I watched this match with a group of Brazilian friends and they all hated that I called Gordon winning by “however he wants” and by the end of the night none of them would even look at me while we all left.

Writing that he would win by triangle then winning by triangle against a tough opponent like that is akin to Babe Ruth pointing to the stands and hitting a home run. Granted he could have rubbed it in his face first and said, "I'll sub you with a triangle"... but this is pretty close. Amazing 👏 🙀
It's not just that , it's the fact that he gave away great position JUST so he could finish him the way he wanted that's absolutely insane

Guard Passing Note: at 07:15, Gordon Raises his inside right ankle high with that ankle to ankle grip, not allowing Rocha to invert his right knee down to elbow escape and recover. With the punishing crossface, Gordon was able to flatten Rocha out and pass that pesky bottom right knee of Rocha to go into a proper half guard. This all happened after Gordon was able to trap Rocha's far left elbow because Rocha crossed it past the centre line.

The psychology that plays into this is incredible. Gordon clearly could finish Vagner faster, but chooses the route that will drain his gas tank, demoralize him, and fulfill his own prediction instead.

Some constructive criticism? Try to listen if you cannot hear someone, don't talk constantly using the words "I don't know what he's saying" "I can't quite hear them" meanwhile you are talking over them... do you see the issue? Thank you for the content.
While Gordon does usually have a weight advantage these days, he's crushing the best BJJ players in the world with relative ease.
He is significantly stronger than opponents in addition to the technique. A lot of matches won in genetics and hard work before they even begin.

@flograpping - stop this man (Hywel Teague) from talking over every single good match. He must have said out loud 7-8 time that he couldn't hear the competitors and then just continued to talk over them. Please do something about this.

Vagner looked like a fun training dummy for Gordon. Difference of performance was as distant as white to purple. It seemed like Gordon didnt want to finish him right away. Instead just completely dominate from every position and finish at the end

So, I stumbled onto this. I'm not very familiar with any professional fighting league, other than the UFC and other MMA venues. So, this Gordon Ryan; how would (some) of the Gracie or Macahdo family members, do with Gordan? Or, has that already occurred? Clearly, Gordon is amazing!
He's beaten a Gracie before (Dominated Ralek Graci) and beat a majority of GracieJJ affiliates/Brazillian fighters. Only people to have gotten a win against him in the past 5 or so years are Felipe Pena x2, Leandro Lo (rip), and vinny magalhaes. He was last submitted in 2016, barely a year after being granted his black belt and about 5-6 years from his first jiu jitsu class. His last loss was in 2018 via points and he's in a massive winstreak. He's beaten pretty much everyone else that's good in No Gi. In no gi grappling ruleset the only Gracie that comes close are renzo and roger - all retired and part of an older generatin. Gord's out-achieved roger by now in nogi, and gord is basically renzo's student's student (gord's blackbelt came from john danaher, who got it from renzo)
