Novak was on fire at the net in the 2023 US Open final
He can thank the bottle prepared by his coach (doping).
@@Occupied_Palestine_will_win And how does doping help you with volleying ?
@@Occupied_Palestine_will_winidiot
You better drink from a different bottle 😂
I think the reason he has been able to stay on top at his age is that he has continued to refine his game and tactics. He didn't stop trying to get better when he became number 1.
Even changed his serve at one point. That is a very hard change to make.
Well said
Easy to serve and volley when your opponent is standing twenty feet behind the baseline 🙄
And yet, there he was in the finals. Goofy comment.
If it was so easy then why that 20 years old so called prodigy Spaniard boy lost against Medvedev in Semi-final ?
If it is so easy to do it, then why Medvedev is World No 3 now ? He should have been out of top 50.
And why is he "standing twenty feet behind the baseline" ?
I've been following Novak since the beginning of his career, but I've never seen him run to the net as much as he did in this match. Well done...
Thanks. I had the feeling it was more than usual
He did something similar at the French open 2016 Final against Andy Murray, especially during the second set.
Watch AO23
he knew he had to end the points quickly. Hash tag, he's old
@@cormorant_on_arock7934 Obviously, he is. But he’s still going strong. Wimbledon final spanned around 5 hrs. Even the 3 setter Cincinnati final went around 4hrs
It's good to see Novak serving & volleying more . For years have been saying this .
Think the courts were slow and Mev was standing so far back it gave an opening for the S&V
@@StreetWiseTennisnever heard slow court is good for s&v
Had he heard you, maybe he could have done better 😅
@@lolowong439it can be done if you are comfortable having enough time at the net. Federer also had this philosophy
My boy djokovic went and won the us open in 3 straight sets to complete 4 finals of GS in a year and 3 won. All of that at 36 years old. What a fking leyend
Djokovic figured out an answer to Medvedev standing way back to return serve. There are very few serve and volley players ranked in the top 50 in the world today so Medvedev has been able to stand way back.
Anyone else notice his smash was on point too? GOAT
DJOKOVIC, IS DOMINATING EVERYTHING SINCE 2011!!! NO DOUBT ABOUT THAT!! HE HAS ALL RECORD AND STILL ARE A EQUAL COMPETITOR AGAINST ALCARAZ, SINNER AND MEDVEDEV!! HE IS THE GOAT !!!
Exactly😊
He is little bit more equal then mentioned 3...
He refined himself to perfection
Absolute,undisputed SPORTGOAT!
With that i totally agree!
Novak juega cada vez mejor. Quién diría que ahora es un jugador se saque y red...es un superdotado hace todo bien. Federer nunca mejoró su revés y Nadal jamás su saque.
Thanks for uploading. I was hoping someone put them all together. (UA-cam suggestion for the win).
It was a serve and volley masterclass, especially the one to save break point in the second set 2:20. Chef's kiss!
Thanks. Glad you found us!!!
He conserved a lot of energy in this.
Very true
WOW , MR . GOAT - NOVAK NOLE DJOKOVIĆ !!!!! ...........
No know it
Thanks for such a great video! Novak Djokovic at his best, mastering the game as ever, but also reinventing himself, always learning and improving. He was brilliant at the net in this US Open final. What a fantastic champion, warrior and inspiration.
Thank you glad you liked it!
No more weaknesses in his game
Boris Becker maybe help Novak his volley game, but he made it to perfection!!! But, it’s not only volley, Novak has all package 📦 Someone else maybe play very good volley game, but he doesn’t possess all other skills like Novak!!! Nobody had, that’s why he’s The Greatest tennis 🎾 player who ever played the game 🐐
So true...
Nole knows, Medvedev is a great hard-court player whose favorite surface is the US Open, what does Nole and his team come up with, serve an volley... Great players find a way!! that's why he is legend, THE GOAT!
Exactly!
No weakness in his game. Mind body in pure sync.
*Djokosmash enters the smash*
@@drtash21 hardly called “a weakness”. A blemish maybe. A weakness no.
It works even today especially if these idiots stand so far back.
Surprised mev and his team did not adjust
@@StreetWiseTennis exactly: how could they not make that adjustment is beyond “us”!!
He won more than 80% net volley point in this final match.
That is awesome.
Ist ein richtiger Volleyspieler geworden der Novak. Da waren ein paar richtig geniale Teile dabei.
Ich stimme zu. Danke fürs zuschauen
Serve n volley Easier than it looks
Precision in serving out wide and volleying to the other corner
He has superb control
Goat
A man on an absolute mission on his return to NYC. Well done Novak - the people salute you.
Hes going to do more of this for sure ....why run left right like hell when you can run forward once
Djokovic was on another level that day! Even Edberg would be impressed with his serve and volley
I know what you mean but Medvedev does hit outrageous returns even from that far back so it's still a huge risk to serve-and-volley, hence why so many don't do it.
Eubanks did it at Wimbledon and had success against Medvedev but just got tired in the end.
Also, you also have to be able to volley deep or create difficult angles with your volleys and this is what Djokovic did extremely well.
Djokovic does use the tactic from time to time but it's good to see Djokovic play this much serve-and-volley in a match.
It's dying out and only specialists like Mahut employ the tactic anymore.
The adaptability of Djokovic is one of his biggest strengths.
That's why he can still beat Alcaraz, Sinner and Medvedev at age 36!
He could and can beat anyone! And I believe he can do it for a few more years, at least. If Federer, Nadal and Murray failed, I doubt that the trio you mention has any chance in the foreseeable future!
Great video. If only the sound from the court was loader i would give 10/10.
Good luck!
Thanks
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thanks
Defensive player
Carobno
By far better volleys than anything Federer ever pulled off in a real match.
Oh boy, you are looking for the smoke lol. Nice name!
As Alcaraz lost in semi final, it became cake walk for Novak
lol, to win you have to make the finals first.
yeah Medvedev is a piece of cake! what a stupid comment
Please don't be so salty dude
Meddy is no cakewalk kinda wild to say something like that
Novak could have even gotten injured during the final as well
Give credit where credit is due.
One thing I learned is in tennis anyone can have their day
Thing is Novak has been through everything that tennis could throw at him he is just tough to beat only his body and health is his worst nightmare at this point in time in my opinion and novak is trying his best to be healthy even sacrificing to skip the shot
@@iamdalibor👍👍 ❤️ so glad you sad it we like both guys Medvedez he is a good 👍 player and he has A good 👍 character very lovable person & he is A good guy On the day may the best player win anyways just saying 🫶 🫶 my Tennis 🎾
Stupid ATP IN A FEW YEARS SERVE&VOLLEY TREND WILL RETURN AND THEY WILL SPEED UP THE COURTS AGAIN on the other hand, it's funny that one player named federer turned the entire discipline upside down and changes had to be made to the surfaces to make it fair for other players.
what?
The courts are faster than in the federer era. Always trying to find excuses. This is not a winner's mentality. The data is available online.
dude what
People do believe to "presstitutes" because they dont have time to compare facts and stats. Here is analyse of court speeds, in regard to presstitutes lies about they beloved by task Federer - ua-cam.com/video/eKWlOtdOJfA/v-deo.html
ille
Not as good as Rog and Rafa, but ok.
Roger yes but not Rafa lol
Overall Rog and Rafa are not as good as Novak, but ok
Much better than both of them. When Roger tried serve and volley against Novak he got punished every time.
Really !😂
@@StreetWiseTennis not even Roger...never won final of GS with serve and voley. He tried vs Djokovic one year even had that special return and run to the net, Djokovic killed him with lobs and passing shots.
If Meddy had gone long here 3:33 we would've had a totally different match.. I guess he was afraid to go for the win
If Chelsea had not lost to Arsenal - they would have been champions!
If my grandfather had been born as a woman, then he would have been my grandmother, maybe...etc.
Your arguments are deeply thought out, as far as I can see...
@@professor_of_logic You're protecting Medvedevs fear I see;)
I'm curious to see your next useless reply😀
@@Hello2u3582mypincode I think we didn't understand each other - I was responding to those who wrote that Novak had to play like that, because otherwise WHO KNOWS WHAT WOULD HAVE HAPPENED. I wanted to say that those theories "if Medvedev had played differently" have no tenacity, because it is a "what if" theory... I believe we did not understand each other! 👍
