It was only through Cal’s influence, and I’d argue primarily through stabbing Dagan, that the illusion broke enough to allow Bode to move again. Dagan on the other hand views Bode as pathetic. A non threat. So that coupled with his illusion immobilizing Bode I’m not surprised he didn’t view Bode as a threat
"light" and "dark" side skills are really vague as it is tbh at the end of the day most "dark" side abilities are just abilities fueled by emotions, and letting your feelings control you and fuel you can be dangerous so they call it "dark"

@@lumberluc I’ve played kotor 2 and that’s a completely seperate ability. There are good break downs on it. Kreia can have an lightsaber in both hands (before it got cut off in the beginning of the game) and still have three floating lightsabers attacking and defending.

He is not using the dark side here though. Just because he feels angry and shamed while lying on the ground doesn't mean that he is using these emotions. Jedi can have those emotions they just try to not give in to them. Sith and fallen Jedi often see Jedi having those emotions without using them as a form of weakness but in reality it's the ultimate strength. Even more impressive is using one's own strenght in the light side to use the darkness of your opponent against them (like Mace Windu using Vaapad) Cal does this here as he said at 5:45.
Cal was completely outclassed by this High Republic Jedi. Only won due to a cheap trick. Should’ve kept him alive for another game tho. Daegan vs Vader would’ve been interesting

Missed opportunity for a 3 on 1 fight where Cal, Bode and Merrin all gang up on Dagan and still barely survive, not only to emphasize just how big of a threat Dagan actually was but also because I find it really weird that Merrin would just sit back and wait while Cal goes straight into the Lion's den with just Bode as backup, it just feels out of character for her. It would also be awesome as fuck to get at least one fight where you have two companions to spam instead of just one.
If I'm just a normal person in the Star Wars world, I would've stolen all the lightsabers from all the dead Jedis and Siths. Not like they could bring it to the grave with them.

I just finished Jedi survivor story and dagan was the best part and most interesting, it felt like so unique and didn’t feel like Star Wars but when he died, the story became less interesting although the darth vader scene was cool but still rayvis and dagan were amazing, after his death the story felt generic as we had to fight the empire as usual
