For a parent there is no worse tragedy in life than to find out their child has been killed. I have so much empathy for what they're going through.💔

This makes me cry. My brother was murdered in his home along with 2 other people. He was the target and was shot 9 times. This just re-opens the wounds. I hope the families get better justice than we did. Heartbreaking 😢

Why is a cop transporting roommates personal property in their patrol car? I've never ever seen that before. Nor a moving truck filled with King Rds personal property and being driven by the captain of the police department. I'm a bit bewildered at the moment. I can't believe my eyes are seeing this.

WTF, WTF, WTF. it’s weird enough that they’re handling the victim’s personal items at all, add diverting a box into the back of a patrol car and… we get WTF x5 from me
That's sad.. The victims whole lives are in those boxes and such, lives that were cut tragically and terribly short. May they all rest in peace, my thoughts are with the families. :(
Exactly what I thought. Just weeks ago, those beautiful people held these things and treasured them. And now they're gone and their treasured belongings are in boxes too, its so sad

I was thinking of that because some people don’t realize they don’t clean up the crime scene. We had to do the same with my dad. It was awful. Hopefully A company can come in and do it. It’s so heart breaking for the families especially now the Holidays. 🙏

Thinking about how the poor parents took their kids to college, helped carry in their belongings, set up their rooms and this is how the kids are being moved out, belongings returned. Just heartbreaking.

Mine is going off to college next year. As if it isnt already scary enough, this case has me so sad and my anxiety is thru the roof. I cant even try to put myself in the shoes of these parents. 😔

I do not feel like a kid who was angry committed these murders. They seem to me like the crime of a deranged man who might have been watching them without their knowledge for some time

It’s odd AF. If he told them he’d get their items personally, that’s odd AF too. Most parents would want to be in control of their child’s belongings and not have cops packing their daughters clothing and sentimental items. This is beyond fkn weird. & a cop put a box into the back of his patrol car!

So so sad my heart goes out to them. First their bodies were sent to the family in a box, and now their belongings are sent to them again in a box. Please God help those law enforcements get this killer so these families could have closure. Blessings from Canada 🇨🇦.

Are they doing this to be nice or to try to appease the families? I’ve never seen a police department do this before. Normally, the families are on their own. I know many of the family members are frustrated with the police at the moment.
They are doing it because they have yet to release the crime scene and 2 of the tenants who survived have all their belongings there and they need them, clothing, books, possessions
I was just wondering if police normally do this, too. Maybe because it was a rental with different families involved? I also wonder if they were checking for any missed evidence as they did this.

I thought that no one could move or touch the scene of a crime, also they can’t demolish the house until the jurors see evidence and everything.

Liz - It probably won't be "condemned". If the property owners are smart people, they should demolish the large 3 story house, with the goal of building another structure on the large lot because otherwise - it will just become a monument to the macabre as it is literally a "House of Horrors", any way you look at it.

I take comfort in the fact that the Police chief seemed almost jovial yesterday announcing this...and he assures us this is not a cold case.....I hope they catch the evil creep soon and karma comes in a big way.....sorrowful tragedy...

I went to WSU and lived with close friends in a house just like this. The summer we all moved out, it was funny and bittersweet even though we knew we’d all be together again that fall. One roommate’s mom brought ziplock baggies and very carefully divided every bottle of seasonings into equal portions. One dad checked the pressure on everyone’s tires and their oil dipsticks. We had an impromptu food fight with all the perishables which then required us to spend hours more cleaning up and doing laundry.
It sickens me to see their lives packed into boxes and hauled out by cops who have already fumbled the investigation.
I’m so sad for everyone affected.

1. No suspect is in custody
2. Police announced there was no threat to the public, then reversed their statement
3. Police announced attack was ‘targeted’, then reversed THAT statement
4. Investigation is *just now* focusing on the nearby fraternity where two victims spent their last living hours
5. Moscow police, despite having no experience in a case like this, did not immediately consult with experts, which would have prevented so many embarrassing situations such as what I listed above.
6. One person who was ‘ruled out’ (the male in the hoodie at the food truck) has reportedly left the country after refusing a DNA swab: how does that happen?
7. Police have claimed the murder is most likely committed by a single person because the wounds all look the same, *in a region that is absolutely crawling with hunters, survivalists, campers, fishermen, and right wing militants that ALL carry a knife just like the one that inflicted these wounds*. All the Manson / Tate murder wounds looked the same; *because all the killers carried Buck knives that were purchased for the murder* . The Tate murder is famous; it’s unbelievable that these police didn’t even think of it.
None of this is “conspiracy”.
These are all verifiable points.
Despite your assumptions, I do have knowledge of law, especially criminal law, and investigations.
I’ve personally attended more than ten full murder trials and dozens of other partial trials or hearings, and interviewed dozens of detectives, beat cops, prosecutors, and families / friends of murder victims.h

In a struggle with multiple victims there is no way to tell any of those “Sherlock Holmes” fantasies you listed, and Noguchi records right in his autopsy notes the *facts* (measurement of wounds and visual description), not wild guesses about whether Susan Atkins or Tex Watson had to switch hands during a massive fight. Noguchi and the LAPD and LASO all operated on a “single killer” theory *because* there didn’t appear to be multiple knives. They thought the killer had a knife and a gun and that was their working theory in 1969. Pathetic that in 2022 nobody has learned a single thing.

If you bothered to listen to the police press conference, you would know that. He had a 5 hour drive. @hugh1766 your statement -most rentals aren’t even owned by the owner, doesn’t make a shred of sense. The bank doesn’t own houses and rent them out to people. They are either owned by the owner or by a rental management company or perhaps the University, the only way the bank would own it is if they defaulted on their mortgage. I’ve been in the rental business for the last decade, I would never try to continue renting out this property.

No one wants to rent that place right now it’s probably going to be empty at least the rest of this school year. You would go rent a place where 4 people were Murdered last month.
