if you are using it in your smartphone then put your mic on smartphone mode.
and if you are using it in your DSLR then put it in camera mode, and make sure your mic battery is new/ Charge.

I have tried to record audio with boya by m1 mic and nikon d5100 camera. Audio is recorded but Sound quality is very poor and seems very distant despite trying all settings..
