I haven't interacted a lot but I really love your content it changes it fells a lot better than all the others youtubers that are only speaking loudly and don't understand a game well as well as your editing you manage to show only the interesting parts and I can see your dedication i every video you post. I started to watch you on your DSP serie and I love your cotent since then ! I hope this comment give you the energy and determination to post quality content like always and don't give up on this serie as well as offset a bit my lack of interactions (like or comments) !!!

I always recommend putting a Low-Pressure Turbine(s) right before Cooling Towers. Cooling towers will turn depleted steam into the same amount of water as low pressure steam, so you get some mechanical power (and thus electricity) for free. Just set the Priority on the turbines to 1 so your colony will use that power before anything else.
I tried that at first, but the output from the exhaust scrubbers is too intermittent, and the generator spends most of its time spinning up and spinning down at very low efficiency
@@Benabik the way I see it, yes it spends time starting and stopping, but considering it is otherwise a wasted resource any electricity is more efficient than no electricity. The only time I wouldn't do it, is when you are struggling for workers. Even then you could put a pipe balancer before it with the priority towards the low-pressure turbine and the other output towards the cooling tower directly, that way if you need to pause the low-pressure turbine to save on workers you can and it should still work.

@10:45 If you run the compost into a mixer with some water it will make organic fertilizer for your farms.
I combined the trash incinerators with the waste water treatment so I can use the fuel gas from the treatment stage to power the incinerators.
Extra fuel gas goes to a gas boiler to make steam. All the steam powers thermal desal units and Include an exhaust scrubber for good measure.
Brine from the desal is processed into chlorine for the water treatment. Excess brine is dumped.
Water is then split with some going to the refinery and back to the city water supply.

It doesn't make sense why you would make the input belts so close to the blast furnaces and have to use a lift to drop them down when you can just back them up a tile or two. You have lots of wasted space in your build between the caster and the blast furnace. Just shift that space to between belts and blast furnaces and you'll be overall better off and save power and construction parts.
Also nice reference to Dune: Messiah with the water going back to Shai-Hulud

@32:48 I believe it is the wrong direction. You later click on the balancer and it’s set to output to that pipe, not input I think.
