My point is that lots of people exaggerated the hours that they play. Maybe he did play that much but i doubt it. He can prove me wrong anytime, i will apologize if he wants.
The Province with Rhodes and Pergamon in it also has 2 wonders, the mausoleum of Halicarnassus and the Colossus, Persis also has 2 wonders in it. So Egypt is not the only province with 2 wonders although i agree it is the best economic province in the game
thank you! I've been waiting for a "Top 5" and here it is! And also the Lusitani / Suebi. the Lusitani have access to the sea(sort of), and their units are pretty sturdy(spearmen in particular). the Suebi though, they have the "Spearwomen" and "Cimbri Bow-women" units, that ROCK. along with Hex-Bearers, the women are the reason.
I like Macedon a lot. If you can manage to keep Sparta and Athen in lines whith you by giving them some gifts, you only have to care about you north/east border, and they will mostly attack you enemys by themselves. Plus, the Greec units are very good against western foes and every non spamming of horse archers factions imo.
Hoplites have no melee damage tho and they get destroyed by late celtic sword units (oathsworn), but other than that the macedonian cavalry is strong af
The cool about your videos is that they seems to be post at least Emperor Augustus campaign so they are really up to date different from most of the total war videos out there keep the good work man.
Did a Kushite campaign and yeah very defensible start position and invading Egypt, capturing Alexandria is a priority for trade to flow into your treasury.
I've always thought Seleucia was a great province. It has access to a wonder that gives *massive* boosts town growth, a grain province, a silk province, and is the border between the far eastern factions, the Seleucid Satraps, and the Western Greco-Turkish factions.
Chris Stamatis maybe but that doesn't change the fact that you are surrounded and an easy target. Plus there are only 3 towns meaning that it will be less effective than Italy or Egypt overall (especially in food production)
You can do fantastic things with the odysyrians. A Psuedo-Triplex Axcies with Merc Hoplites in the front and some Thracian warriors in the back is unstoppable. I've yet to lose a battle using the technique.
I'm two years late anyway I would drop ethiopia and replace it with asia. It is a 4 province region, has 3 different wonders that have their own unique bonuses plus it's close to galatia et cappadocia and armenia which can be good alternative military provinces and syria, a really good trade/economic region.
"Only province in the entire game which has two provinces" The next total war needs that prhase. I though Persis had two as well the mountain and a necropolis too but I might be wrong.
I think a idea for a list that he could have done is provinces with best mercenary pools or variations Also can you only get mercenary gladiators in vanilla when playing as Rome or any faction because I can't find them in Divide et Impera or the Radious Mod overhaul
hands down has to be hellas. great cities, resources and you can take, defend and control many territories since so many cities are close together. also it allows you to expand in all directions rapidly. if you are playing athens, they have an op navy and hence can quickly conquer smaller settlements in the agean. last but not least for trade it is incredible. you get the best of the west and all the spcial resources from the east.
Aethiopea gives me an idea, maybe there is a mod, I would not know. You can of course cross the hazardous sea, why not make it so you can march an army across the Sahara?? It would be dangerous and ambitious tasks as walking into the area would weaken your army. I do not know if this sort of programming is even possible, just mentioning it here in case the right person sees it.
+Darmok That sounds alot like the way units could move between theatres in Empire total war. The engine would certainly be capable of it but i wouldn't know how to edit map files
but you can also be attacked very easily, all of the Thracian tribes funnel towards your main city and if they attack from both sides you are fucked. also only 3 settlements and no huge advantage to holding it.
I think Africa is the best. It's pretty safe from the south due to it being on the edge. Also there's dessert on the east so you can ambush your enemies on the road. It has elpahents which are ancient tanks. It is PERFECT to invade Italy, and Greece. Also Spain. And its protected by deep waters.
Asia with 4 provinces, marble that decrease construction and wonder of rhodes that decrease fleet recruitment cost i think 10% and one more wonder that boost income should be easy ahead of Ethiopia and Britannia Mauretania has 2 settlement buildings that gives a huge boost to industry like 50% on my campaign now,and 3 ports also very nice. My list would be : Mauretania, Asia,Africa, Egypt, Italy. Between Egypt and Italy i find it difficulty to choose the best, Italy when completely converted to trading buildings is more profitable that Egypt because of the 15% income bonus of Rome, plus the Wine and Olive buildings that boost income but Egypt produces food
who cares which province is the best when every single province will inevitably be yours by grounding every faction you encounter with your OP armoured legionnaires and praetorian guard units fully stacked in every single legion in the army
How do you win as Egypt? I only got to around a few turns before the Seleucids absolutely annihilated my forces. I swear I charged a single unit of pikemen with several Egyptian infantry by surrounding them and still lost every fight
I think Syria is best economic province in game. Its always a trading hub between east and west.
Cities have unique bonuses?? I played 800+ hours, and never knew...
Rome, Pella, Pergamon. Antioch, Carthage
WTF? 800 hours? Why do you have so many free times? Do you even work?
1234kalmar ive put 2789 hours and didnt know XD
800 is barely anything lol idk why youre freaking out
My point is that lots of people exaggerated the hours that they play. Maybe he did play that much but i doubt it. He can prove me wrong anytime, i will apologize if he wants.
grain settlements are op
no downsides at all. free food for everyone!
The Province with Rhodes and Pergamon in it also has 2 wonders, the mausoleum of Halicarnassus and the Colossus, Persis also has 2 wonders in it. So Egypt is not the only province with 2 wonders although i agree it is the best economic province in the game
leyasu888 Thanks for the heads-up!
thank you! I've been waiting for a "Top 5" and here it is! And also the Lusitani / Suebi. the Lusitani have access to the sea(sort of), and their units are pretty sturdy(spearmen in particular).

SenorAfrikaan Thanks for watching and your handy comment!
***** no problem. thanks for the reply aswell! :D can't wait for your next vids!

JonatasMonte Most of them are, thanks.
baktria has a really op position
The starting position is with the iceni the best in the game, but Baktria doesn´t have good Provinces
@@DangeHD yeah but they have gold in one of their provinces
crazy dutch accent i hear...
Andre A That's the way I roll :)
+Total War Zone are you dutch?
i can confirm as a dutch person it is a dutch accent he uses
Eric Krom hij heeft totaal geen nederlands accent maar oké als jij dat vind
Dani SALy Heeft die wel, hij heeft eerder al eens gezegd dat hij een Afrikaner is (Nederlands sprekende mensen).
Did a Kushite campaign and yeah very defensible start position and invading Egypt, capturing Alexandria is a priority for trade to flow into your treasury.
I love to take the channel because you have the monopoly on spice
For the next top 5: What is in your opinion the best barbarian faction in Rome 2?
the Averni
THE BELGAE!!!!
Hands down Tylis. Skirmisher cav/Thracian peltast combo with the tribal warriors is a beast.
Tylis and the Boii are the first, third the Galatinan and four the Arverni, five don't know but I think it's the Iceni
Arverni
The Iceni! Best barbarian position in the game.
i want a top ten worst grand campaign factions in rome 2.
Haha jij komt sowieso uit Nederland! Leuke video's man. Keep em coming!
Bobby J Yep, thanks :)
Total War Zone jee meer Nederlanders

Nice video pal, must admit I do like playing the Iceni though.
Mick. :)
michael gentleman Thanks mate!
***** Flanders approves!
1st place! Keep them coming mate. Brilliant video.
Ross Whitelaw Thanks! Yep, I agreed with your pick :D
no syria? syria is TOP economical province better than africa or aegyptus. shame
+Ivan Jerkovic Nah macedon all the way just spam mines and industry with a temple to hephasteous
yeah but no grain. also it is not a great province geographically surrounded on all sides but never on a main front
every faction that surrounds macedon is weak and easy to capture
Chris Stamatis maybe but that doesn't change the fact that you are surrounded and an easy target.
Plus there are only 3 towns meaning that it will be less effective than Italy or Egypt overall (especially in food production)
If you are the romans then magna graecia is literally the best military provinces
Thanks for the vid!
Mauretania all the way. If you calculate well, it can outmatch EVERY other province in Income.
How? There are only three cities.
@@suomusintti false, 4
great video man , subbed!
Thanks mate, I'm glad you enjoy my videos!
1:57 What is that for a building?
It's not a building. It's unique carthagian port. You can see it only in battle map if Carthagen have a 3 tier(megapolis) or more.
You can do fantastic things with the odysyrians. A Psuedo-Triplex Axcies with Merc Hoplites in the front and some Thracian warriors in the back is unstoppable. I've yet to lose a battle using the technique.
Seleucid Empire #1
No no

"Only province in the entire game which has two provinces" The next total war needs that prhase. I though Persis had two as well the mountain and a necropolis too but I might be wrong.
Syria, Mesopotamia and Crimean penninsula are pretty op provinces as well.
I think a idea for a list that he could have done is provinces with best mercenary pools or variations
Also can you only get mercenary gladiators in vanilla when playing as Rome or any faction because I can't find them in Divide et Impera or the Radious Mod overhaul
Brittania was hard to conquer because I couldn't transport any armies without being attacked
make "Top 5 BEST CAMPAIGN PROVINCES in Total War: Attila" please bro.
How can you pick libya and play with it
Nothing beats the Attila settlements
He should do these videos for NTW, ETW, S2TW, and etc.
hands down has to be hellas. great cities, resources and you can take, defend and control many territories since so many cities are close together. also it allows you to expand in all directions rapidly. if you are playing athens, they have an op navy and hence can quickly conquer smaller settlements in the agean. last but not least for trade it is incredible. you get the best of the west and all the spcial resources from the east.
+saltim bocca Naw Egypt all day. Two grain cities is such a boss start plus Iron...
Why do you have the colloseum in your Rome city ? I thought only atilla had it ?
Aethiopea gives me an idea, maybe there is a mod, I would not know. You can of course cross the hazardous sea, why not make it so you can march an army across the Sahara?? one question, how do you recruit merc samnite warriors and merc etruscan hoplites?
drake nemorin In the Italian provinces if I'm correct.
Without HATG DLC
how are you playing aksum?
with path is it Where you can get samnite spear units
Hoi Hallo i am Martijn en ik i going to lead you door another vid. Always makes me laugh hearing another Dutch go English.
macedonia is the best province, you can attack both east and west, also the triangular shape made it pretty easy to defend.
+believe German K5 You left out the bonus to industry:P
but you can also be attacked very easily, all of the Thracian tribes funnel towards your main city and if they attack from both sides you are fucked.
also only 3 settlements and no huge advantage to holding it.
how do you draw on the tactical map?
I think Africa is the best. It's pretty safe from the south due to it being on the edge. Also there's dessert on the east so you can ambush your enemies on the road. It has elpahents which are ancient tanks. It is PERFECT to invade Italy, and Greece. Also Spain. And its protected by deep waters.
You forgot Mauretania...economic powerhouse if you know what you're doing.
Asia with 4 provinces, marble that decrease construction and wonder of rhodes that decrease fleet recruitment cost i think 10% and one more wonder that boost income should be easy ahead of Ethiopia and Britannia

who cares which province is the best when every single province will inevitably be yours by grounding every faction you encounter with your OP armoured legionnaires and praetorian guard units fully stacked in every single legion in the army
Who uses armoured legionnaires and praetorian guard? I had my late game army template by turn 10 or so with auxilleries.
which mir so you har
number one has to be boii, the best sword fac in the game
No, Rome has the best sword units.
ow can we play libya or little faction like this one ?
TheGmt717 With a mod you can.
***** could you give me the name please ^^' ?
or someone else can :) ?
TheGmt717 "All factions playable". You will find it if you search that in the Steam Workshop!
***** does the mod work on multiplayer campaign?
Plus the Kushites aren't weak
syria, i got 7000+ income just from one province (with Tax harvesting & dignitary) in palmyra campaign. At 80 plus turn.
Novel Ramadhan 7.7k turn 40 in latium from someone with almost no experience and hardest difficulty
samnite warriors are in magna graecia
Asia has 2 wonders
Yo... Say hi to me... Just to put that like tho
best province of whole game is province with main city Efez
No Galatia Et Cappadocia? Great Military Province.
where are u from?
Bla Alb netherlands
How do you win as Egypt? I only got to around a few turns before the Seleucids absolutely annihilated my forces. I swear I charged a single unit of pikemen with several Egyptian infantry by surrounding them and still lost every fight
dont use egyptian infantry. they are awful. try using the more greek units that you have.
Conquer the whole of North Africa and only use Greek troops
3:13 loooool
Egypt only province with 2 wonders? LOL. Asia have 2 wonders and Pergamon(+20% to industrial income)
