Just wanted to let you know, I watched this video last night and went kayak fishing in Mosquito Lagoon this morning. I spent the morning cruising the shoreline looking for reds but couldn’t find any. Got really frustrated, wind picked up, I was on my way back when I saw a windblown flat on the front of an island and started drifting while casting a Mirrodine and then BOOM! Got my new PB Snook. Your advice turned a bad day into a great day so thanks!

I’ve noticed the same thing, this time of year I have a system, launch the kayak 30 mins before daybreak, fish topwaters and small soft plastics, pull out around 11, go grab some lunch maybe visit a tackle shop to kill time and then head back out around 3 pm and fish baits like the 5” provoker or the DSL super model or a big jerk bait (shadow rap) until dust when I hit the topwater again

Either a snell or palomar… remember it catches big fish
