Such a beautiful k5, I have never seen yellow on a k5 in my side of the world, absolute beauty. I've a blue and white and would pick yellow and black in a heartbeat if the chance came up. You wouldn't be the first to complain about the gsxr1000 brakes and definitely not the last. I was in absolute shock when I rode a k6 for the first time about the lever feel before the brakes started working. Have done as most have suggested with the braided lines and upgraded pads and stumbled across this video when I was looking for 2011+ gsxr1000 brembo brake upgrades for the k6. Thanks for sharing
@@SR22VET-S15 you are very welcome! As far as I know they didn’t make very many yellow and black ones. And they only made them in 05. I appreciate you watching!
I just looked at a new GSX-R 750 the other day. That thing is sweet. Nice job changing all these parts. Always a crap shoot looking on the internet to find out how to do stuff like this. Glad it worked out for you.
Very nice edit ,crisp and to the point .What a huge difference in lever position from the old set to new .This will definately help many fellow bikers trying to accomplish something similar . Well done ,as always .Have a great Christmas and a solid 24 .Cheers
Nice job, man. It's 60° degrees here today! I just had to put the battery back in the Drz and fire it up. Then, I thought, what the hell, take a little ride... 75 miles later I pulled back into the garage! 😅. Middle of December, Man! That's a first for me..😅. Hope you all are doing well and having a wonderful Holiday. 🎄. Remember the reason for the season. ✝️
Very good video im about to do the same on my 600. One question, i see u use the same gsxr bolts on the r6 calipers, wich torque u use? the r6 ones or the gsxr's¿? Also the brake lines did u use an gsxr model one or r6?
I have a k7. Nissin master sucks. I had it replaced under warranty once before and I ended up buying the brembo 19rcs after it started to feel slushy again. I wish I had done it years ago when I bought the bike new. I’m saving up to overhaul the entire brake system.

Noobie here. Did you have any trouble with “centering” the pads on the brake disc for maximum contact so they werent sitting too far in or too far out? Or did the spacers index the caliper at the right distance for that?
That’s what the spacers were for. If I would have just attached he’d the calipers, the rotor would have bottomed out in the caliper. Learn experience. Rode it yesterday. It did amazing!
these mf chinese doods that sent me the spacers are pissin me off lmao. female side that goes onto the dowels in the forks is too shallow. i tell the seller, after a week of them dragging out the convo, they sent me replacements. after a week of waiting for the "replacements" they just send me the same damn product again... thinking of drilling them out but then i have exposed aluminum.... gonna go crazy. hebron kentucky is apparently hub of chinese product fulfillment.
