Sausage and Lentils | Jamie’s Great Italian Escape

- Back in Italy with Jamie’s Great Italian Escape! In this episode Jamie tries to get donations for the oldest herb garden in Italy, which is based at a Monastery in Lazio. But to do this he needs to cook up some grub good enough to make the locals dig deep, and on top of that inspire the monks to get a bit more creative in their cooking and reinvigorate their passion for food. Jamie cooks up a roasted sausage with beautiful salsa rossa and lentils which goes down very well!

When you start your culinary training make sure you travel abroad from wherever you’re at different cultures different cuisines and I applaud you for doing this early in life you will succeed

Hold up a sign that says "free food" and then demand donations afterwards. Having a donation tin is fine, but shouting at people who don't donate is just cheap. This is why most people just drive by. They know it isn't actually free.
