This video shows the usefulness of a 'zipper presser feet'. How easy we can sew zippers, windlace trims/big weltings or pipings, and small standard upholstery pipings. Even though I did not mention in the video it is also useful to sew J plastic clips.
We would realize at the beginning of the video how difficult would be to sew some trims closer by using a 'standard presser foot'.
But things turned out easier when I used the 'zipper foot'.
These 'zipper feet' are for sale online and some stores. I preferred to do one of my own out of an extra standard foot I had.
I hope you find this information useful!

You explained everything very well, let me tell you that you tell us everything so well that it is worth a million languages, no matter what language, anyone can understand, very good for the mute. the best thing i've ever seen keep making this good videos for the whole world
I love how on all your technique demonstrations you always go through the basics in properly starting and stopping your stitches, and clip off loose threads, etc. This is great emphasis for beginners. Basics, basics, basics. In any craft, there is little hope in mastering the advanced stuff until you understand and master the art of always exercising the basics.
Excellent video. I was using a standard piping foot which is great until you hit a 90 degree corner. I was going to grind down my zipper foot but instead I will take a cut off wheel and cut half so that the needle can get adjacent to the piping. Thanks!!!

nice work!! and very nice pfaff!!
You are genius!
Perfecto!

Thank you for this, i'm going to try it.
Good lord I only want to sew on a zip. You be teaching me to be a spot welder next lmao
Great idea for any projects with materials going inside of machine arm .yet not ideal for anything with piping on larger projects to big to fit under arm.
Спасибо! Для знаний очень даже полезно.
I am glad this video is useful!
I guess if you have an extra one laying around....then yes! Why not!? Better than waiting for another purchase to show up and potentially not work as nicely as a custom grinded one that fits your purpose!
Love the idea!
I love this video, thank you!

There should be a ❤button for this vid!!! I was just about to buy different sizes of cording feet! I'd rather spin the money on a dremel...thanks!
I am glad the video is useful! The 'zipper foot works' perfectly. Hopefully, you could get the appropriate presser foot online.

Se le redujo la velocidad al 'motor de clutch' de la máquina: Una polea mas pequeña al motor y una palanca mas larga en la base para tener un mejor control.

Hey Cesar, hope you and the family are well brother. Great video as usual! Ive seen your modified foot in a lot of other videos would you say its pretty universal and can use it as a "standard foot"?
I like to make modifications to my sewing machine presser feet to ease the different sewing processes in car or furniture upholstery. In fact most of these presser-feet are already for sale on the internet (Amazon, Ebay, AliExpress, etc.)

@@Cechaflo Great response time! Yeah all the greats modify their sewing machine feet! One of my trimmers that helps build Harley Davidson prototype seats made his own feet out of wood ha. idk if you remember me but I import that specialty glass optical fibre LED light guides (same diameter as auto welt cord) and turn into welts and sell to global aftermarket (for years it was only allowed to be sold to major OEM's now its OEMs and.... me lol) for easy attachment to projects. Im about to chop and grind my Siekos standard presser foot. That is what you did correct? Thanks in advance!

So i noticed you have great control over your speed with that clutch motor. Do you have a speed reducer, really good brushes or both? It's good to see a high quality stitch from an old Pfaff.
Hello, I have adapted an smaller pulley below. Besides, the lever that comes from the pedal to the motor has been elongated to get a better control. I would recommend the use of a servo motor.

These narrow feet are called zipper presser foot. There are left and right. In the worst case scenerario a standard foot can be cut off (legs and toes) according to our requirements.www.ebay.com/itm/3SET-Double-Toe-Right-Toe-Presser-Feet-19029-For-Pfaff-335-145-245-545-1245-/264294879535

how do you do that backward move at 4:29 if you have that automatic "material movement thing" underneath running in oposite side? Secont question - why you add that move at the end of seeweing?
Great to be inquisitive! I have showed two ways of backtacking to secure the sewing. The one of min 4:29 is done by using the 'knee lever' and I move the material just a little to backtack no more than threee stitches. The other way I do not use much is by using the 'standard backtacking lever on front part of the machine'. We should take care of not overtack too much. Sometimes it is difficult to control.
Thanks so much for watching the videos!
Great video, thanks for making it! I've got to make some wind lacing for a 1932 Ford, so this will come in handy. What size cord did you use and is it available from auto upholstery supply? Thanks César.
I used a 1/2" of an inch piping cord. I bought it in a hardware store. Yes, I now remember there were several calibers for these kinds of rope. A rubber hose is also useful. Try to do a test beforehand to find out which one is the best for the project.
Do not forget the use of a zipper foot.www.ebay.com/itm/232028852110

@@Cechaflo Excellent, thank you! I'm also thinking of buying some piping feet for smaller diameter cord. I'm going to do mostly vinyl and if I get better, maybe some leather. Do you recommend feet with or without teeth? Thanks again!
@@danh.122 I would go for those with no teeth that would nicely work out on soft (some fabrics, vinyls and leathers) and heavy duty materials (hard leathers, vinyls, etc.).
