Thanks for helping me on the mics.
Thank you, very usefull comparison
Do you have a video for the settings for my Nikon D50 to hook up a microphone I'm very new at this thanks
Having trouble hearing audio since connecting my Boya mics. I’m running two through a splitter but I can’t hear myself during the playback. Any idea? Thanks
i want to have a professional mic for Nikon d3400 that eliminates good amt of noise. pls advise
thank you!
Why does the face gets flipped after recording is done? [D5300] Is there any settings? Please reply.
is that mic still good for noisy environment?
You are brilliant Peter! I have the RODE mic. How far away can I sit or stand from it? Is 5 feet okay and it can still pick up sound? TY
Yes more than fine! I have a bunch of reviews on it on my channel if you do a search!
Great video, very helpful! Can your recommendations be used for Nikon’s D3500?

D90?
I am using D5200 for my videos too :) I am using it with Boya BY-M1 which is a $20 lav mic. I find that it works best when plugged into the phone and not into camera.
Hope the course helped you 🙏
@@BVCCo7 It actually did. Thank you for putting it together! I am still working on my first longer videos (I've done several YT Shorts)... Doing videos is so much harder than I thought. All the technical stuff like lights and audio is a piece of cake compared to what happens after you press "record"!
This is exactly what I will do with my Nikon D3500 when I get it.
Honestly the Rode Video Mic Pro sounds the best and seems like the best choice for talking head videos. Though I can see why the lapel is more flexible, its a noticeable step down in sound quality,
ua-cam.com/video/dkQIz-xpsU0/v-deo.html I prefer them deity!
awesome
Since this video is old, it may not be applicable but Z30 has better internal mic than input from external mic. When I connect to external mic, it sounds horrible, that is why I am looking for the answer and I found your video. Thanks!
what if your using a rode mic go
Same principles for lav or shotgun

does anyone here have a Nikon D3500
Right here
@@tomwh1993 have you tried using external microphone?
@@carldixon6817 no I'm looking for my first one. This is quite helpful though
