I cant help but notice that in dark side mode, he doesnt deplete his force meter. So this is why dark side characters like Vader and starkiller are so strong. I hope the third game displays alot more of this.

No his force meter still drains, killing enemies refills it.

I was wanting to use the dark side at this point in the game. I was NOT prepared for the game to give me the option to use it. Or for it to be so powerful.

@@OrenFrost lol yoda was only a wise and high key cocky Jedi think of all the people who went up against Vader cause In almost every fight it don’t get intense until he takes damage or get hit his opponent until… drum roll he gets angry which makes the force stronger whit in him but that’s why the darkside sometimes loses because they get so mad it’s hard to see but with Vader he kinda of work up too it and the time he does his opponent is worn out

Damn, even the purge troopers are absolutely terrified of Cal.
It's understandable when you think from the perspective of someone who knows they're in direct conflict with someone with the powers of effectively an eldritch god...and that they have literally zero defense against said powers.
If you go back after the game, you'll find databanks and echoes about how mortified they were while fighting Cal. Nice touch.
Well considering they revere Vader, it's understandable that they would shit bricks knowing they're fighting against someone who is not afraid to tap into the power that makes their master such a fearsome individual.

Yeah because anyone who is force sensitive when enraged can tap into the dark side and instantly get a MASSIVE power spike and STEAMROLL people or obstacles they were having trouble with before
Get someone IRL who's naturally prone to anger and can feel anger deeper than most and give them the force and yeah, they will quickly become a mass death event in no time.

I loved this part of the story. Shows how tempting and consuming the dark side is. Vader is rediculously and hilariously overpowered and toys with his opponents like a child playing a game. I didn't realize the force meter is unlimted during this mode. that heavy gunner choke and spray was genius.
When a purge trooper says "we dont stand a chance" thats how you know things bout to get crazy

@@wanna_nap1444 you have to force pull/grab and just press normal attack, it works only on droids I think, because it would be too brutal (still, crushing a magnaguard is nice).

This was my absolute favorite ability, it really annoys me that I didn’t get to keep it in my new game plus, especially since we only get it right at the literal end. I wanted to see how differently the game would be approaching every situation with the dark side.
I hope Cal overcomes the dark side in the third game. I don't want him to turn to the dark side. Plus look how strong Cere became after letting go of the dark side, Cere felt very similar to this but fully light
I'd imagine the 3rd game will go down 1 of 2 possible routes
1. it's about Cal's descent into darkness and most of his new abilities are Dark Side powers. this will almost certainly end tragically
2. Cal starts at one of his darkest points and the game is about his return to the light, substituting/upgrading his Dark Side powers for Light Side counterparts as you progress.
Cere wasn't nearly this strong, but if we get a light side version of this that'd be cool. That being said dark side cal is really damn cool
or he finally learns to control dark side without losing himself
@@halkras I think he'll probably become a Grey jedi that is almost na eternal protector of tanalor hence why we never see him or is crew in any external star wars media (which imo is a good thing, how tf is this galaxy so "big" yet everyone meets everyone else)
I personally hope that the third game would give us choices that affects the ending. We can choose to turn to the dark side or resist it. That would be so much fun and adds more replay value.
We can actually see how slowly the stormtroopers blaster bolts travel at cal when he is channeling the dark side. If the speed that Cal perceives them going at is indicative of how fast Cal has become then it makes sense that Palpatine was able to kill all the other jedi besides Mace so quickly. They were all reacting to him in slow-mo so Palpatine could quickly out-maneouver and cut them down. The reason that Mace stood a chance was because he was also able to control the dark side and react to palpatine's strikes in real time, thus taking away Palpatine's biggest advantage during the fight.
no the ability was just slowing time down at the beginning but now he uses the dark side and the time slow down

The Palpatine fight scene looks like it is because George made Ian McDiarmid do the lightsaber fight at the last second. There's your lore. The lore of film directing.
My favorite is the force crush against droids when you force grip them and then crush them like Luke in Mando.
How do i do it?
@@shalomproduction6367 You enter darkside mode (L3+R3 on PS5 and you have to unlock it by playing the story at this point in the video), and then when you are in darkside mode you pull an enemy by holding L2 and then press light attack (square).
But this move only works on droids.

In FO I struggle with two of those at a time for 5 minutes and this dude has become so powerful he's able to take out 15+ of them in less than 15 seconds 🤯

This is the mostly unseen but common force power called force rage or dark rage if you play jedi academy
Force Rage isn't canon. And this is have nothing to do with force rage.
Also even in Legends it's fucking rare.

Some purge troopers can't attack you when you Force grip them as in regular mode showing cal has full control of them
He can crush droids and his attacks are more stronger and aggressive
I never noticed they don't attack when you force grip in dark side mode.
I didn't even know he had force crush for droids either. I mostly just one shot them all with force push or slamming them down or up

You can notice the dark side creeping in at the upgrade section. The BG is dark red, i noticed this before going to the map and unlocking it.

He could come even closer than Cere did, but ultimately, as the Chosen One, Vader has access to the incredibly powerful ability: Force Plot Armor
Its definitly possible a dark side Cal could give Vader a terrifying fight.

@@wanna_nap1444 Vader has both. Remember that this is still before A New Hope and Vader dies in Return of the Jedi. Best Cal could hope for is to beat the everliving shit out of Vader and live to tell about it. Which in turn would make Vader focused on him. In other words, if you're not Luke, there's no true victory against Darth Vader. Only Anakin can kill him.

I wish the game allowed you to keep that Imperial outfit! The pants paired with the Jedi robes in black would be perfect for a Luke build.

If he's not an inquisitor, he'll probably take the place as lord!since he's too powerful and if Merrin is killed or he kills her,no one is going to stop him from going to the dark side.Don't forget that exactly the same thing happened with Anakin! He began as a noble Jedi until power consumed him and he even murdered his own wife.

2-He murdered all the inquisitors and probably exceeds the level of Grand Inquisitor.
3-He killed several rebel jedis more experienced and older than like Bode Akuna.
And most importantly, his story is unique and exclusive to this saga,he is the last living jedi and don't put "Rey" from the movies because she was never a jedi,she was a "palpatine"genetically created like her grandfather!
Cal doesn't interfere with the movies or lore, if the creators choose to make him the most powerful of all, they'll do it because they can!
Lucas Films has already sold all its work to Disney and the latter can invent the story that is sung to them.

@justincummings8557 yeah force rage severely weakens the user for a while. And if the light side users use this ability it could cut them off from the force. Cal Is giving into rage and using the dark side which by using hate, your force abilities enhance and you loose all composure.

How long does this ability last in the story? Does it go away? Im afraid to progess the story because this makes Cal so much stronger! I easily killed multiple bounty hunters and even a rancor on Koboh. I don't want to progress the story and lose this power before i'm done with it.

This right here is why the Sith (technically) always won their conflicts with the Jedi. Palpy may be dead, but the Empire still stands.
The Sith have the power and *will* to back up their convictions, unlike the Jedi, and are still capable of compassion, love and emotion in order to rule like people, not machines.
Spewing peace talk doesn't get things done, and restraint doesn't convince your enemies to surrender, overwhelming power does. Anger is always associated with negativity, like it's a bad thing, while in basic psychology experiencing anger is *good,* it helps a person process frustration factors. There have been Sith in history capable of good deeds, but for some reason barely any memorable Jedi capable of tapping into anger to fuel their force capabilities and staying themselves. Wonder why that is

Radial pull + AOE lightsaber throw? That’s what I’m talking about. The amount of times I’ve seen people just square attack one by one boggled my mind, but I guess it just came more naturally to me because I exclusively used the double blade stance so I’m used to doing that already.
