      If it was so easy then why that 20 years old so called prodigy Spaniard boy lost against Medvedev in Semi-final ?
      If it is so easy to do it, then why Medvedev is World No 3 now ? He should have been out of top 50.

  • @philipcross8121

    I know what you mean but Medvedev does hit outrageous returns even from that far back so it's still a huge risk to serve-and-volley, hence why so many don't do it.
    Eubanks did it at Wimbledon and had success against Medvedev but just got tired in the end.
    Also, you also have to be able to volley deep or create difficult angles with your volleys and this is what Djokovic did extremely well.
    Djokovic does use the tactic from time to time but it's good to see Djokovic play this much serve-and-volley in a match.
    It's dying out and only specialists like Mahut employ the tactic anymore.
    The adaptability of Djokovic is one of his biggest strengths.
    That's why he can still beat Alcaraz, Sinner and Medvedev at age 36!

    • @professor_of_logic
      @professor_of_logic 11 місяців тому
