that trailer was everything but good news bro
It's sad that ubisoft didn't link him in legacy of first blade DLC... Maybe he should have some quests or dialogues... What you do with him in this quest should have come consequences on the DLC... After playing it seemed that he was nothing related to Persia...
Well he was really the prince of Persia, son of Xerxes and king of Persia
0:31
When he said Persia i thought Kassandra is gonna stab him
i still love that synchronize location afk music
I just saw the video now, and I gotta say that it wouldn't even be possible for me to choose to kill him. He's so kind and when he begged I couldn't not to mercy him.
Thank you for making awesome videos, keep it up!!!
will try :)
I didnt kill him because i didnt rush the mission i mean from level 13 to 40 ive been walking past this man and going to those places and when i completed the main story i was remembering all people like markos and barnabas and all the friends and I remembered this guy and i realised he has been with me for such a long time in the game
About the quest name, are Ubisoft chose this name based on the history or they want to make fans remember about Prince of Persia games or just made a joke about it?
Assassin's Creed was originally a Prince of Persia game, but they renamed it, because it was very much different than usual PoP games
Hadrian Hwan The name must have come naturally to them. It's fitting to the quest, while making a nice callback to the game. So, a callback and a joke while being a good fit for the quest? I like it a lot.
Artaxerxes was one of the Kings of the Persian empire around the same time as this game is set. He succeeded his father Xerxes who is infamous for the disastrous Persian invasion of mainland Greece.
@@MrAdiomen nah they changed it because they wanted full revenue from the game, Prince of Persia IP doesn't belong to Ubisoft.
Mr Poopy Butthole are you crazy its Ubisoft
Am i the only one that was cheering for the shovel woman????
Broom woman
In fact Artaxerxes was the greatest King of the Persia (Iran) ☺
Even just for the purpose of showing it
How could you blatantly lie to this kind man's face, you can hear the disappointment in his voice, how dare you...
Then don't watch it, it is not for you.
It’s a video showing the options of the game, stop being such a pussy and tool and fuck off if your too much of a tool to watch this
@@ChonkedCat I mean it's rather meant as joke and I thought I don't need to point this out, but then you two smartasses showed up and act as dense and as intelligent as a brick
@@ChonkedCat Also A+ on the originality, in just three lines of an insult you used "tool" twice
Is your mother going to screenshot your comment, print it out and pin it on the fridge too, cause I have the feeling you won't be able to come up with something better than calling others a tool multiple times
I love that in the process, it include the failed design of the Broom's Warrior.
When I see Prince of Persia
I Click😏😏
the title of the quest gave it away almost immediately for me at the beginning of the game honestly. i didnt complete the quest but i always had a feeling that he was the son or relative of xerxes...a bit sad i spoiled it for myself tonight still
Was I the only one that thought he was an older version of the Prince from the Prince of Persia game? & for anyone who doesn’t know, Assassin’s Creed was originally a Prince of Persia prequel, but they scraped the idea & it became its own thing, which was an amazing decision. But I thought at some point, while this man was acting helpless, there was going to be a fight & he was going to whip out the dagger of time! Revealing himself to be the prince from that game. That would’ve been so Epic!
But then again, idk where this would’ve fit on a timeline scale with that game
Its just an easter egg. Odyssey have many easter eggs from prince of persia. Its completally impossible to be the true prince of persia from PoP games for a bunch of motives, one of the main is the lore, prince of persia has a very deep lore of supernatural things and conflict with the isus thing about AC franchise, its impossible to have a crossover.
And i disagree about been a good decision to split up the two storylines, the prince of persia lore about sands of time was much more original and creative than what assasins creed became. AC is basicalĺy a generic mix of greek mithology with bible references, very poor story. Would be much better if the AC kept in the sands of time universe and developed the kaileena and hourglass origins. The ubisoft decision of separate the framchises was a sad mistake. Which after all killed the prince franchise.
The phrase "a tale for a tale" reminded me of that mad mages in DA:O that asks you a question for an answer and then you ask him a question in return of trade with him :D
Don't think that Ubisoft did this as an easter egg but it just reminded me of that
yeah, the old guy in the elven forest
Wait are We the ones he's paranoid about?! We're in fact talking about him behind his back!
Wait if you play the dlc you meet Darius. Damn this game lore is lit
Great stuff.
Love this game.
I find it funny that Artaxerxes is already in the main game, standing in front of the Temple of Apollo in Megaris day-in, day-out. Can't interact with him in aynway though.
I wish this mission wasn't so short
It's not . It's the ultimate fetch quest. You do have to go a lot of places very far as well.
I couldn't let him die, he's too innocent and pure I just couldn't lie to him
Are you really Stalin?
he looks like darius from legacy of the blade
(edit) just watched it
poor Atraxerxes he was a good person
what a nice person, Artaxerxes
I really liked this guy , if i could bring him to the Adrestia i would
Makes me think we are going to be seeing Persia and playing AS Darius in the expansion in flashback form. If that is the case them I would bet we see a younger Artaxerxes. An ancient Persia (Babylon, etc) would be very cool. Look at the dead body in the trailer before they crash down. That is a Persian uniform.
The DLC expansion takes places in Greek Macedonia (Middle Makedonia) where the main antagonist is the "Order of Ancient... Hunters".
@@carlosalbertofernandezvele7574 That works but i still think his story will very likely be told in flashback form as they did with Leonides. Either way works but that makes more sense to me. One thing is certain and that is Darius likely has a very cool story to tell.
The Lucifer , by that time, Babylon was under Persian control. He wished he could see Babylon in a flashback with the graphics of AC Oddyssey as Babylon was an important city conquered by the Persian empire
@@carlosalbertofernandezvele7574 Exactly.
The Assassin's Creed rised in middle West of Persia (which is West of Iran now) in a castle named Alamut(الموت) and people called them Hashashin or Hashashion (حشاشین) which turned to Assassins and some of the members still live in that state of Iran but no one knows them .Any way they call them Hashashin because before doing a mission they used a certain kind of weed called Hashish(حشیش). I'm not sure they eat it or smoke it but it made them more focused.
Anyway, the only reason that we never saw or shall see a Assassins game in Iran is Politics and in all of the Assassin's games there was a sign of Persia like bow of Arash in origins and...
That guy pew pew peeeeeeeew had me dying 😂 🤣
Assassins Castle is in North Iran
Such a wholesome mission :)
This has to be one of my favorite quests. Even though they are two people who were enemies as ancestors, I chose to be truthful and spare Artaxerxes. It’s a shame I couldn’t invite him on the ship.
I am from iran i love ubisoft and this scense
So this is like the quest before we get the next dlc. Darius will be the one who wields the first blade right ?
PhantomHunter right.
I wonder if there is something special that happens if you do the quest after Legacy of the first blade since you actually meet Darius the one that wanted to kill him
This prince of Persia from the two thrones 🔥🔥I see how they did this
What?
Does anyone know the background music / soundtrack being played during this quest?? It's so nice .. 3:20 listen to it
i felt bad when i saw the end
You know he was the leader of the order of the ancinets before amorges in the leagacy of the first blade dlc
It's so interesting that Leonidas, Themistokles, King Darius I, Xerxes and Artaxerxes lived at the same time. Leonidas who protected the Thermopylae from Persian invasion and Themistokles who attacked the Persians in the Battle of Marathon. Persian King Darius I who's plan was to attack the Marathon battle and later dying to his illness, after when Xerxes took over and got Leonidas killed so that someone could assassinate Xerxes himself so Themistokles would just befriend with Artaxerxes and tell him stories about Greek land and it's wonders.
SPARTAN KICK
Oh damn, a highlighted comment, thank you!
Azure Ignem this is Sparta!
I was so disappointed in the ending reward. Only 4000 drachmae?? Really? I spent quite a bit to get to all of the viewpoints.
You were gonna do it anyway though eventually
shit ton of xp tho
Thank you for this! This has probably already been asked... What if you actively kill him? Oh, and can you still find the treasure?
hm I don't think you can find the treasure then, also I think if you choose to kill him you still get the scene where the assassin shows up
@@xLetalis I happened to have already raided the tomb before completing this quest and was really confused when the quest ended without giving me a marker. So technically you can still find it through random exploring, the game just won't tell you where to go.
good to know ;]
Is there an option to tell Darius about Artaxerxes later on or vice versa?
I don't think so
Though past generations shed blood. The present holds opportunity for healing, and renewal. I saved him, and gladly so, despite being a Spartan fanboy in AC Odyssey.
I tried to lie to him at first because I wanted him to think positively but when he called me out I told the truth. I told him about leonitas but saved him
If you have played the first blade dlc then you would know that this blind man is the son of xerxes whom Darius was trying to kill.
Yeah but Darius was wrong there. I think amorges did the right think there
I watched killed Atraxerxes the same way I watch killed the family that was friends with Phieobie.
Just because you don't get blood on your hands DOESN'T mean you're inherently innocent!
Is the tomb in salamis in the game. If so where?
Letting a blind man died helplessly? Who in the world that is heartless enough to let this happened?
Its a videogame. calm down
@@cosmicbilly it was not even in a serious tone either. calm down
also i have to tell you that his father poisoned him , not his brother.
Now Ubisoft should make pop game
So is this guys brother the new dlc first hidden blade? Or is the fact they’re both Darius mere coincidence?
He's the assassin who poisoned Artaxerxes, not his brother.
So alot of people will think this is prince from prince of persia but that's wrong cuz prince first of all is not a prince he is now king of persia those who played the two thrones knows this and also he was born in the mid of 800 means that prince's time period is the same time period of Ac valhalla so the person right their is not the actual prince of persia.
Pov. you are persian 🤓🇮🇷❤️
so artabanus want this guy dead? seems reckless for the first wielder of first hidden blade.
Asahel : he thought Artaxerxes was evil, he didn't know that he refused to joined the ordered of ancients
Artabanus spared him.
The way he trusted me and begged me to save him... i can take on the entire persian army just to save this soul
So I'm stuck on a quest called the prince of cowardice but when I Google it theres no mention of it anywhere. If anyone can help please do. Lol
ViVA PERSIA & PERSIAN PEOPLE For Ever!
Yo
Why didn't Kassandra tell him, Darius is her father in law😂
Yeah and when Barnabas asked the main character in the first chapter if you believe him and if you trust him then why wasn't there an option to say that you believe that he killed xerxes bc his blind son told me so
how did u do the last spear kill ?????
This old man reminds me of al mu alem
I never noticed this while playing the game but is it odd how much the NPCs move when speaking? Were ancient Greeks this expressive with their body or is it just overacting from the motion capture actors?
It’s just because other than cutscenes, the developers didn’t add specific animations to the actions of Kassandra/Alexios. It’s like what you can see in games like Horizon Zero Dawn (one of my favourite games), if you pay close attention to the movement from any character when talking, npc or protagonist, they are all recycling the same movements in different orders. Of course it isn’t all random, when characters say sad dialogue, they put their heads down, why they are confused they shrug and when they laugh they move their shoulders up and down and tilt their heads up slightly. You could call it laziness from the devs, but really, it’s what most huge rpgs do. If they made specific animation for every single side quest and interaction, the game would take absolutely *forever* to make.
WOAHHH HOWD YOU GET THIS
i can see artaxerxes around the temple but i can't talk with him can someone help me ?
I mean artaxerxes is pretty much a dead giveaway though.
Edit : so you have to wait till the guy kills the old man. Ohhh that's where I went wrong
Its a better dialogue if u tell him about Leónidas and Xerxes it makes a story about forgiveness
I wish they return the prince of persia series instead of just slapping the title assassin's creed on the ip
He was not even blind in that time and he was not in greece !
It’s totally not historical accurate
Lol ofc everyone knows what went done irl just enjoy the dang game
Thiz iz connected to which part of pop?
When I first got to this quest I already visited all the viewpoints by accident trying to upgrade ikaros
Where do you find this quest or is it a Main quest?
You can get it from ubisoft store for free
I lied abt one thing in kefalonia but thats because I thought it was beautiful but i guess it wasnt
Where do I get this quest
After finishing the dlc of *Legacy of the First Blade* , can someone explain this?
I guess this will be in you're quest menu if you preorder the game
Where can I buy this
So is that the guy Darius wanted to murder? In the end it seems the Ancients did the right thing.
Not really Darius thought Artaxerxes was evil but it turned out he wasn't. The order of ancients are responsible for why Artaxerxes is blind and a beggar, they attempted to overthrow him and succeeded
@@kensebego199 Makes sense that the Assassin's and Ancients are both morally flawed extremists that can't let a good ruler rule.
Flames Of Chaos : True but for some reason people think the assassins are always the good guys or in this case proto assassins
@@kensebego199 There's the guy in Unity who single handly fucked up the greatest chance for peace between the Assassin's and Templars, There's the whole of the American Branch during the Seven Years War because Shay was 100% morally/ethically in the right, There's the traitor we killed at the beginning of Black Flag, There's Al Mulim himself. I'm sure there's others I'm forgetting too but it's safe to say half of the Assassin's in this series are morally evil or amoral cunts.
Guys I... I don't understand his story. If u played 1st dlc, you must know that something doesn't make sense. At the end of dlc his son (another Darius) tell us that his father rule and Persia is in peace thanks to that. Yet he's there a long time if I understand it right.
Also Darius was then called Artabanos, so how Artaxerxes knows his Greek name? And darius was hired to kill just xerxes, Artaxerxes was his personal target. And he didn't used any poison on him if I remember right. It doesn't make any sense to me😂🤨
ah yes darius the son of xerxes
I've never done this quest, where do you find this guy???
In Megaris he is standing directly below the viewpoint there

God freaking damn you Ubisoft for what you have done and you will do! Not only you brought Prince of Persia's undertaker, but also you're gonna exhume its corpse just to kill it again?! SHAME!
