- This genuine Ex Works Group A Lancia Delta Integrale “Deltona” is a stunning Group A rally car, which was driven to victory in period by rally legend Carlos Sainz.
This car boasts an impressive rally pedigree, having been Carlos Sainz’s only rally winning Lancia Delta Integrale, and also the last works-entered Lancia to win a rally.
Thanks to Ralle Media (ralle.uk/), Chris Harris, and the owner of the Lancia for their involvement in this film.

Chris should have never stopped from doing his "Chris Harris on cars" reviews.
He should do Top Gear on his own them 2 are bellends anyway
True
Indeed
He continued here now and it’s fantastic!
True
Another vote for bringing back “Chris Harris on cars”!
Was one of the better car shows.
I really hate that we have to dump a metric azz ton of "humor" on anything scientific or technical to get the under 100IQ crowd interested.
yes , and make them longer
I only wish these videos would be 20 minutes+ mini-films as they were back in “Chris Harris on Cars”
My thought as well. Also, these are really just high cost advertisements for some the wealthy owners who trade these through auctions. Sad..
@@antoinepageau8336 what about that is sad?
You got me in tears as soon as you said Miki Biasion would drive the car.
He’s from my home town here in Vicenza and is a considered a legend around here. The Lancia name gets always associated with him.
That’s why ford did a miki biasion escort cosworth then
@@chiefrocka8604 Biasion wrecked our recce car in Rally Aust 93 when he reversed his escort into it after missing a turn
I stood in a rain soaked field in chatsworth House for hours waiting to get splattered with mud by one of these going past on full attack. Worth the wait and the resulting cold. A legendary car.
Me too
Chris Harris and rally cars go together like tea and Jaffa Cakes
You can literally feel how quick that steering rack is. Superb.
No you can't. You can see...gen z by any chance?
@@mezalong Cringe talking about generations
Bring back Chris Harris on cars please 🙏🏻
Well that was about half an hour too short! 😪😂.
Indeed
Not only the nicest looking rally car but also one of the nicest looking cars ever. Iconic
What an icon of a racing car. I loved that Era of racing too. Group A, DTM, BTCC, it was all just fantastic! I wish this was a longer video, I love when Chris does a full walk-through of a car, his insight and presentation of the facts and history of a vehicle are always the best. This video was far too short, but enjoyable all the same.
True, a real golden age in hindsight.
Agree 100%! 👍
This 3 min video was more interesting and evocative than the entire series of the latest Top Gear
Yeah stopped watching that cartoon many many years ago. I remember the days of Tiff Needell and Quentin Wilson. Utter garbage now.
You said it!! Defo right i jist cant watch it anymore
I watch it for those rare flashes of Harris. That’s Harris on his own with a car and a crew to record it. Not Harris and the other two.
I've been a big fan of this car since the 80's. Unfortunately Ive only seen pictures of it.This IS and always will be the ultimate hatch back. Thank you.
There are some great compilations of period rallying footage on youtube. The channel amjayes2 has a few of them.
If you have only seen pictures of it, just wait until you see it live!
And videos. 😉
@@snufte I've seen evo's live only passing me by though. I must Say I get very excited 🤣
I was 16 in 1991…and this was my ultimate..it’s just so go looking
What an icon. Sound, looks and of course the legend. Historical timepiece right there.
Lovely car, would appreciate more direct sounds from the car minus the schmaltzy music-tracking. Dig the intercom spiel from Chris. He’s mighty.
had a Lancia Integrale with extra boost in the 1990s. Loved the Turbo Lag. it felt like a jet engine when the turbo spooled. wow. loved the car then. love it now.
Awesome vid, what a car! Nothing will come close to those legendary rally cars of yesteryear. What a superb vid, well done Mr Harris
Gorgeous ! You never see these things being tested or reviewed on here so this is a treat from my era, the sound on these alone sends shivers !
totally agreethe best looking rally car ever made....
nothing even today comes close to how good that lancia looks ...
I adored that motor. Absolutely stunning.
Brilliant video as per usual. I grew up loving the glamour of the Martini livery and Lancia. They both absolutely oozed the romantic trappings of being a top motorsport driver.
That gave me goose bumps at the end great vid Chris
best person to listen about cars. amazing knowledge, amazing humour and crazy passion
Group A was, without doubt, the best era in Rallying ever. Way better than Group B, which ran alongside Group A for 4 years before being banned. Bring back homologation rules, where 5000 road going cars should be built.
those rules help to create some awesome street cars
2500 after 1994. But yes, I think Grp.A is the best, and providing manufacturers for high performance model too, but needs to control spending, and ofc maintain relevant to road car
Chris Harris finally behind the wheel of an iconic legend.
This video really captures the mood
I’m glad Chris is back home on UA-cam.
Excellent and evocative review, but could be so much longer! I was fortunate to own a tweaked EVO I, from 91-96 and it really was as good as they say and utterly controllable even beyond the limit. Despite some serious machinery since then, the Integrale sticks out as the best all round driving machine / fun car I’ve ever owned .. that could also be a daily car!
This is a real rally car!😍😍😍
Amazing❤️👍
Forever groupe A and B!
wow, the cinematography! Wow! Very nice work :)
Had evo 1 in white for 14 years! Best car i have ever had, The only time I shed a tear was letting her go.
A childhood favourite and still I would give my left kidney for that car
Took delivery of new 8v F plate in 1989- still the best car I have ever driven/owned/loved. They covered ground like a limpet on speed! All my chums are petrol heads and it is still talked about in reverential terms no matter what exotica we have all gone on to own and drive. What a flyer.
Those god damn wheels. I just can't get over how much I love those wheels.
Absolutely fabulous!!!
The world needs more of these
Fantastic review
Carlos drove this car in 1993 season. After having won his 2nd championship with Toyota in 1992 he joint Lancia as it had been always his dream car. Unfortunately Lancia had officially withdraw and the team was managed by Jolly Club. The car didnt develop a bit during the season, contrary to the Toyotas which ended up winning the championship in '93.
Carlos move to Lancia was driven by passion and heart, however it probably cost him 2 or 3 more championships.
Now this a true, authentic, works group A rally car.
One correction: the last ever win for the 1992 Lancia Delta Integral in international rally was in 1 July 2000 with Roger Feghali in International Rally of Lebanon on one of the works cars A.R.T was renting for drivers.
Simply awesome!
Nice video and car! Wonderful that it still had the door interior trims - in a race car
This is amazing 😍👍
I always loved the looks of that car. One of my favorite rally cars but my favorite of them all is the Audi Sport S1 Quattro.
_The Eternal Queen of Rallying_ 👑🥇🏆6️⃣
_Forza Delta_ 🔥 _Forza Lancia_ 🇮🇹
Wondering where ya been, right, on time Thanks 🙏👍 Dennis
Wow what a machine. Just wow wow wow. And no one does it like Chris.
Another Italian masterpiece, won everything there was to win, unforgettable car that will remain in the hearts of all sports lovers of beauty
A true icon a rally legend lancia delta intergrale only the very best.
Absolutely... GOOSEBUMP
A Dream car! Beautiful
Seeing this makes me wish they'd bring back WRC races on TV. I used to watch it religiously. Nothing better when it comes to racing.
I'm having a Sega Rally nostalgia.
I still love that video about Pirelli. Where Chris is a passenger in some beauties (Stratos etc.).
Wow... Just wow!
Just excellent
The nearest I'll ever get to one of those is my Australian 1991 Celica GT4 GroupA Rally, what you call the CS (Carlos Sainz) here. Mine was number 52, it did me well in tarmac rallies like Targa Tas.
Finally an interesting video on UA-cam
Don’t care if I’m late for work, I’m always available for fresh Chris Harris content 🤌
Indeed, hard agree!
My god what a dream car
A truly beautiful car. Just missing the Martini livery IMO
thank you Chris for this full of emiotions video
Group A true golden era of rallying. So many cars and drivers who could win any rally.
My dream car ❤️
You Sir, have the best job on earth!
I do enjoy an evening perusing the Collecting Cars website and it is interesting to see that a particular model of a certain German manufacturer’s limited edition back catalogue has passed through this site in similarly limited numbers over the past year or so and in one case, it serves as useful reference material for a specific car that is now up for sale again.
That said, this post isn’t about that but all about this Group A Lancia Delta HF Integrale and the legendary Chris Harris.
A fantastic vignette and like other commentators here, I only wish this could’ve been a longer and more detailed appreciation of the car and of the man himself.
I know Top Gear gives him profile and the programme is entertaining enough for those who like an hour’s ‘park the brain in neutral’ knockabout but, my God, give this man a budget to deliver a series where it’s all about the cars and his passion for them.
We’re blessed with top drawer automotive journalists in the UK and Harris is right up there with Henry Catchpole and Harry Metcalfe, amongst others, imho.
Looking forward to the next one, Chris…
Insane special
The Delta Integrale is my favourite car.
This is the crossover we never knew we needed.
Crossover? It's a 1990s hatchback in its purest form.
Such a beauty! ❤
That sound ❤👍
Simply legend....👑
Amazing video...my only complaint is I WANT MORE!! Hour long 'grale action would have been spot on 😉
Excellent, but not long enough. You've learned to many things on the big show, editing, fancy shots etc. We just want Chris Harris Drives with Neil as camera man and editor, with the great music he always ran... Thanks boys, WIKID car !
Definitely the best looking rally car ever 😍
Awesome hidden gem of a rally course that is spent many a weekend out there. Surprised its still so unknown. Bit then again it's in the middle of nowhere
My favourite rally car of all time 👍
Back in 1990's we took Greg Carr's Asia Pacific Lancia Delta Integrale to Bathurst in Australia for the touring car race. The Bathurst 1000. We only had it on static display but it was funny watching all the V8 lovers questioning the specs of a turbo 4 cylinder.
It was the same year Denny Hulme, ex F1 world champion, died while racing in a BMW.
Also the same year I got called an Arsehole, as many others in the crowd that day, by Jim Richards for booing his win in a Nissan GTR.
As BMW fans were not happy that a car, Nissan GTR, with limited 4 wheel drive tech could not handle the conditions had fallen of the road. The Sierra's and the BMW's were still circulating when the race was called due to a heavy down pour of rain and the GTR was given the win.
You do not appreciate history until you realise it later in life.
Thanks Lancia, Amazing car.
All-time dream machine
Assolutamente magnifico
One of the best racing cars in the world! A legend!
Even though the sound doesn’t always rev-matches the picture this car deserved vid like this. And it had to be from Chris
I just can't understand how Lancia managed to make the most boxier car ever also one of the most beautiful. The proportions are just perfect
Your best video..
Great video but a part of me would love to see it in Harris's hands on a track like Anglesey. See how it handles in his domain. Be a spectacle for sure.
I know it's a rally car and this was more fitting but I'd have loved to see it turned up to 11 safely.
Good way to start a day
Making short ass video's about cars like this should be illegal. We the people deserve 50 minutes of this!
one of my fav rally cars. Didier use to make them sing too
Bont, fabulous facility for any rally car.... especially a Delta Int...
My 2 fav rally cars of all time are the Lancia Delta and the mk2 escort
More Lancia, please!
What a machine….this & the Ford Escorts & Audi Quattro 🤤
getting to drive that car !!!!!!! bucket
What a job! What a car!
Lancia back in rallying with the Ypsilon Rally4 HF.
We'll gloss over the glaring similarities to the Peugeot 208 / Opel Corsa !
Such a machine... Wow....
MORE GAS CHRIS.............MOOOOOOORE GAS.........THIS CAR CUTS THE ROAD ON HALF ......WOW......TIMELESS CAR.
The Lancia Delta Repsol is of the 1993 World Rallly Championship, not 1992
What a treat. That infamous whine. Car that gave Carlos some problems in 93
ok, we need longer reviews by Chris. They all feel very short
A real rally legend!
