Man thank you so much! Mine blew the other day on my 04 Escalade and I was not trying to do the whole dash pull to replace it.. Think I have to replace my blower motor too, but at least I know how to get to the heater core.
The UA-cam algorithm is pretty tricky. 1 viral video can get you big overnight. I dont care to be "internet famous " but wouldn't mind getting our monetization turned on. Gotta get 1k followers and 4k watch hours to do so
@@RedBanksClassics thanks, I just finished the job took me 2 days because I did not cut the hole big enough and kept trying to shove the new part in....lol. I had to cut more of the plastic housing and now I have the 2 big pieces from the front 2 narrow pieces from the front to make the hole bigger and a bottom and top piece that cracked off when I tried to bend them. Also I shaved off a little from one of the plastic guides inside the housing which created another hole. I am going to try to seal it with flex tape from the outside since I got the part finally in its spot. I wish there was a more detailed video showing where to exactly cut so I would only have 2 piece to put back together. I hope I can put them together and seal everything so there are no leaks or air escaping.
Great Video Banks That’s Much Easier Than Pulling out The Dash! Ive learned Something New!🔥🔥💯💯
Thank you I was wondering what that green liquid was coming from after I poked a hole in the filter time to pull out my grinder😂😂
May have cut too deep 😂
Exactly where mine was leaking, it took me like half year to find it,

very helpful 👍
is that spray insulation you used to put it back together
What is the white stuff you put around the evaporator? How has it been working since doing the job?
We siliconed/great stuffed it back shut. It has worked perfectly for a year now.
@@RedBanksClassics what brand silicone?
@@nycboy121 I honestly don't remember probably some left laying in the toolbox, that was so old it was hard half the tube
How did you put the plastic pieces from the housing back together?
Jb weld

@@nycboy121 all else fails, flexseal
@@RedBanksClassics Thanks I finally put the part in place now to try to seal it up. Will let you know how it goes.
Is the glove box able to go back? I was thinking you cut off the glove box box brackets
Is there o rings or seals that have to be replaced on that evaporator?
Yes, but the evap comes with them......atleast the one we got for it did 👍
Reminds me of the nightmare of replacing the heater core in my 1986 Ford Ranger, years ago.
They should make this easier from the factory
@@RedBanksClassics That's what makes older vehicles better, when they break, they're much easier to work on.
how does the glove box look when you put it back in
It’s normal.
👍
Ya do that up a customer's suv. 🤦♂️
Just gonna leak threw the tape this is pretty stupid, previous owner on my Tahoe did this now I gotta pull dash and get another one
Seal it better and don’t wast 2k on a 1k truck. This one doesn’t leak
