Gua sha is a modality that helps restore health to the body, especially chronic conditions. It also can help a body release chronic pain and injury - I experience it all the time in my own body as well as in my clients . I use it along with my deep tissue massage for best results .
I am a certified Massage Therapist, Personal Trainer, and former Pro Athelete that currently has Fibromyalgia and Chonic Fatigue. I experienced many many injuries as an athlete, and now can use that knowledge to help others. I was tutored by an amazing massage therapist and want to share some of these techniques with others. I know how hard it is to find a good therapist that can help you get exactly what you want out of a massage.
I was a successful Spartan Athlete because I knew how to tap into the power of the mind to acheive athletic goals. After a really stressful period, I developed these conditions and my professional career ended abruptly. I spent 2 years in the depths of depression, severe Chronic Fatigue, and Fibromyalgia. I know that it was past trauma that got me into that mess, and know that by using the power of my mind that I can heal. I will never give up searching for ways to be in complete remission - I can't and I won't.
Sometimes I feel like giving up
    But i Just Can't
    It isn't in my blood.
I've learned so much through my formal and informal education on these subjects, and I want to share it all and help others through their hard times. Feel free to PM me.

I’m am ALL ABOUT trying new devices - I’ve been using this thing with roller balls and it’s been very good for breaking down the connective tissue - painful when I started but weeks later it’s gone - and it allows you to work on smaller muscles around the knee and hip. It’s called “Zenzation Athletics Rejuvenate Hand-Held Roller”

I’m addicted to your channel which I just discovered. Gua sha absolutely does work and I love how dedicated and passionate you are about what you do. Fibro and trauma sufferer here too. If you ever get a chance to try reiki energy work I highly recommend that too :) Blessings.

What has gua sha benefited for you and also reiki? Its seems like a placebo effect with the energy thing

Thank you so much for this!! I have had CFS for 20 years.. I used to do weight training even with CFS . Like you said no exercising, not moving makes it so much worse! the decline is rapid..or maybe it's my going into "older age " now at 55. 6 years ago I made a silly over lift ( i knew better) in the gym and my neck hasn't been the same.. I also used do to massage I can tell there is alot of scar tissue build up on the right side. where the trap connects to the neck. I haven't been able to lift since 2016.. I miss it so much but everytime I try even light that right side pinches and pulls. What I have noticed since i stopped lifting is everything with the CFS is going downhill fast! I really want /need to get back to some weight training and build strenght back up. How does someone do the Gua Sha on themselfs especially in that area? Weight training helped so much with my balance, memory and even basic care around my apartment was much easier. I am in the SF bay area is there anyway to get this old injury gone so I can try to get / keep mybody moving again ? thank you so much.

SCRAPE-AWAY hey I would love to hear more about this my friend. My husband’s Dad suffered from this and I would love to know more about how it helped. Were you doing scraping around the ear/ face area?

Zions edge massage I scrape my whole body . I found out it just 1.5 months ago . I went to chiropractor for one year , Thai massage didn't help for half a year didn't really helped . Traditional massage released whole body pain for short period of time and then it came back less then one week . I found out by chance scraping would leave red spots on my body and then in several days they would vanish . It gave me release . I have bumps in my neck , shoulders , upper back which takes most time to release . Every day I scrape them . After 1 months I noticed they become smaller . I just hope once upon a time they will become flat and won't hurt anymore . I scrape also face and head . Cause fascia is everywhere even on bones in shoulder area . I notice there where was red spots they don't come anymore or at least not so much . Sometimes I had blue spots in some area on legs mainly which go away . I noticed I got more energy , sleeping better wake up good , not dizzy especially when turning neck . Tinitus sometimes louder sometimes less . I had much cracks in my neck all the time became much better and I can rotate neck almost completely without restrictions . I know there is still long way to release myself . I believe in Chinese way of healing . My boyfriend thinks I became crazy cause it looks scary with this bruises . I take picture of them . I tried foam rollers , tennis balls gave only temporary release . Gives also nice feeling to scrape it's like meditation and relaxing . I'm using different instruments for different parts of the body to scrape . Used to run marathons also in the past I think it caused blockage of fascia . I scrape also spine . Hope this explanation will help many people . Thanks for your helpful videos . Not so many people know about this type of massage

I think some of this can be managed with red light therapy. I used to use gua sha now and then, but with red light I usually don't even think of it. Red light therapy tends to work great on tired muscles close to the skin. I'm not knocking gua sha and cupping at all, I just think red light therapy might be of interest to those that find this helps.

Thank you! Discovered your videos a couple of months ago and it’s made such a big difference! I’m loving the iastm bar you recommended and the trigger point book. Is there any way/tools to scrape your neck and traps yourself? I want to be able do this every week or so.

Oh man I wish! I would be all over that! You can get whatever you can reach, but your best bet is to teach someone how to do it on you. Or pay a therapist. Its rough because those are usually the muscles that most people really need done.

Isn't it just popping some superficial blood vessels? normal massage is supposed to break fascia adhesions as well, but I don't see any blood appearing even from hard massage

    • @Zionsedgemassage

hi there - I actually sometimes have Petechia occur when working on the chest muscles and The supraspinatus in normal massage - so it can happen. But it brings the body back into a healing state instead of a protective state. The beauty industry uses this same idea right now with a popular technique known as micro needling.
