  • I use Gua Sha to fix the cause of Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue and it has given me my life back. I didn't get any help from my doctors, so I had to find different ways to manage all these symptoms I was having. Going into massage therapy helped me to develop a deep understanding of what goes on in the body when it is feeling like this: And my thirst of knowledge led me to many books and research that has uncovered truths but is not taught yet in medical schools.

    I am almost 57 years old and was diagnosed with fibro when I was about 41 or so. Medication has not worked well for me. Mind-based stress reduction, osteopathy, and therapeutic Pilates all helped to make it manageable, but it is just managed. Gua sha seems to make sense to me. I do really think it is my fascia, and I can feel all the adhesions. I will watch your videos about how to do gua sha, and go from there. Thank you for posting this.

    Great video, full of helpful information to aid healing. Thank you very much for taking the time to share what you learned! You really did such a great job and I can feel how earnest you are in wanting to help others with the knowledge of what worked for you.
    Is it counterproductive or less ideal to use the tool on your own shoulders since the muscles are so contracted while trying to reach your hand with the tool up to your shoulders? Is it more ideal if someone else can do places like that for you? Thank you in advance if you are able to answer! 😊

    I have had Fibromyalgia for the past 12 years. It's been so severe because it was being triggered by electromagnetic frequencies from wireless technology so I'm on disability and avoiding public places all the time. It's gotten particularly worse over the last 2 years and I had lost a lot of function. I learnt about Gua Sha a few months ago and bought a Bian Stone, mostly for anti-aging. I started with the face and noticed all these little lumps and pain when I did it so I kept going, bringing out lots of blockages and bumps. Now they're all gone and my sinuses and whole body function started to improve (the face contains a lot of body meridians). So I started to work on my body. Well I had no idea how blocked up my fascia was. I had so many calcified bumps the size of peas everywhere. My arms and legs were the worst. Cellulite on all of them, which is a lymphatic issue. I could feel all the fascia stuck to muscle in my arms and I'm gradually working it all out. My function has improved dramatically and I've been able to do so much more without any Fibro pain or new lumps forming. I learnt recently that anyone whose had their tonsils removed will have lymph issues because the tonsils are the master control for the lymphatic system so I think in many cases this can contribute to Fibromyalgia conditions. Thank you so much for posting this video, it's very inspiring.

    I am very interested but the thought terrifies me. More days than not, just my clothes touching my skin is enough to bring tears.
    Also, besides large muscles like thighs, arms, & neck (very common), my hands and feet are my problem areas, especially fingers. How do you scrape these boney areas?

    Thank you so much for doing your video!!. Ive had Fibromyalgia since I was 12 & I'm now 50.I was wondering, instead of using that gua sha tool, is it possible to use the handheld massagers with the balls on the end instead? Are those tools really needed in order to do this type of Massage? Thank you for your info!

      motivate4change1 First off, I’m sorry that you have had it so long! I wonder if something traumatic happened at the age or just before.
      So for the massage you are talking about, is it the fascia blaster that you have? If that’s it I’m not entirely sure it will be as successful. Like cupping for me doesn’t do as much, but over time it will def help. If you do want to try Gua sha, you can do it with a jar lid (so you can try it today!).

    Well this is the fifth video of yours that I've watched today as I just received a cupping session for the first time and it really intrigued me. You mentioned fibromyalgia and I'm not sure if that's what I have or not but I know that my body has been feeling worse over the last couple of years. Very low energy great difficulty sleeping due to pain. I'm not one for medications, I've been making some adjustments in my food and my supplementation with turmeric, ginger, lemon etc.. I really think I'm going to purchase a set of these cups and I like the ones that have the screw-tops on them, I have no problem to wash them by hand. Is there an actual test for fibromyalgia i.e. blood test etc.? Another thing I really like about your videos is that when I look at the thumbs up, thumbs down, all I see are thumbs up. Kudos to you, keep doing what you're doing.

    • @Zionsedgemassage
      @Zionsedgemassage  3 роки тому +1

      Thank you so much Andre. There isn't an actual blood test, but there is a method doctors use. They don't really understand it however - and I haven't found any prescriptions that actually help me.
      I would def try a tool whether it be gua sha or cupping for sure. I would include exercise with intervals (work with equal rest segments) to strengthen you nervous system as well.

    Thank you for the video! You say: do this massage before running..at this stage my will power keeps me walking..(used to be a gymnast having problems for a year). So it might be interesting an advice how to go step by step. Also having irritated eyes. How (do you think) is related to fibro. Thanks and really looking forward yr answer from Hungary. • @Zionsedgemassage
      @Zionsedgemassage  3 роки тому

      Judit Kádár I’m so sorry to hear that. Yes it can be absolutely life changing- but keep it up (the Gua sha).
      I honestly have never been rested but I and a couple docs suspect I may have Sjogrens- (autoimmune disease)- one of the symptoms is dry gritty eyes. But I’m a big believer in not giving things Power. Our thoughts can defeat you us- I see it often when people receive a diagnosis. They become their disease. So I continually tell myself that I’m helping and and don’t HAVE anything.
      Yes I run and lift weights- but I had to build up to that with graded exercise therapy. I’m actually constructing a plan for people to follow to get out of chronic fatigue. It’s hard to explain I’m a description. 😍

      @@Zionsedgemassage Im sorry to say that, but Im kind of sceptical about your illness:( (with all my respect) I've ve talked to hundreds of people with fibro, Sjörgen, Lyme etc (athletes, dancers,gymnasts) None of them can run..lifting weights? no way:-D Because you can do those exercises (because of your muscles from past sport activities) but AFTER you get flare ups which basically paralize you. "I honestly have never been rested"..it means you have never been ill:) Gua sha..doesnt help me, massage feels good, but thats allThis condition is much more complex than described in your video.Have a nice day

    • @Zionsedgemassage
      @Zionsedgemassage  3 роки тому

      Judit Kádár WOW ok- it’s exactly this type of circular thinking that keeps people in their illness. I can show you study after study that shows how some people manage it and pull out of it. It’s never gone- but manageable. That’s where I’m at. One of my good friends has lupus and does CrossFit. It’s proven that our mental state can affect our condition. On top of that- I work with clients ALL THE TIME and help that get their lives back. Those with chronic fatigue, autoimmune diseases. My best friend has AS and Gua sha makes her absolutely functional.
      Read the book “cure” by Jo Marchant and you may have your eyes opened to what is possible .
      It’s not just me who suspects these things - so do my doctors (so how can you say I don’t have fibro- there’s no actual test for it)
      And I do have flare ups- I actually live with this all the time. I am extremely mentally strong and push through a lot). But I spent 2 years in bed, and 3 years building up my nervous system to the point where I am. My body shook all of the time. My eyes burned and muscles absolutely ached. When I get flare ups- this comes back but I know how to get back now.
      One of the top CrossFit coaches in the country actual has written about how weight lifting is extremely beneficial for people with fibro. I personally don’t think running is great- but it’s such a part of me that I still do it. It will never feel normal again- and I mostly run interval style (run and rest). But Gua sha and graded exercise therapy (done together) can strengthen someone’s nervous system to the point where they can exercise again. I stake everything I have on this claim. I’ve seen it over and over.

I suggest you to make videos on it that way we can learn step by step.Fibro is not quite invisible , you can have swollen joints an extrem ill looking face, Sjörgen is definetelly not invisible.Athletes usually have strong will power,myself keep pushing till the unmanagable pain (with exercises and work).(in a same time thinking about wether its normal to abuse my body...when it says NO.) Never missed a minute from my work because of fibro, Hashimoto and who knows what else.. "work with clients ALL THE TIME and help that get their lives back" - Can they appear on your videos? "But I spent 2 years in bed, and 3 years building up my nervous system to the point where I am" - great. How?:) "When I get flare ups- this comes back but I know how to get back now.

      Modern medicine is amazing if you get in a car wreck, have a failing kidney, or have a life threatening infection. However doctors in the US are literally the last people I would go to to help with pain, chronic pain, or injuries. I get clients on my table ALL THE TIME, EVERYDAY that have been told they need a surgery , or to take extended periods of time off. They often walk out of my mine (and other massage therapists’) treatments pain free. Surgeons who are supposed to know their stuff are not motivated by conservative treatments. Podiatrists are particularly guilty of trying to fix plantar fasciitis with a knife. The doctors only have prescriptions to hand out. They don’t touch you. They 1000% don’t know hold to heal an injury.
      I would be OVERJOYED to talk to the CDC about my findings. I would give anything to do a clinical study with my technique. My only motive here is to help people.

      @@youknowcrimedontpay9257 I’m truly sorry you have suffered with this. And you are exactly right. Modern medicine does nothing for this. I spent 10s of 1000s of dollars trying to get better. A lot of new literature on fibro talks about how much massage helps, especially deep tissue and rolphing. This is a form of Fascial massage- and despite your misgivings - absolutely helps. Mine is never gone- if I do too much I can irritate those areas again. But I 1000% disagree that nothing can be done. I’m living proof of it and I help people all of the time.
