This song sounds exactly like the post-punk new wave synth-pop bands from the first half of the 80's
the video also reminds me a lot of those made in that era for said bands

no it doesnt. this is way more produced, and the bass is way heavier than early synth pop.

For all the people here questioning the music video: when your music is shit and says nothing, the producers will compensate with amazing, mind blowing videos. When you aren't mainstream and you lack the funds, you do what you can. And I like Austra for the music not for their videos.
The music video isn't bad anyway. There's some interesting themes.

I love that so much. Everyone has their own interpretation but for me it channels being the one in the front finally, the leader, the one to make the decisions, and no one shows, cares, sticks to the plans made.
