I remember watching jamie's great escape for the first time in 2012 (I don't really know when he filmed it), when he traveled to italy, morocco and california, I was delighted to see him cooking and since then I have followed him and made many of his recipes. Can't wait for part 2 and 3 😍🤤💙

With good fresh fish, you just need salt. The highlight is the freshness of the fish. If you need season the fish is not fresh, or bad fish for grilling. From Portugal!

I'm working in Sicily at the moment and the people there are just like those JO encountered...aggressive, unreliable and selfish. The place is squalid with mountains of rotting litter in the streets and every public facility - park benches, street lights, toilets - broken in some way. And the food is dire and very limited in range, not in restaurants but certainly in supermarkets, greengrocers and fishmongers. I've worked all over Europe and never felt so unwelcome in a place. My last job was just outside Venice and it was like a completely different country.

This here is what confirmed what I believed, which is that I always thought this guy was overrated, and he only went after school dinners because they were an easy enough target for him. It was never about doing something for the greater good, it was about trying to peddle his lame food to a more credulous audience... which basically failed :P
