  • Step-by-step guide on how to lessen the blue tint on LED TVs.
If your TV has been used for many hours or the blue tint doesn't go away when you change your picture settings then it's likely because your LEDs have worn out over time. The solution I show lets you tweak the colors so you can get rid of most of the blue.
Steps in this video (see below for alternatives):
    1. Identify the model of your TV by looking at the sticker on the back. Mine is a LG LG 49UF6400 4K UHD Smart TV.
    2. Buy a service remote. The one I bought is the MKJ39170828. Amazon Smile link: smile.amazon.com/MKJ39170828-Replacement-Service-Remote-Control/dp/B075M91STG
    3. Enter the EZADJUST menu. The PIN for this TV is 0413.
    4. Go to White Balance.
    5. Tweak the settings as desired.
An alternative to buying a remote is the virtual remote Color Control, although it won't work on some TVs including mine. Here's a guide on reddit: reddit.com/r/OLED_Gaming/comments/sbords/how_to_access_lg_service_menu_without_the_service/
I recommend connecting a computer to the TV to put on different images to test your changes as you go. Choose different kinds such as nature scenes, closeups of people, cartoons, and so on.
