Mega Private Lego Collection Tour. Exclusive look around a Lego fans amazing collection of rare Lego

- I was invited recently by a fellow Lego fan Tyrone, to view his vast Lego collection - an opportunity that was too good to pass on!
The tour of Tyrone's collection includes a look at the many older, sealed sets that he has in his collection, as well as a tour of his Lego den, which has a huge array of Lego sets, pieces and mini-figures, as well as a number of very rare sets and mini-figures, some of which I have never seen before.
If you do live in Hampshire in the UK, then you may be interested in visiting the Hampshire Brick Event which will be held at the Genesis Centre in Locks Heath, near Southampton (SO31 6DF) on Saturday 28th October 2023. Entry is only £1 and there will be Lego displays as well as Lego sellers with rare and unusual sets, an event that Tyrone has been running for a number of years and I can confirm that it is a fantastic event to visit if you are able to.

Great tour! So much history. I am 51 so I have my Lego, and my husband’s Lego from the 70’s and early 80’s. I still like the Lego people with their larger bodies. Mini figures came out as I became a teenager and didn’t play with my stuff anymore.

What a brilliant video, very envikous, might be an idea to blank out the address shown written on a brown box though, otherwise there might be queues at the door wanting to look around!

What a fantastic video Iain. It's an amazing insight in to the crazy world of Lego collecting. I thought we as Lego investors had a lot of Lego but we look like small fish compaired to that collection. Its absolutely amazing. It's like stepping back in time. Once again, great content Iain. 😀

Absolutely more than 5k figures. Ive got 1.1k figures not counting duplicates and it is nowhere even close to what he has. This collection is insane.
Still, 1100 figs is very impressive

Only just beginning my Lego journey at 49 years of age lol but I'm hooked trying to collect and build the investing side ,I'm in Hampshire near Fareham so think,i will check out the event .

Yes, a very nice collection. I didn't think he was rough with the collection though. It was very well looked after.
I've been looking for a Lego mirror box that makes holograms for about 3 years, until now I've been left with the card containing the video and the walls, all I'm missing is the empty box!
The hologram looked really great, but didn't come across too well on video.

Wonderfull collection, Here in Netherlands these kind of collections are very hard to get an insurance on in case of fire or water damage. How does that work in UK?
It certainly is. I didn't ask about insurance, but I guess Tyrone had this covered on his home and contents insurance.
i see a few people asking about insurance . i have this insured under a specialist collectors insurance

I really do - although I did know that the cowboy Lego town set was from 1980, so I do have some historical Lego knowledge

It definitely is. Yes, most huge collections appear to be from people in the USA.
I wondered what happened to the video, though I didn’t have any issue with the audio and I watched it on the UA-cam app on my IPad.
That is a hell of a lot of Lego, I don’t know if he has a record of his sets on a spreadsheet but if he hasn’t I imagine there must be sets he forgets he has.
No idea what happened with the first video. I tried myself and I got audio on my laptop but not when I tried watching it on my phone. Very weird!
I never asked if he had a spreadsheet but I'm sure he has some sort of list. His organisation was amazing and he knew where everything was.

I think he only does events in Hampshire I'm afraid. He has a lot of Star wars as that is his favourite theme.
tell you truth I don't know how people do it, buying very nice Lego set and don't open box. unless they are not a collector more reselling set
Hi - yes, it is very hard sometimes to buy a set knowing I won't be building it and keeping it sealed. I do build some sets though as I need my Lego fix from time to time.
