nicholas lyndhurst is laughing for real for pretty much most of this scene and i don't blame him. Most likely one of the few times they left stuff like that in
I just watched this solely watching Rodney and I can see where he's trying not to burst out laughing especially when tony says "we signed a contwact" 😂😂😂😂
I don’t blame Nicholas for laughing for weal, either. This scene is utterly hilawious! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Yes most probably mate, the bbc are very lets just say anal about what they let through production, so your right this genuine laughter from nicholas lyndhurst is one of very few let slip
If it's entirely in charcater, why not. Of course Rodney would barely hold back laughing.
You can also see Tessa Peake-Jones break character and laugh at 2:02
“That is not funny, Wodney! Rodney!”
😂😂😂😂😂😂
What was the lyrics Tony suppose to sing when he sing green green Grass of home
I don't think that was in the script.
To me, the most clever part of this episode is earlier whenever they meet Tony for the first time. John Sullivan wrote that whole section without Tony having to say a word with an R in it so as not to give away the gag. So well done!
Bwilliant
I hadn’t thought of this before- but yes- how brilliant!!!!
Uncle Albert conning Del out of £1.40 is an underrated joke in this scene
Yeah I agree
Del Boy mouthing “Gween gween gwass of home” as Waquel says it 😂😂
Waquel... So beautiful.
"How can I change the lywics to cwying? Bloody song called cwying!"
Matters quite a lot singing songs either R in
What a brilliant show that was and they missed out the ending where Del finds out that Eugene was happy with the performance and Del called down to Tony and shouted it OK stay with me and I will make you wich. Absolute classic.
yeah enjoy these little segments on YT but defo watch the whole episodes yes?
The bit that cracks me up the most is Raquel reeling off all those song titles 😂
Please Welease Me, Congwatulations, and The Gween, Gween Gwass of Home.
And that was followed by a medley of Wock and Woll.😂😂😂
I'm surprised he didn't sing "The Winnew takes it all."
I haven't got an ism have I Rodney?
"Well there's a lot of crap in the garage"
"An ism? I ain't got an ism, do I Rodney?" " I dunno... Theres a lot of crap in the garage."😂
My favourite parts:
“Can I speak to Mr Twotter?”
“No, not tomowwow! I want me money now.”
“And if a song has got an ‘r’ in it, I change the lywics.”
“Then why didn’t you change the ‘lywics’ tonight?!”
😂😂😂😂 OMG! LMAO! ROFL!
Who's there?
Can I speak to Mr Twotta? 🤣
Rodney’s comedic timing at the start 👌🏾
*Wodney
This is a terwific episode. I thouwoughly enjoy it everwy time I watch it.
Too twue mate, too twue
He can't pronounce his R's so thanks for wuining the joke
@Thomas Gilbey gaming and trainspotting thanks fou cowecting me
@@MrLondonGo kk
That's plenty
Seen this a billion times on TV and only just realised there was a little corpsing going on! I noticed Tessa Peake-Jones giggling at around 1:57. Even Philip Pope (who stole the episode by the way) looked to be stifling a few giggles.
It must have been so difficult for them all to get through filming an episode with all that comedic experience and talent hasting around!
Good catch. There are no way near enough blooper reels for OFAH.
Excellent observation 👍🏻 This episode of OFAH is one of my favourites. I've watched it so many times and yet I never noticed this, until now. Though Nicholas Lyndhurst is clearly laughing for real in this scene, not just acting and is clearly trying not to burst into hysterical laughter at 1.43
I seen it so many times and never noticed that brilliant, the best ever 💯👏🏾👌🏾
David Jason at his best I love this episode 😂
Rodney trying not to laugh is hilarious
IKW? I can’t imagine how it must’ve been for Nicholas Lyndhurst to contwol himself, bless him. 😆😆😆😆
@@n19ntendods 😂😂😂
Wodney.
There are so many fantastic moments in all the Only Fools and Horses..
John Sullivan was a genius..
Trotter liked her joke about the "gween gween gwass of home" so much he mouthed along to it lol.
Oh wow, I've never noticed that before. I'll be sure to point it out when I next watch it with my family.
That’s the first time I’ve ever noticed that. Good find!
Just watched it again. It does look like he's mouthing the other songs
No it’s because he already knew what they were going to sing.
Never noticed that before
0:25: Raquel predicts the Boycie and Marlene spin-off series.
"..and that was followed by a medley of 'wock 'n' 'woll'!"
My stomach hurts after that line....
I got to admit, I cwied laughing when I seen this for the first time
Pure brilliance at it's best Only Fools and Horses ❤️👍
@Thomas Gilbey gaming and trainspotting 😂 👍
“That is not funny Wodney” 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I love this episode imo it’s the funniest from the minute Raquel reels all the song’s names sarcastically to Rodney’s real 😂
0:17 “Please Welease Me”
0:22 “Congwatulations”
0:24 “And The Gween Gween Gwass Of Home”
0:31 “And that was followed by a medley of Wock and Woll”
0:42 “That is not funny Wodney, RODNEY”
I bet Rodney was actually laughing
💯 agreed!
Of course Rodney is laughing you prune
Brilliant nothing will ever be better than fools and horses. Or even come close.
“Welease Wodewick!” (Pontious Pilate, the Life of Bwian)
Stwike him centuwion vewy wuffly!!!
He commands a kwack leigion.
I know every word from every episode of OF&H cos I have watched them so many times. The thing that makes Only fools stand out from the rest of the pack is that "IT COMES ACROSS LIKE IT IS REALITY TV & NOT A SITCOM. Every single person who acted in this legendary show from David Jason to all the people who do the extras can be very proud of the great achievement they have made in this show.
Even though it was a comedy series, it evoked so many different emotions. ❤
John Sullivan also was previously a writer for Citizen Smith.
Rodney: “And that was followed by a medley of Wock and Woll.” *Rodney laughs*
Del-Boy: “That is not funny Wodney, Rodney!”
Hahahahaha! Brilliant!
There are so many really funny episodes on this show, Triggers broom, Del falling through the bar door flap, The chandelier dropping, Rodney hiding in the tower block top when he was accused of molesting a woman but it was all a joke by Del boy "I did it for a laugh" as he took a drink of water out of the water tank, Rodney laughed, Del said, "why are you laughing?" Rodney said, "you don`t know what I have been doing in that water" Probably the best comedy show ever made.
You prune
Only Fools And Horses is a Comedy NOT a show
Shows and COMEDIES ARE entirely different but I'm not sure of the difference between the two
@@stephensnell5707 ever heard of a TV show?, or even a comedy show but I am sorry if the use of my word "show" did not suit you but really, does it matter? Only Fools and Horses was in fact a situation comedy. Ironically, both descriptions are part of "SHOW" business.
Classic comedy never be another trotters great acting and writing 👍
This is what made OFAH legendary John Sullivan is a legend & a genius I can’t decide which is the funniest episode this one or the Jolly Boys Outing as both have me in tears of 😂 no matter how many times I watch them
I love it when del looks round for someone to blame
Anyone else notice Tessa Peake Jones trying her best not to laugh when David Jason said 'Cru de taya la plat'!!!!! lol
You can also see Philip Pope(Tony) trying to keep a straight face
It was a nice feeling to know that my tools on my van were safe for 4 minutes and 13 seconds
Wasn’t he chief inspector Slater?
One of the best tv program out there 🤣
Phillip Pope still does Tony Angelino from time to time. He still sounds great.
Love see the outtakes of this scene
Absolutely bwilliant. Lol 😆🤣😂
Oh yes Derek we saw it through to the death. Please welease me, congwatulations and the gween gween gwass of home. And that was followed by a melody of Wock n Woll 🤣
And that was follow by a medley of Wock n Woll 0:30 🤣🤣
You mean followed
Rachel doesn’t get as much credit as she deserves for this
Brilliant all of it
Who's Rachel?
"cwue de Tay ala plat" 😂
Absolutely brilliant 😂
I haven’t got an ism, have I Rodney? We got alot of crap in the garage 🤣
Wonderful lol 🤣🤣🤣
The 80’s specials are out in a Blu-ray box set December 6th.... with a couple of longer episodes
Matters quite a lot when you're singing songs with r's in.
i loved this episode it was bwilliant
I wish that I had thought of that. Funny.
I agwee
The actor playing Tony has been in movies and Shakespeare plays but he will be best remembered for playing this plonker. Only kidding! He should be proud of the role. I wonder how many times he's been out and about and some clown has shouted 'cwying ' at him or something.
The actor is Philip Pope. He was in a series called Chelmsford 123, which has been rather neglected. It was, I thought very good - subtitled Latin (hilariously) in places - and starred Rory McGrath, Jimmy Mulville, Philip Pope and Howard Lew Lewis (Elmo from Brush Strokes). This episode of OFAH wss 1991, and Chelmsford 123 finished in 1989, so Philip Pope was quite well known at the time.
He was also in Backadder II as Leonardo Acropolis, the painter Edmund hires to paint the bent baby eating Bishop in a comprising position.
Apparently Leonard Pierce had the same deal, he'd had a long theatrical career but was largely known as Grandad by the end of his life. He didn't seem to mind it though.
I wonder if David Jason made mistake with "Wodney" and they decided to keep it in
He also covered that Queen classic "Bohemian Whapsody"! 😅
Best episode in the series!
Raquel' looks sharp'right by the way 😉😉
Hilawious! I think they must have had to struggle to keep it together in this scene!
We signed a contwact 😂😂😂
Hilarious 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Genius 🤣
Anyone if the upcoming Bluray release of the 80s OFAH specials will be UNCUT?. And are they ever going to release the rest of the episodes?. I could've sworn they were due to be released on 22 Nov, but it says Dec now.
Only Fools and Horses was brilliant, but I wish they had ended it when they became millionaires.
Well it is good that it carried on after that and anyway the Trotters don't stay Millionaires for very long
Matters quite alot when your signing songs with r's in😂😂😂
Well I don't sing songs with Rs in em, and if a song has got an R in it I Change the lywics!
@@matthewoleary02 then why didnt you change the lyrics tonight
@@liamcashman7098 How can I change the lywics to cwying? Bloody song's called cwying!
@@matthewoleary02 crude a ta la platt well its alright for me to be cheated!
@@liamcashman7098 He charged me £1.50 for bus fares, it was only when I was putting me dickie bow on I realised he'd got a bus pass!
John Sullivan was to comedy writing what John Williams is to film scores, simply brilliant.
Classic 😂
0:42 😂
British comedy classic brilliant 👏 👌
0:59 😂
Classic
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I met Philip pope 2 weeks ago dressed as del at comic con
Wonder how long till they remove the canned laughter and this becomes a factual documentary on ‘isms
Isn't it an audience?
@@MJN_SEIFER yes it's an audience and with real life laughter
Del: "And I got lumbered with a star whose props are from Lilley & Skinner, Crown Topper and Mattesons."....John Sullivan had a magical sense of comic ability.
I just sweep up and make the tea
🤣🤣🤣
Bwilliant episode.
Crown toppers and mattesons 😂😂😂❤
Del doesn't know his Rs from his elbow
2:26 - Tony: "We signed a Contract!" Not contwact.
When I first saw this scene where he sang I didn't "get" it because as a Northerner everyone in the south of England sounds as though they can't pronounce their Rs.
7 people thumbs down..lol This is a classic lol.
I absolutely adore Raquel. She's the only one who can make Del back up and shut his gob. She was absolutely integral to the final few seasons.
One of the reasons the "final" trilogy doesnt work is she feels constantly beaten and downtrodden. It ruins her character
It's johnathan Ross's brother lol
Bit of a slip up when he said 'Derek' just fine!
When I was a boy in the 1940s we had a pal like that, he would say " I want to be Woy Wogers ? " NO ! " OK can I be Wobin Wood then ? " NO! " I wanna be Gawant Bwade " OK then.
He sang with Bawwy Manilow
Wrock and woll
What episode what this
0:31
She's VERY VERY VERY VERY *BEAUTIFUL* ❤️❤️❤️
VEWY
Could I speak to mr twotter
Shame BBC stopped doing comedy
and replaced it with left wing sociology lectures.
Could’ve said “weeeeeepinggg” no Rs 🤷♂️
If they aiwed this episode today the BBC would pwobably get cancelled.
I saw it on gold a few weeks ago
Weally weally funny! You could say it was wib tickling!
" that's not funny wodney RODNEY"
Sadly this would offend everyone today. Back when comedy was funny and people were happy.
Tony the Man who did a micky take out of Status Quo Boring song
@paulkenney700. If they were doing a Status Quo tribute act they would be singing
Cawoline
Whockin All Over The World
Woll Over Lay Down
Woadhouse Blues
Bweak The Wules
Marguewita Time
I always imagine if gwandad was still alive how better fools and horses would had been with all of them together this lot was nuts enough
that is not funny Wodney, Rodney lololololol xx
I think it's hilarious! I
haven't laughed this much since he got his beard caught in a food mixer.
