Einblick in das O-Bussystem der südwestlichen tschechischen Stadt České Budějovice, welches zum Besuchszeitpunkt noch zahlreiche Altbaufahrzeuge des Typs 15TrM im Einsatz hatte. Diese hochflurigen Gelenkwagen kamen hauptsächlich zu den Hauptverkehrszeiten in den Einsatz. Gestemmt wurde der Verkehr durch die niederflurigen 25Tr-Gelenkwagen, sowie den ersten beiden Solaris-Trolleybussen. Dieses Video zeigt das Streckennetz ohne großartige Lücken, beginnend von westlicher Richtung nach Norden, sowie darauf von Osten in Richtung Süden. Nach dem Videoabschluss auf der Dienststrecke zum Depot folgen noch zwei Mitfahrten aus Sicht des Fahrgastes.

The city looks very clean and well maintained.
As someone who lives there, it is relative. Much more chaos than in germany, much better than poland and other eastern block countries.

Класс!!! Вот бы все такие модели троллейбусов купили в Минске. У нас хоть младше, но выглядят старыми после перекраски кузова и поручней, у чехов эксплуатировать тролл-ы надо еще поучиться. Полжизни бы отдал, чтобы жить в том городе и управлять Skoda 15tr!

Interesting Trolleys and most of them Are Arcimulated trolleys which in my city barely exist and we still have one of the older models too
All trolleybuses in České Budějovice are articulated
@@jonarthritiskwanhc Not true, we had quite a few of the small ones too. I believe line 15 used them a lot.
@@Pyrochemik007Budějovice operated (post 80's) only the articulated ones (two batches of Tr15, then some Tr15-M, then quite large batch of Tr25, Solarises, most recently Sors). There were only 2 pieces of a short format, both Tr21 and both for very short time, they were quite problematic, both for the task (just too small for what the trolleybusses are mainly used for there - as the backbone), as well as suffering from technical problems: The Tr21 was the first supposedly "universal voltage" (supporting both 600VDC, as well as 750VDC systems) design, but it had a lot of problems at 750V, mainly when the real voltage at the wires was more around 800V. They were sold to some "600V" city, where the Tr21 runs just fine.
Plus later was acquired one historic Tr9 (but equipped with technology from 750V Tr14/15), but that is not for regular service.
Tolles Video :) Etwa die Hälfte der O-busse in Jerewan sind Škoda 14Trs :) Die sind aber alle mindestens 25 Jahre alt und sehen in der Regel ganz schäbig aus... :(

Vielen Dank für Ihres Video! Es ist schön meine Heimatstadt mit hiesigen Obussen in Ihrem Video zu sehen. Ich bin auch ein Busfan und fotografiere gern in Budweis unseren öffentlichen Personennahverkehr. Aber ich drehe nicht.

Ich möchte noch etwas sagen. Sie haben einige Neuigkeiten aufgezeichnet; z. B. die neue Kreuzung neben dem Bahnhof in der Zeit 18:31, die seit einigen Wochen in Betrieb ist (die neue Abbiegung nach links für Busse und Obusse), oder die neue Stimme in den Wagen ("nächste Haltestelle..."). Dann auch etwas Außerordentliches in der Zeit 24:47. Dieser Fahrdraht (die innere Spur) ist nicht normalerweise benutzt. Aber zur Zeit gibt es dort einen Umbau des Gehweges und deshalb ist dieser Fahrdraht benutzt. Und auch das neues Logo, z. B.

Axles are Rába, but engine is Škoda.
Is typická czech car feom the Škoda factory type 14 And 15 Té. Thé same Are using in lot od cities around thé world.

Very good and fast trolleybuses! Wodnerful trolleybus system. Trolleybuses in my city is much slower and noisier.
George TramFan agreed. I live in San Francisco where the trolley buses are REALLY loud. But I like it, it amuses me.
Maybe trolleubuses in my city are not very loud, but its are slow and people think that the trolleybuses are bad type of transport and people want to change trolleybuses for minibuses(we call them "marshritki", I thenk you know what is it)... I'm afrad it could happend and city will lose ecologicaly clean, economical type of transport.

Strange that small city has trolleybuses but at same time is nice, in our country just bigger cities has them.
Whic country is yours? I believe in the former communist countries, the extensive tram/trolleybus networks are just remnants of the past develpment. Unfortunately, they would not be built nowadays anymore. Everybody would opt for cars/buses and the metro (in Prague) :-(

About 2/3 minutes into film notice RED & CREAM trolly bus #02 (or#62) pulling away from cut, see from rear pulling away from curb.
It shows advantages of electric bus nicely.
ONE
Fast smooth acceleration, without slow sluggish diesel to cruising speed.
TWO
No lurching, caused by gear shifting.
THREE
Low noise.
and for environment
FOUR
No foul smelling clouds of POLLUTED SMOKE
The rapid acceleration also has another advantage. It reduces time.from start to end. of a long heavily traveled route enabling up to a third less busses to serve a route because of reduced travel time of same capacity busses.
Passengers get a smoother ride with less noise and odor also.
Škoda 14Tr and 15Tr models are actually noisy, and sound isolation is not super. But well-maintained motors have a characteristic sound that the fans of these trolleys appreciate. These thyristor sounds (on acceleration) are also characteristic to Škodas.
The nice thing is, that there is no motor sound during a stop, with sometimes the exception of the compressor.
Another plus is, that they're good on steep hills and inclinations, maybe less noisy than the buses of that era, and certainly less polluting.

No, the 15Tr dont produced now! But in CB the workers do very good works in Depot and hold the vehicles very clean! A lot of other cities can learn from CB!
it's so unusual for a trolleybus to run in such a small town. in Russia, electric transport is not allowed in cities with a population of less than 100,000 inhabitants. there it is believed that buses cope with passenger traffic
😯 okay, not allowed? Wow...but not unterstandable. Here in europe are a lot of small cities with trams and trolleybusses.

The time for paradise is over. Some 15Tr are in service, but its not so much like in older years.

Budweis the German name for Ceske Budejovice should have actually helped San Francisco Muni keep running their 7100s Skoda 15trs as Museum pieces or regular service

Yes, that's true, unfortunately that were disabled :-/ but last 15TrM are in the service, meanwhile :-) so, for me is the biggest minus that hasn't historical Skoda-Sanos, but it's very nice trolley system with nice interurban track and nice oldtown tracks :-) But the old classic 14Tr and 15Tr missing here
But it's great fun to catching the last of them ;)
Old great trolleybuses, but they are less and less nowadays, new models more and more, I just hope that they will NOT scrap them and they will give them 2nd life somewhere in the world, maybe in NK? I know that hundreds of them (trams, trolleys, buses) are sold to Ukraine where they live yet for many more years, but there mainteance is unfortunately very very poor...
I think not many 14/15Tr will be scraped in Cz...a lot are sold to Ukraina. They need some good trolleybusses and they can be lucky, that now they can get it from CZ next time. but i think a problem will come, when no 14/15Tr can be get from CZ...ad this case will be really next years :-o

что не нравится так это их лихачество, на остановку залетают, с остановки вылетают, весь троллебус бросает во все стороны, это не есть хорошо для комфорта людей, такие гонки...

mě by jenom zajímalo, jakej typ nápravy a uchycení kola tyhle mašiny mají.. stejný sou i v Chomutově ale třeba v Ústí nad Labem sou vidět klasický široký válcový ráby ale tyhle hvězdicovitý hrotový nevim co je to za typ..
