At least these older LED backlights can be repaired. You can't repair an Oled panel and LG's 5 year warranty only covers the cost of the panel, you have to pay for the labour. A good reason not to buy an Oled, they do fail, my neigbours C3 lasted two weeks from new !
Wish i had skills like that. What is the rough price of a job like that? If that was my TV i would would have binned it and got another, id have thought the price to repair would not be worth it.

Getting the back of the UH is never pleasant if its the one I'm thinking of. The UH and UJ are good sets, the UK, not so much!

My samsung seems to have 3 purple spots - I am wondering if it is the same issue as this?
